    Missing gate.

    I tried to refrain myself from posting a bad review for the past six months, but I want potential buyers to know what they are in for if they do business with fence direct. I originally signed my contract on March 31 of 2021. We ordered a white aluminum fence and was told that it was a special order so it would take approximately eight weeks to be installed. I certainly understand the hardships that the global supply chain is facing right now so I figured that that timeline was reasonable. Well, May turned into June and June turned into July. I was never contacted by fence direct with an update, I always had to reach out to them and every time I received the same response... We still don't have the materials and we're working on it. I never received alternative solutions or a definite install date. Finally in August, I threaten to cancel and miraculously I was told that an installer would be at my house within 48 hours to put in the fence. Great! Or so I thought... The installers missed two appointments. Unfortunately I work full-time and I don't have the luxury of waiting around all day for somebody who's not gonna show up. They finally arrived at the third scheduled appointment but low and behold, they had the wrong material! 5 months of waiting and they show up with the wrong material! They came with black aluminum instead of white aluminum.... do you know what they told me? That they could paint it! You cannot paint aluminum. Aluminum needs to be sandblasted and powder coated. If you paint it, the paint will simply just chip off. I was then told by the installers that they do not have the white aluminum in stock that I ordered back in March. Once again, I was not given any other solutions. My husband and I went onto their website and saw that they had a similar style in vinyl. Wonderful! Why didn't anybody explain this to us before? It really boggles my mind how terrible their customer service is once you sign the contract. They finally installed the fence the second week of September. However, the craftsmanship on the gate slats was shoddy and I was not happy with the execution. It looked very rough and unfinished. I contacted customer service and they sent somebody out yesterday, October 22, 2021. The gentleman told me that he was going to take the gate to fix it and he'll be right back. He took the gate and never returned! I've now been without a gate for over 24 hours and my dog is not able to use the yard being that he will run away. Just when I thought this fiasco was done, I feel like I'm right back at square one. I've been trying to contact the for the past 24 hours with no response. It's crazy tI feel like I'm in the twilight zone with this company... I really don't forsee them staying in business much longer if their customer service doesn't improve!

    My landlord placed an order for a new vinyl fence on 11/17 (or around then) after hurricane Irma took down several pannels of our old wooden fence. We just needed to replace the whole thing, so thank you Irma. On 12/17, the survey team came out to mark the gas/electric pipes, but then they came again in 1/18. There was a delay caused by the shortage of fence pannels because everyone in Florida had their fences destroyed by the storm, so our order for the new fence had to be processed again. Then, finally on 2/18, Fence Direct called to schedule the work. On the scheduled day, the workers came, took down the old fence, hit a gas pipe (unmarked by the survey team), so they called TECO who sent a team immediately. My house looked like a scene from Steven Spielberg's ET. When the TECO crew finished, the workers resumed the job and very late in the night, I had a newly installed white vinyl fence. Hooray! It's been 2 months, the fence is still standing good, the door is working, nothing is tilted or fallen, and we've had some strong winds in those two months. No complains on my part. One more thing, I am happy of the measures the workers took when the pipe was punctured. Most people would try to cover the broken pipe, but they took the appropriate measures to ensure everyone's safety. That is a valuable attribute, if I may add. Would I recommend them? YES.

    We had a good experience with the company. They are responsive to concerns and provide updates from the first visit to installation. They took care of all permits and the HOA. My fence came out great, it follows the landscape while it also looks straight. My gate is very smooth and up to code. I highly recommend Abel as a sales person.

    I love my new fence! I had to wait 2 months, but it was definitely worth it! Our salesperson, Bradley, came home and told me it would take longer due to the materials during the Pandemic, but he was very kind. Nayeli, works in the office and always had a "smile in her voice" and kept me up to date on the status. Once Gerardo and Jorge Luis arrived to raise the fence, these people really knew what they were doing! They were great, very knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend Fence Direct, I quoted 3 companies and this company gave the best price, service and cordiality. The wait is worth it!

    Great quality and reasonable pricing couldn't be happier, my kids love having the yard fenced in and the dog doesn't hate it either.
