Well, I hate cigar smoke, and i don't like bourbon but Love this cute tucked away quaint spot Tonight I took my hubby upstairs to the garden of burbon. Like a secret little speakeasy of WAXHAW. even though they didn't have a secret handshake or a trap door I really think this place is a hidden gem if you want to pop in for a drink, a cigar or a comfortable atmosphere, and their blue ox air cleansers really help with the air so I as an asthmatic didn't have a problem. This place is such a great find in the small town of Waxhaw! My husband got an amazing quality cigar with great service on describing the different cigar flavors and I got a delicious mixed drink! The atmosphere is so organic and it feels like a genuine historic lounge. When i got to talking with the owners I was so impressed, they are such kind people and one owners is actually a firefighter himself! Talk about a local hero! Had a great first visit here. My wife and I needed to get out of the house for a while and I hadn't had a cigar for a while. The owners are very nice and helpful. We chose a cigar I had never had, my wife had a Chardonnay and I had a whiskey. The air purifiers they have work wonders. Dropped in to pick up a couple of cigars to go for my dad and I but after viewing the lounge we decided to stay. The lounge area has a classical look with comfortable chairs and sofas. It was like stepping back in time; in a positive way. In addition they had a good selection of bourbon and scotch to compliment the smokey treats. Dave was working this day so after striking up a conversation with him about cigars and the history of the building he decided to join us for a smoke.
