Being a cartoonist, I went there for many many things. Majorly for finished art to be printed. In the beginning, they had a wonderful rep named Bernard who KNEW his stuff. He cared about his job and the people he served. About 2 years ago, I started to see Bernard less and less and the implementation of DIY printers that you are told to use. These are cumbersome to say the least, seldom loaded with the type of paper I need and the new staff just doesn't want to help you. Especially their "pissy" manager. I needed something on a Saturday for a gift to be printed. The full service print shop I now go to was closed, so I went to Office Max to get it done. It was just as bad as I remembered the experience to be but even worse. Literally, there were 4 customers in the store, including my wife and I. 2 employees were at the print registers. One was finishing a customer and the other was at the register. I stood and waited for him to address me. After a minute he asked "can I help you". I said YES! I am so glad to see you up here, I hate those machines, I need a thicker paper and could you print this ONE picture for me. He said "No. I am swamped, I can print it tomorrow. And you can pick it up." I said it's one picture? He said you will have to use the machines over there. He was the manager. The other employee heard I was looking for a longer sheet and ran to see it was loaded. Which I thanked him for. These DIY machines make you pay at least $5 with a credit card to Office Depot and then you can print. There is a myriad of options. I have often walked away without what I came for. I don't like them. I don't work there. All the manager had to do is: put in my usb. select pdf. press print. Less than 60 seconds. Instead I was told to come back. To drive back home, then come back the next day and go back home. Gas is atrocious. But truly, it's a very common attitude in this day and age. And also why there were 3 customers in the store on a beautiful Saturday. And Christmas. And back to school. It's the people running the place that make the difference. Bring back Bernard!!! Pay him what he wants. I wanted to complain to the manager.... but you know the story. What a shame.

My story starts off with a simple need to drop off some packages. Unfortunately, I just had knee surgery and am currently on crutches. My girlfriend has a leg injury which requires her to wear a brace and not carry too much weight. So obviously, we needed help getting our packages out of her car, one being a very large, heavy box. We were fortunate that a friend put the package in her car for us beforehand, but we would not be able to get it out without help. Once we pull up next to the store, my girlfriend goes into the mostly empty store to ask one of the two employees working for help. Being stressed out from the daunting task of getting the packages into the store, my girlfriend thought it harmless to quickly ask if there was someone who could assist us as we couldn't physically get the boxes without help. Unfortunately, the employee at the desk was still helping a customer and - instead of asking the other associate to come out, explain the store policy, or to simply ask for a few moments to finish up - her only response was, "we have a dolly." So, of course, my girlfriend explains again that I'm on crutches and she has a leg injury. Once again, the same four-word response, "we have a dolly." Since there was clearly no other help coming from the UPS employee, my girlfriend then takes the dolly out to the car to take the box out herself with incredible difficulty. I even had to move a box into the store by hitting it with my crutches while trying to maneuver, after opening the door without any assistance. Finally, the other employee comes to prop the door open after I've done all that and no longer need her help. Regardless, I thanked her. Thankfully, a customer that came later was leaving and offered to help us, as it was obvious to everyone but the two UPS employees that we couldn't do this on our own. At this point, the initial employee had yet to move from behind the counter and the other employee had gone back to her post. With this kind customer's help, we managed to get the box on the dolly, then to the counter. At this point, some other customers started showing up and a different thoughtful person offered to help us get the boxes up. We were grateful as the employees behind the counter again acted like nothing was out of the ordinary and actually seemed to be impatient that we were slow in getting our package on the counter. After we finally managed to get both packages squared away, the employee was clearly annoyed at how long we took, even though we asked the customers behind us to go ahead as we would need extra time. She scanned our packages and snapped at my girlfriend when she asked to make sure the correct shipping label was attached to the right box. So, it is clear that the two UPS employees' time and effort are far more important than coming to the aid of two customers in need of help - or even communicating with us to explain their lack of action. Never in my life have I been treated with such indifference and rudeness, especially when all that was being asked was that we get some assistance with our very obvious physical limitations.

They were friendly and the turnaround was extremely fast. With great excitement, we picked up the work and took it home, preparing to hang it. Before we were able to get it on the wall, we discovered an error in one of the three pieces. This error was ours...entirely our mistake. But when we contacted Capital Imaging about reprinting that piece with the error fixed, they gave us a great break on the reprint, even though the reprint was to fix our error. Amazing! The piece looks great on our nursery wall. I absolutely recommend Capital Imaging for all your printing needs, great or small. It's fun being able to support a local business, their work is excellent, and they know how to do business well.

Corny joke alert…read more What did Snow White say to the broken printer? "Someday my prints will come." Fortunately for me, my prints did come! Still waiting on my Charming, but that's beside the point ;) I needed to print a shipping label and found their website allows you to upload anything you want to print. Perfect. I planned to send over my stuff ahead of time so I could do a pick up during my lunch break. A message box is provided for you to indicate any specific instructions for the staff to follow while making your prints. They sent a confirmation email when my label was printed only 10 minutes later or so after my upload and let me know it was ready for pick up. I walked over during my break and paid the 10 cents/copy rate. In and out in just mere minutes! There was no line and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming here in the future for any printing needs!
