Decided to treat myself to boudoir photos to start this decade on the right foot and to celebrate and appreciate my body for all that it has seen me through. Found Femme Photography on Yelp (thanks to those who wrote reviews before me). I filled out her online form with what I was looking for and probably a bucket ton of questions. Lili replied very quickly; she was professional, compassionate, and detailed. Every question that I asked was addressed. She was able to take my obscure vision (more like Rita Haywood... less girl next door) and make it a reality. She has a wonderful selection of lingerie to choose from (and individuals are welcome to bring their own). I had a moment of insidious negative self-talk (believing that nothing fit appropriately) while I was trying things on. I can't say enough about Lili at Femme Photography. I wanted to do a boudoir shoot for a couple years now and finally decided to do it for my birthday. After doing some research I found Lili's site. The photos were great and so were the prices. So I decided to book with her. Even from the consulting I could tell she was as enthusiastic about shooting as I was, really nice and personable too. She loved that I was doing this shoot for myself! She welcomed me and my best friend, who I brought for moral support into her home and provided snacks and wine. We all got along great! I wanted to get boudoir photos for my fiancé as a wedding gift. I went to a bridal show and won a session with a boudoir company, but when I looked into the company when I was considering scheduling with them, I decided not to go ahead with that company. The company is headquartered in one city on the west coast and then rents out hotel rooms to do the shoots in other cities across the country. To each is own, but I wasn't really comfortable with that idea. Also, you had to arrive at the session with hair and makeup already done. Not a deal breaker, but just not the best arrangement for my personality. But I still thought this would make an excellent wedding gift. I also really wanted to do this for me too. I did some research online and Yelp for boudoir photography in my area (I live in Tyson's Corner, VA) and came across Lili. Her prices seemed fair and I liked that makeup is included and hair is also offered (even though it is an extra charge, I didn't need to coordinate with an outside appointment). Also, I didn't need to go to some hotel, but she actually has a studio, a single home base, where she does her shoots. So I reached out to her to schedule. We had an initial phone consultation where I got to ask questions and talk with her a bit, which helped to settle my nerves and made me even more excited for my upcoming shoot. When I arrived for my session, she offered me snacks and something to drink and we chatted for a bit then she showed me the four sets. After that we started makeup (I chose to bring a lip color with me and she asked me to bring a foundation, but she supplied everything else.) Mid-way through, her hair stylist arrived, so we stopped makeup for hair and then finished makeup after the hair. The whole time we were doing hair and makeup, we just chatted like girlfriends hanging out. The great thing about Lili is that her demeanor is really friendly and personable and it's like she helped me feel more at ease just by her mannerism. She also has a cat and some dogs. The dogs were looked away for the shoot (I met one when I went back for my reveal to view my photos). She let her cat hang out with us, super friendly cat and helped to lighten things during the shoot. The photo shoot was very relaxed in pace and Lili directed every pose. At no time did I feel rushed...I felt totally comfortable the whole time. At the end of the session, I got back into my street clothes and we set a date for the reveal, when I got to review my photos and select any extras (additional photos, album, etc...). I returned for my reveal and WOW!! I almost couldn't believe that was me. This was my first time doing boudoir and I don't typically wear makeup. Lili did a great job with my makeup and a great job directing my posing for the photos and a great job with the photography. I would 100% recommend Lili to any woman interested in doing boudoir photos. She knows her craft and knows how to make you look great on camera! I can't wait to gift my photos to my fiancé. More than that, doing the photo session was a lot of fun and seeing myself in my photos showed me how beautiful (and sexy) I really am. read more

I did a the femme fatale full shabang shoot on 11 November and it was AMAZING! I HIGHLY recommend Lily. The pictures are taken in her home which makes it so much more relaxing, and she has so many beautifully decorated rooms from which to choose. She also had so many great pieces of lingerie in her closet. She did my makeup and I've never had someone do it so well! I was looking to do something out of the box for Valentine's this year for my boyfriend when I found Lili. Today I had my photo shoot with her and she is extremely sweet and patient. Her studio was beautiful and I was in love with the flower wall. She was showing me shots on her camera and they look beautiful without retouching I can't wait to see the full product. When I got there she had snacks laid out for me and was asking some regular everyday questions not really about the shoot (I guess so I let my guard down).
