After a painstaking 3 months of dealing with 2 estimators, an aggressive push to get me to pay $550 for a property survey, even though I provided one, because the first estimator Marc couldn't find all the property pins, no communication after sending my HOA approval, and having to sign additional forgotten permit paperwork a month later after already signing for the permit, my fence was installed on 6/9/26. My lawn is currently littered with large rocks and sand, as well as extensive permanent scratch damage to the majority of the fence posts and 3 gates. I would never use them. I damaged my neighbors fence about 8 feet. No damage to the post. Just the top bar. The chain links dont even look bad. I told my neighbor i woukd pay for it. My neighbor sent me the estimate and they Charged 1000 dollars and some change. No itemization at all. So naturally I called and ask . The explanation they gave was that they charge minimum fee and with material that would be 1000 dollars and some change. I asked for itemization they said they could not provide me the information cuase of privacy? Privacy of what? They provided me with a estimate that included the price, owner phone number, owner name, owner address, but what your actually charging me is confidential? They claim they are protecting confidentiality but that doesn't make sensewith the amount of information they gave. Lesson learned, I didnt get an estimate myself cuase I'm new to the state. But I definitely know who not to call or recommend. Update: They came and all they did was change the top bar. They was there no more that 15 mins and charged 1038 dollars. I do not recommend this company to anybody. My yard was left full of dirt and tons of rocks everywhere. It was a brand new lawn that had just been put in a couple of months ago. I have had to reseed and fertilize my lawn and it still is not quite right. I also kept finding metal pieces throughout my lawn that my dogs were getting in their mouth and almost got stuck in their throat. My final straw was my gate does not open. It's really hard for me to push it open and almost impossible for me to close after. I have called and left a text message no response. Once they get their money, they could care less. Two great people who go me what i wanted/needed and the rest was history; "Butch" Peel and Amanda Goudreau; I searched around for the "exact" same fencing project from about 15 people in the area; I had one quota slightly lower than the one for Fence Outlet initially but I really liked the Fence Outlet team. I sent one last email to see if they would meet/beat the lowest out of 15 prices i had and they cut under the lowest one by several bucks and landed a cash deal for my fence at home. Some of the other companies were double (one TRIPLE) the amount for the exact same thing!!!!!! I was told the job was about 3 weeks out, got back from a 4 day vacation and was called that it would be installed in 2 days! Thats impressive! Disappointed with their quality control. Yesterday I had 34 board on board panels delivered. They were strapped in two bundles and looked fine with the 2x4 cross braces that were the main reason I ordered from them, but the faces of the panels were not visible until breaking the bundles apart after the delivery. Over 90% of the picket nails were not set. Most about 1/16" to 1/8" away from the picket. Each panel has a few that are at least 1/2" from being set. My advice would be to inspect before purchasing. I suspect this problem is due to a lack of attention to the nailing machine. read more

Our fence is now eight (8) months old and rust is all over. Contacted the company: "Good morning, The service technician was at your property yesterday morning and took pictures. It was determined that we will come back to sand down and repaint the affected areas. This may happen again due to the property's close proximity to the water. The GM will contact you to discuss further and schedule" Our house did not move and at no time were we told this was not the best material for this area. The chain link fence down the street does not have this issue. So their answer is the fence will continue to deteriorate and they used inferior materials for this area. Had a new fence put in 6 months ago ! Then the hurricane hit and knocked this whole fence out. Guy came and said it would be $7000 to repair ! What ? Terrible cheap product used for this fence. Definitely going with another company! They are terrible. Complete waste of money. We understand hurricanes and acts of God, and the full details of the warranty, we get it. However, we have a lot of the fence left over, almost all the wickets, paid over 9k less than 7 months ago, now being asked for another 7,500? It's absurd. We saved for YEARS to get our dream house and fence, we're still paying off the original install. To not offer any considerations because of the hurricane or that the fence is less than a year old seems a bit criminal. We can't afford this. It's a shame. We're not looking for a hand out, just to be treated fairly. We've been hearing from a lot of folks whom lost their fence in North Port that they are being taken advantage of. Had a new fence and gate installed 6/2023. I noticed the gate was sagging inward onto itself and called to question it. I was told that was normal. Fast forward to hurricane Milton. The section of the gate post that was screwed to the house through the plastic with 2, 3inch screws failed. The plastic broke. I expected to see something more substantial than using the plastic to screw the post onto the house with. Mabye a metal sleeve or 4x4 wooden post with counter sunk lag bolts. When I called and explained what happened I was told 2 small screws through plastic is the normal installation practice. I asked how much it would cost to fix. It was a minimum of $450. I said I would do it myself and hung up. Do not expect gate posts screwed into your house to hold up period. read more

