Had an amazing experience at this salon. My mom and I are from the states and have thick curly hair and desperately needed somewhere to get a wash and blow out. The water pressure is not the same as from home and would have taken a long time to do on our own. We went to the salon around 6 with fingers crossed that we would be able to get in before they closed at 7. The owners were kind enough to get the both of us in and stayed late to finish. They provided the best quality blow out for the both of us and were so helpful on recommendations for places to go in the area. Would recommend for everyone! read more

Ahhh Frederico! So many wonderful things to say! After leaving NYC for my trip to Rome in a rush, I had no time for a hair cut - my first in about four years. Found this salon while out walking on Saturday morning, noting they were open until 7pm. I found excellent Yelp reviews of the salon and Frederico's work. Combined with his English speaking, I was sold and ready to take the plunge! Went in person to make an appointment and was given one for later that same afternoon (as I hoped I could!). UPDATE: After I left this review the owner called me and accused me of trashing him online. I replied that I was only speaking to my experience, as I am entitled to do, and he is of course entitled to respond. That's why these sites exist. And then he messaged me on here on Yelp DMs with more accusations. This hostile behavior only cements my impression of unprofessionalism. (I don't work for another hair salon... lol.) And not giving the customer a receipt and insisting on cash payment is definitely a red flag. Surprised that this place receives good reviews. I have been living in Rome for 6 years and have been to a few salons, but wanted to try something new. This one had high reviews online and was also recommended by the TikToker Kacie Rose (whose recommendations are normally on point). To start, I arrived 15 min early but they were running an additional 20 minutes late so I took a small walk around the neighborhood - not a problem, I understand small businesses having busy days. But when I got back I had to wait another 25 minutes to be seen, another few minutes to get a hair wash, another chunk of time before the actual cut. This added up to an hour of waiting, easily. It seemed that other regular walk-in clients were getting serviced ahead of me, not the clients who were already there. The cut and blow dry took no more than 15 minutes, so it felt like the most important part was being rushed through. On top of all of this, the haircut was not great. The style was outdated (very accentuated side part, 80s face framing front pieces) and I walked out of the salon looking like I just woke up. Again, it felt rushed. At payment, he asked that I pay with cash & told me that I would be charged 10€ less if I could, but I didn't have enough on me, so he asked if I could take some out from a tourist ATM, not one connected to a bank. After waiting an hour for what was effectively a rush job, this felt like a big faux pas. Some flexibility for the customer would have been appreciated (even by Italian service standards). I also didn't receive a receipt - which is a huge red flag in Italy FYI. I think people like this place because it is English speaking, but I would seriously recommend trying your luck elsewhere. There are much better salons in Rome who care about their customers. read more

Not to mention he speaks English unlike all stylists- so you know he'll fully understand your beauty needs- So! Finally , he opened his own full service salon where you can get his full attention! It is an even better experience walking right into this place. He will transform not only your look but your entire mood- Today, I got a new hair do. A long bob (Lob)- waxed my lip and manicure which was great! (his estatician is amazing too, and I don't say that lightly being from NyC and living in Rome it is NoT easy to find a talented nail or wax girl- ) I ended up spending the day there because it rained so I grabbed a pizza and a soda and watched the rain on the Roman cobble stone with my fresh look! Thank god we have him all to ourselves now! he's the same location too just across from where he used to work! You must go! read more

I've had a haircut done by Federico last year when I was visiting Rome, he's a really talented stylist who will listen to your requests and do his best to deliver what you ask for. I like having long hair and usually stylists chop off a lot of it when doing a cut but he didn't and I walked out still having long hair with new layers which was exactly what I asked for.
