AVOID FELDMAN'S AT ALL COSTS! On 9-29-2023, I came across a truck on the FB marketplace that I liked. It had a great write-up with a list of its features, stating that "This truck needs nothing" and a good price. I looked at and test drove the truck after work. Zach, the young salesman, was pleasant enough but had a typically cocky and condescending air about him. When I expressed my reluctance to buy from a used car dealer, he began extolling the fact that "They are completely above board," assuring me that "They dont operate that way," which is usually an indicator that that is exactly how they operate. Despite a few minor concerns and Zach's evasive justifications of a few questions, we negotiated the price, and I paid cash for the truck then drove it to Nashville, TN, that evening. A 500-mile, round trip test drive. I was pleased with the truck overall, but discovered several issues, mostly minor and to be expected on a 14 year old vehicle with "152K" miles on it, but the remote start not working, no rear view/back up camera, as stated in the ad, and a 4 MPH difference in highway mileage were issues I planned on discussing with Feldman's the following Monday. When I showed up at their office on my work break, Zach was on the phone, and I spoke to the old man, whom I presumed was the owner. Zach, overhearing our conversation, quickly ended his call and interjected his immediately defensive and patronizing denial of any responsibility or wrongdoing, which is exactly what I expected. Our slightly heated conversation ended in me leaving the vehicle for them to look at, but I was told that they would not be wasting any more than a minimum amount of time to resolve the issues. I didn't expect much and got even less when I picked it up that afternoon. I left after telling Zach, in no uncertain terms, that I would be ripping them a new 4th point of contact every chance I could. He smarted off about me "Running my mouth," like the little kid that he is, before dismissively wishing me a good day. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FELDMAN'S AUTO CENTER, unless you have a very good proctologist. There is a special place in Hell for lawyers, politicians, and used car salesmen. The only reason they get 1 Star is because it's required in order to write a review. I got an alignment from these guys and my steering wheel came out even worse than it was when I took the vehicle in. I called to complain and they hung up on me! Wow! How unprofessional. Seriously. The guy hung up on me. They called back 5 mins later and proceeded to tell me they can't work me back in the schedule to check it for 5 days. There are also new indicator/check engine lights that came on since I picked it up. These could be coincidence and completely unrelated. It would have been nice for them to say something like, "Sorry to hear the alignment is still off. We'll make it right bring it in and we'll work you in considering you already paid us for the work. As far as the lights go we'll look at them but it may require some additional work you'll have to pay for". Instead I got hung up on and told pretty much go somewhere else. Frustrating for sure. 5 shop visits and 900$ later over a small evap system leak and I still have the same code on my vehicle and my car still shuts off. I've given this place multiple chances, but I would not send my worst enemy to this shop. They will take advantage of anyone who is young. They say they have a warranty on their work, but they don't. I took my car into feldmans with a P0456 code and told them my car breaks down randomly. I paid 50$ for a diagnostic. The owner had the nerve to tell me that a diagnostic only tests part of your car. And not the whole car. What a joke. Then I was told by a mechanic that they ran my car hot to see if my temperature gage worked while they had my car in for the fuel pump replacement. I get my car back it breaks down on me, on the side of the highway, and guess what my car overheated. That was the first time ever since I've owned that car. I take it back to feldmans and they charge me 300$ for two thermostats. I didn't have the whole 300$ so they did a payment plan. I get my car back again and once again I'm on the side of the road, broke down. I go back a third time and they tell me it's the acceleration pedal sensor at this point I'm very upset and I deny the work. I go to pick my car up and the owner tells me I'm not getting my car back until he gets his money. I told him I did not have the money as of right now and he said to me that I was arguing with him because I'm broke and I'm a liar. Then he goes on to tell me that I owe him 30$ in gas and a bunch of other money after a payment plan was already signed into place. Therefore he was trying to add money to a payment plan/bill that had already been settled a month before. He told me I wasn't getting my car back until he got his money I owed him. So I went and got the money from my family and got my car back. DO NOT GO HERE. The owner is VERY GREEDY, very unprofessional and rude. The owner will add things to your bill even if you already signed it and settled it. And another thing every part they replaced I was not made aware of them putting anything on my car until after they did all of the work. Then they told me what I owed them. They did not give me a chance to accept or deny any work they did. They just did it and made me pay them. I'm 900$ Out of money and my car still has the same code and same issue since day one plus more issues. My car sat up there on my 3rd visit for 3 days and they told me on day 3 when I had to call them and ask what was going on, that they didn't do anything to my car that my car was fine. I left and the vehicle broke down again. I have never in my life been disrespected like the way that owner talked to me. He is horrible. I don't see how this company is still running. Eventually you can only burn so many bridges and you won't have any customers left. I tried to give you so many chances and you just kept doing me wrong over and over again. It's sad. I'm in college with a part time job at a nursing home. I am barely making it, and you were mad about me not paying 30$ for the gas that YOU used driving to rushville in back, in my car and never once asked me if that was okay. I'm out 900$ I think your 30$ should be ok. And another thing the owner tried to blame it on me saying that I never put gas in my car because supposedly I'm "poor". His words. My car broke down with a full tank of gas right after I got it back from your shop. So I think your not being honest, once again. Smh. Pitiful. To the dealership I go, and never back to feldmans. I wish I could give you a negative star. Absolutely pathetic. Oh and btw you can buy the part cheaper and fix it yourself for a whole lot less. They overcharge for their parts and labor. I've had my SUV in to them twice. The first time my brake booster went out and thankfully was covered under warranty. They were able to get me in the next day compared to everyone else that didnt have openings for at least two weeks. Quick, and very efficient! Second time I had hit a deer. Again got me in quickly, went over the repairs and cost. Did great work, even out my door trim back on that wasn't part of the accident and also cleaned inside for me! my only complaint was that I wasn't expecting the $371 balance that was not Told before hand that I was going to have When discussing repairs and pmts. And I joined the car club and in which neither the oil change or brake service discounts were applied to my balance. That was kind of disappointing Especially with the over $6000 in business that I had just done with them within both visits. Other than that, they were very friendly, and efficient! read more
