Fence Nerds did a really good job, but corrections needed to be made. Overall, I am very satisfied and would hire them again, but communication broke down after completion. Ultimately, the pickets, which had been buried, were cut level w/ the driveway which is what I originally wanted. Owner was on site during some of the installation. My biggest complaint is that when the job was done, it was pitch dark out and I could not see the problems until the next day. There was mud everywhere. In good faith I paid my balance immediately as owner requested. He should have allowed me a day to inspect before paying him. And I should have demanded that. Price was reasonable. Absolutely amazing company. I got multiple quotes from multiple different companies. I was looking to save a few hundred but I saved over $3,000! Their quote was transparent in regards to material cost and labor. From the time I got my quote from them to fence installation, all within the same week. I imagine this may fluctuate based on what season but honestly it was a great experience. They took the time to more than quadruple check the property line for me when I had concerns. Their crew was professional and they picked up the garbage before leaving. Because of their amazing prices, I was able to afford my dream white vinyl fence instead of having to settle for wood. Avoid this company if you are a HOA, a large company that has a management company or pay by checks. Eric, the owner seem very knowledgeable and pleasant during the estimate process, and I thought we could build a partnership. However, that changed! I am a president of a HOA and it took awhile to process the down payment. I had to continually contact them for an install date, they never once contacted me regarding any updates of issues or for an install date. When I contacted them I was provided with multiple excuses, being fully booked up, heavy rains, hurricanes and office relocation complications, and their office phone number change over a 5 month period. Now, we understand things come up but they never made any contact to update me and it was one thing after another. When I finally received an install date, it was postponed a couple days without any notification to me. They also contacted me just before install to question me about how our down payment was made and when. This tells me that their office is not in order. Then, as soon as the job was complete, I received an email payment notification every business day and a couple of phone calls for final payment. Now it took several days to pay due to mgmt. company on vacation and how they process invoices. The customer service that we were provided was HORRIBLE but they are very insistent on final payment. Our HOA will NEVER use this company again, nor will I personally. Several homeowners in our community feel the same. read more
