But the Judges of this courthouse here, even if someone was there for a bad unfortunate charge against somebody, they are very nice and professional, real people and just (setting a wrong matter right) and as a matter of fact all the judges that are in this courthouse, yea every last single one of them should be re-elected to serve in their judge position. They are the best they understand, they listen to you and they don't interrupt people when they're talking they're professional and respectful of people's feelings like a real professional, and it seems as if they know people have messed up and they are trying to correct the problem and help them regain their standing. I applaud all of the judges in this court house because they are simply the best!

ALL criminal cases are adjudicated here, as are civil cases: Las Vegas Justice Court and small claims court for LAS VEGAS small claims matters. HENDERSON JUSTICE COURT is in Henderson and hear small claims cases out of Henderson. You would NOT come to the RJC for any Henderson case out of Henderson Justice Court. Read your court papers carefully as they clearly identify the Court your case is filed in. It's clear to me by prior reviews people have no idea what this building does and doesn't represent. Same with each courtroom. No one is there to provide you "customer service." That you think such a thing exists in a courthouse is wild. Come prepared or face the consequences. It really is that simple. If you don't know what that means, look at the courtroom rules for your specific department online. Each department has their own rules as stated by the Judge! If people look like hookers & pimps...guess what? They probably are & are most likely there for a criminal case. They're not interested in courtroom etiquette or dressing appropriately. There are worse people on bond roaming the court to worry about than sex workers. And to those who think it's ok to smoke weed in government buildings, especially the courthouse...yeah, you're in criminal court for reasons which are obvious. Smoking weed in public outside of your home or designated places that are legal to do so is still very much illegal under the NRS whether you think the law is stupid or not. Maybe if you quit breaking the law you wouldn't find yourself in this building

I only took pics from the outside but should have taken some in the courtroom. It was the most beautiful courtroom I've ever seen!! Not that I've been in too many, usually for jury duty. Security was very strict, we were asked multiple times where we were going. One thing to note, don't bring in the Disney's Galaxy's Edge spirals! I had 2 in my purse and they couldn't figure out what was in my purse! It took a minute and finally found them and let us through. The metal gift cards were thick enough to set off the metal detectors. I forgot they were there! Otherwise, everyone was nice and helpful. We were lucky to find a parking spot on the street behind the courthouse. There were spaces with 10 hour limits. Recommend to view the architecture!

Just a few years ago, I had a civil matter I had to take care of with some other roommate Tennant's of mine on the verge of conviction. It was a long day, and we lost our case to the slum manager of an apartment we were staying at. He never showed up to court, but he lawyer did on his behalf. Mr. Wilson did not even put us on a proper lease. So, its really a long story, so we had to leave the premises near the end of the month. I really like how they handle business at this courthouse. Nice and clean courthouse. It does not have that 1970s look or smell like some other American court houses. I was just impressed.

So many people in and out of this place. Not a place I like to come to but I did with someone who got a ticket. Parking is $1 50 a hour!!! They even have change machines incase you Don't have enough quarters. Of course you never know what your in for when you get there so how much do you put in? You go see how much you owe they give you your options then if you don't like that they tell you to go down stairs to see the judge. There was a older man letting people in the court room everyone else sits in the hall. The judge don't want to hear any excuses just gives your options. Well the ticket was $198 ended up being $298 if you don't want points or go to traffic school. Years ago you just said you wanted to go fight the ticket and if the cop didn't show you got out of it. Now the judge tells you if you go to court and lose your ticket could be a lot higher. I guess what it boils down to is obey all signs or come to this place that no one likes! They get you for parking and the tickets! And wasted 1 hour and 20 min left on the meter because we didn't want another ticket! Lol

After careful review of the Revised Nevada Code of Judicial Conduct, I feel that Justice Sullivan violated several of the canons. I appeared in court on my court date, dressed in professional business attire, and demonstrated nothing but the utmost respect before this judge, but I was greeted with the complete opposite. Justice Sullivan greeted every defendant as they stepped up to the front during their turn, except me. I was the only one professionally dressed, but, this judge took one look at me and proceeded to be rude, for no reason at all. When the charges were read to me and I was asked to state a plea, I simply asked if stating guilty would affect my driving record. My case was due to a minor accident. Judge Sullivan snapped back at me with a snarky and sarcastic response, "I don't know! Do I look like the DMV to you?!" I simply wanted as many facts before pleading anything. Should I not be allowed to ask questions? And, shouldn't the judge be informed of details such as these? Judge Sullivan then told me that I would need to pay a 150 dollar fine, and then in another sarcastic tone, she said, "Oh don't worry, I'll give you plenty of time to pay." As if to imply I could not afford to pay. Was there something about my appearance that indicated I was unable to afford a 150 dollar fine? I almost took out two hundred dollars from my wallet then and there to throw in front of her, and tell her to keep the change, but I maintained my professionalism and composure. I am a respectful, educated citizen, and veteran, and to be shown such rudeness and disrespect was uncalled for. Speaking of being a veteran, when asked by Judge Sullivan if I am a veteran, I answered yes. She then asked what branch I served in, in which I responded with the Navy. Apparently, in her mind, she thought serving in the Navy was a joke. She scoffed at that and appeared to almost laugh. Her, being unaware that I served alongside the Marines and had deployed to Afghanistan in combat environments. So, for her to devalue my service when she knew nothing about it was incredibly disrespectful. I regret very much that I did not come forward with this complaint sooner, this experience has affected me deeply. My therapist told me I should start standing up to bullies, and Judge Sullivan is a bully. I filed a complaint with the court but it was dismissed and nothing was done. This Judge should be made aware of how unprofessional she is. I am a highly educated and law abiding citizen and her treatment of me goes to show how ignorant these individuals who are supposed to serve the community really are. So individuals who have to interact with Sullivan and others like her, BE WARE
