Fedex is the height of incompetence. I shipped a package to a Walgreens (which Fedex lists on its website as an option to hold shipments for recipients). The employees at Walgreens rejected the package which was then rerouted to a Fedex ship center in a different county than the recipient (who is 84 and does not drive). After at least 7 different calls (and unfilled promises to either reroute the package to the recipient's home or return to me, I was called by someone who told me I need to create an account so that they can charge me to return my package to me (on top of the fee I was charged, for which my package was never delivered). This is completely Fedex's mistake. Deciding to just create the account so that the package can be returned, I went onto the website, where I was told that my address is not in their database, so I cannot create an account. I ask merchants to use USPS now since in all of the Bronx, there are only 3 FedEx offices where you can pick up packages once the drivers fail to deliver. I had ordered a baking dish from amazon because I am 60 years old with two hernias and need packages delivered to me. Instead, they attempted delivery only one time, never attempted again, never sent text updates even though I signed up for them, and even though I tried multiple times to request redelivery, they sent the package back to the seller. They did not need a signature. They just decided on his/her own to take the package with them and never ever try to deliver it again. These folks only do one thing. INFURIATING!! How on earth could multiple issues surround the simple delivery of one package within a three day span? FedEx driver claimed on two separate deliveries that no one was home, it was quite the contrary. All the driver had to do was ring the door bell and most importantly, read the already signed authorization posted on the front door to leave the package without signature...that did not happen. Numerous phone calls made to FedEx, plus as suggested by the 800# rep, include my contact number for the driver to ensure delivery. No phone call. No reattempt of delivery. No package. To gain entry to my building, the system sends notices to both house and cell phones; no phone notices from FedEx. I don't know how he got in the building. I don't understand how you can see a package is labeled to be delivered to an apartment complex, but you deliver it to a house instead. I go to the shipping center as i was told, and waited for 2 hrs to be told driver is running late and my package is not available. The folks working out of this shipping center are the worst. It's impossible to reach a person to levy a complaint. Today I was literally standing in my lobby talking to the mail woman AND a UPS driver (the latter just happened to arrive at the same time) -- when a supposed "attempt to deliver a package" notice arrived via text. The text alleged that I was unavailable all the while I was standing next to the open front door AND intercoms. Not only were they NEVER at my residence but this person also didn't leave a slip. This Fed Ex delivery person is a liar and shouldn't be working for the company. This also happened on Jan 10th of this year at approximately the same time (so possibly the same delivery person). Again, was home and they KNEW I was home b/c I rang the intercom for entry. What I didn't realize at the time was that the lazy Fed Ex driver wasn't coming up the stairs. After 5 minutes of waiting, I went downstairs all to discover they left a slip on the mailbox. I should have gotten door to door delivery but if he'd told me to come downstairs, I would have just gone to avoid the trouble. Not that this should have made a difference but the package was no more than a few lbs. On both deliveries, I paid an exorbitant fee for expedited shipping. This never happens with my local USPS or UPS deliveries. It's absolutely the worst FedEx store I have been to. Although the staff are trying hard to manage the people despite corona outbreak but they are under staffed and the line outside is ridiculous. I ordered something that was supposed to be delivered two days ago. I have been home for the past two days. Monday, Tuesday, and now Wednesday, I have received updated texts and gone through the fedex web site to understand what is going on: "attempted delivery; no one there"!!! There is no tag on my door, my bell did not ring, and there is no tag on the building entrance door either. I would like to know, where is the attempted delivery??? I agree with these reviews. Fed ex is the worst. The drivers lie about delivery attempts made and never attempted to deliver my package. I received all my other packages from the different delivery companies over the Christmas season, except for Fed ex. I believe that the driver responsible for delivering my packages is discriminating against me and refusing to deliver my packages. He never leaves a door tag but claims to have attempted a delivery stating "the entrance is inaccessible" which is false. I have a FedEx account with instructions for delivering my packages and I am signed up for text alerts; both are of no use because the drivers refuse to actually attempt a delivery. My residence has cameras so I can see whether or not the driver even approaches the residence. This is my fourth time filing a complaint to