I didn't even get to use the product, and upon getting dicked around by FOUR different employees and finally having to call up there and find the owner myself, I was told by the owner that he would not help me and break their policy. Again, I understand policy...but be a fucking human being and make things right and not leave your customers with the bill when something they bought from your store immediately breaks and they can't even use it ONCE! They will tell you all day long that they "inspect" the pieces thoroughly, but that's bullshit because mine literally had a hole in the glass seams, and a large part of it literally broke off after barely touching it. Their policy is their policy, but it shouldn't be at the expense of the customer when there are plently of stores that would make an exception for such a shitty situation.

Their variety of hard to get brands had me doubting authenticity, but I assume they must have some pull. I have NEVER seen a selection of OPUS X like they have here, as well as other limited run cigars. I bought more than I should have, but seemed like this was the opportunity to load up for the holidays. Sales tax is pretty low in KY, so soften the blow on what are generally overpriced cigars across the board. Most sticks were selling for 10%-15% OVER MSRP. If you buy 10 or more, then you get a 10% discount. So end the day I overpaid for one box by 10%, but ended up breaking even if I bought back home with the higher tax. Benefit is I got a full box of Foundation Cigars, while most of my local and online trusted retailers were out. I would have also pulled the trigger on the Cohiba Wellers, but they were too pricey here. Overall worth a visit if you have some extra $ to drop on hard to find cigars.

The employee came right up near me, and hung it back up. I apologized despite not being sure I had done it. They said nothing back me, just gave me a dirty look. At that point I put back the shirt I was planning to pay cash for, and walked away. I glanced over my shoulder and they had already snatched up the shirt and moved it back to what I guess was a better spot. I just smiled as the person glared. The owner, Priska, is the heartbeat of this wonderful vintage/antique store. Priska is so friendly and knowledgeable. What an impressive selection of items! I've been to many antique shops, but the Victorian Parlor has more variety and "good stuff" than anywhere I've ever been in the U. S. One could get lost for hours in this store. It's a glorious trip back in time! The Victorian Parlor is located in lovely quaint downtown Paducah. The store was once a Western Union office. The flooring and walls bear evidence of this! I would happily return to Paducah and The Victorian Parlor anytime. And hope I get a chance to do that soon! You should go!

This antique mall is set-up very nicely (don't forget to go upstairs!) and I found it much easier to walk through than some of the other antique stores we've visited this week. The vendors in this mall seem to maintain their booth spaces on a more regular basis, which is nice. My S.O. always had his eye on vintage cameras and there were a lot of them here. Karen (who's a doll, by the way) was the only employee working at the time and was pretty busy wheeling and dealing for the customers. Apparently you can make offers on items here as well and staff can call the seller(s) for you. I left with a NWT (new with tags) fanny pack for my cousin (she collects them) for less than $4 and a couple of plants from a cute booth that someone had. Had this seller offered more plants, I probably would have bought her out. We were in here for about an hour and spent around $12. Masks are required and there's a big bottle of hand sanitizer available when you walk it. By far our favorite antique store on Broadway in downtown Paducah. Recommend.
