The most unprofessional experience I have had in a long time. After years of calls, emails, and friendly exchanges...never missed a payment, and a representative called to yell at me while I am scrambling to find insurance for me and my two teenage children. All it would have taken was a call (which they claim in their files they did, but mysteriously, that employee is no longer working for them). Nobody ever called me. I cannot find any letter from them. Maybe the postman lost it? In any event, after 21 years of loyalty, this is how my kids and I were treated.

ive had auto insurance with farmers for 3 years ... they slowly raised my rates hoping i wouldnt…read morenotice - when i got suspicous i ran a quote for myself by changing my first name .... the quote was way cheaper than my bill ... so i went elsewhere and found the same coverage for 100-ish dollars cheaper with a better company. what im telling you is called "price optimization" - look it up on google - you will find that farmers is one of the worst in the country for raising your rates hoping you wont notice and pay an exorbitant rate. i believe i had been paying too high a rate for about a year [all fault is my own for not checking] --- this is only half the story .... in the 3 years i have had need of questions and even some claim service - and funny ive never been able to get a hold of this david hager insurance guy - well the 800 number was able to help, so both times i thought nothing of it ... well when you cancel the insurance you HAVE to do it with the agent - the 800 number cannot do that [so they say ] so i tried for 3 weeks with various ways to get a hold of the guy with no luck .... only after the company wanted my money did they finally contact me asking why i hadnt paid up .... my advice - avoid farmers and this agent like the plague