this local office and nothing has been rectified. I will be sending a letter to the corporate office in hopes of a resolution or some sort of reprimanding for the driver who continues to lie and should be fired at this point. They literally rang the buzzer and I ran downstairs with my 2 year old In My arms as my mom in law waited in the apt just in case we crossed paths without noticing. So I see the guy getting in the truck and I'm yelling at the top of my lungs and he got on and left. The rep...again...kept insisting that they didn't have my package and that White Plains had it. I felt like I was having de ja vu all over again with her. I was going back and forth with her about this and told her that the White Plains location told me that they didn't have it and that they said it was here. She walked away...and called the White Plains location as I stood on the side annoyed. Minutes later, she got off the phone....walked to the back....and came and walked quietly to me with my package! She didn't even say anything. No sorry. Nothing. Just gave my package and walked away. Go figure? I'd give a -10 if I could. I have been awaiting a package since Wednesday, when I was told it would arrive. It is now Friday night. I was told that they made 4-5 attempts by now. Interesting, considering not ONE attempt receipt sticker was left. At this point I have been on the phone with almost 10 Fed Ex employees, including "Gloria," who is allegedly the Mt. Vernon branch manager. When asked for a direct #, I was told to call the toll free line again. Way to shirk responsibility. Fed-Ex made me angry, but the service was very helpful. I missed a package delivered to my house, and since I had an appointment in Westchester the next day, I figured I'd just saunter over to Mount Vernon and pick it up. WRONG. They put it back on the truck. The nice man at the counter told me that there was a chance I could get back to my house in time to catch the truck, but I missed it by 15 minutes thanks to public transportation, and saw him pulling away from my house. :/ It was taken back to the facility and I was fortunate enough to have a friend who also missed a package drive me to Mount Vernon... but this place seriously needs to relocate. They didn't ring the bell they just left it and walked away. A neighbor saw it and she didn't know it was mine she even felt it wasn't right so she looked to see the apartment and brought it up. They've stolen two of my packages in less than one week claim To have delivered it but never did FedEx tracking claims they delivered my first order from Nike on Tuesday 08/18/2020 at 4:31pm. I work fro home and in order to gain access to my building you must ring my phone number last four digits to enter. FedEx never did. I called and registered a complaint and was told I would be contacted by FedEx regarding the investigation into the missing package. I waited almost twenty four hours FedEx NEVER CALLED. I finally reached FedEx on Thursday August 20th and was told FedEx would be calling the retailer Nike to make arraignments regarding my order. I called the retailer on Friday August 21 to follow up and they promptly sent another pair of replacement sneakers. I specifically asked the customer service agent NOT TO USE FEDEX as the carrier. Hey n Saturday August 22nd I received an email From Nike that my replacement was in its way to my home using FEDEX. I was upset and called Nike who told me it was too late to change the carrier. I activated my notification through my FedEx account and another tracking app named SHOP in order to keep track of this order. It was scheduled for Monday August 24th. At approximately 1:36pm Monday August 24th I received a notification via SHOP that FedEx delivered my packages in front of my apartment door. I opened my door immediately there was no package. I immediately ran out to the lobby of my building one floor away there were no packages in the lobby. I ran out of the building there was no FedEx truck within my residential area. My daughter who also works from home went from floor to floor looking for this package with no results. All of this taking place within minutes of FedEx claim they had delivered the package. I called FedEx immediately since this was the second time in less than a Week they had lied about delivering my package. I was placed on long holds after speaking to customer service agent who refused to give me his name. He further told me he couldn't give me the name of the person investigating my now second case in less than a week. I contacted the retailer Nike as well who are now escalating this investigation due to it he circumstances I've described above. read more

Shame I can't give zero stars. Their driver only does residential deliveries in my neighborhood during standard work hours, so I'm never home to receive deliveries except on some Fridays. When I called to request my doorbell be rung on a Friday I would be home to accept my delivery, a notice was left but my bell was never rung. Their customer service team's solution? I pay a fee to schedule a delivery at a time that is convenient for me. BULL. I refuse to pay a fee for a service I shouldn't need because the driver is too stupid to ring a bell. The doorbells are CLEARLY labeled right next to the door, so only the world's stupidest person would miss this.