We were fortunate the hurricane did not demolish our 6' PVC fence that Fence Outlet installed 4 years ago. However several sections were leaning left and right and the top was uneven. When the salesperson came out to quote the repair he said they would have to TAKEDOWN and reinstall 119 feet of the fence. We did not balk at the $1,841 quote knowing how hard the installers worked and how much time the job took when they initially installed the fence. We paid them $920 and the balance of $921 was to be paid when the job was complete. HOWEVER..... the workers DID NOT take down the existing fence nor did they reinstall it! Two non English speaking workers simply poured concrete around the posts and leveled the fence. It's obvious the sales person did not know what needed to be done to repair the fence and misquoted the repair....or was it an attempt to gouge customers after the hurricane? Total job time: 3 hours and twenty minutes from the time the two workers arrived at the property till the time the job was completed! Total materials: 20 - 22 bags of concrete. No new fencing needed! We have sent emails to the billing department which in turn were sent to a supervisor explaining what took place and our dissatisfaction over the quote. Their response was "you signed a contract" We've continued to receive invoices and they have threatened to place a lien on the property. Today I went online to obtain their registered agent's name and address in preparation for filing a small claims lawsuit against them for the balance they are attempting to collect. read more

Love my $2,500 fence, but the hinge on the gate broke and Fence Outlet wants to charge me $450 for a crew to come out an "look" at it. They told me that they do not have a "repair" department and I should hire a handyman to see if he can fix it. The problem is, you cannot find the gate hinge replacement part. Worst quality of work & overpriced. Didn't put any support in the fence posts. I understand we went through a hurricane but after watching how fence was put together with no support in the middle posts. Only thing holding everything together was a 1 inch sheet metal screw at each end. no wonder why the entire fence blew apart. Would not recommend this company or having vinyl fencing installed! My gate is falling apart 2-3 weeks after install ,I ask how long to schedule, I get we don't have a service giys to fix issues so again have to schedule, I ask so if gate falls off what should I do ,Jay say put it aside till we can schedule someone to rehang it ..... What about my dogs ? so they can't go in yard cause u can't get out here to fix something u just installed???? Received several estimates for privacy fence & everyone was 12-16 weeks out for installation because it takes so long to get the product. Fence Outlet makes their own vinyl so there is no middleman. They said it would take a month for installation. It actually took about a week from the date the salesman was at our house to the day the fence went up. First off, I tried resolving this with them, but I got NO Reply from Customer Service. We had a dog run fence installed by "Fence Outlet" a while back. We weren't here full time so we didn't use the sprinkler system until last week. Turned it on and had a geyser of water at a post. I dug it up only to find the pics you see. I actually repiped around the damage myself since I already had it dug up. After repairing it, turned system on and another geyser at next post, assuming since they are in a straight line, they are all that way. Just to say that I am truly disappointed in the service from Fence Outlet would be an understatement. With the original order the wrong gate hardware and wrong rail mounts. We waited 2+ weeks for the wrong partsfor 14 ft of fence and gate. A trip to Fence outlet to get the right parts and you did not have them. The right gate hardware for a 5x3 gate post and rail mounts. We ended up searching for the right mounts with none to be found and ended up drilling the existing hinges additional holes to make it work. Then to use 2 x 3 1/2 rail mounts were it should have been 5 1/2 inch rail mounts. This turned a relative easy project of 14 feet of gate /fence to a all day protect from hell. I would think that you carry normal use items. But not the case. My First experience with Fence Outlet and it will be my last. I was looking for a refund of the parts I did not use. But its not worth my time to drive out there again. I will write it off as a bad experience and review it as such online. read more

This 5 star review is for Heather, Kenny and crew, and their product. Heather was the only person to respond to our requests for information and was able to schedule our repair/install. I was always very grateful to her for ANY news on our install. Kenny and his crew were knowledgeable and efficient. I had concerns about certain aspects of our particular install and they let me know that they had listened and took care to alleviate those concerns. They also did not trample my bushes that certainly must have been in their way, and picked up all screws, pieces of plastic, etc. that were in the grass. I love the way my white fence looks. I think there is a 1 year warranty and in the past, Fence Outlet always came out quickly to make any adjustments necessary. My only advice for future customers is to get the promised install date (or other promises) written down on the contract by Butch Peel before you sign the contract. read more

My husband and I wanted to put a new vinyl fence in our back yard, so we stopped and spoke with Fence Outlet in North Port, FL. Our neighbors wanted the same fence as the one we selected. Fence Outlet in North Port, Fl., sent out an estimator for both of our homes. We agreed to have the installation ( that was over $3,000.00). We were given the date of January 31, 2018 for this installation. On that date, no one arrived so I called the office. I spoke with the General Manager. He argued with me that the date was Feb. 5, 2018. No one told us that and we had made previous plans which all had to be changed because Fence Outlet North Port, Fl., did not feel the need or the responsibility to call to let us know. I felt the General Manage was rude as well as inconsiderate. Then they wanted us to CALL and pay our invoice over the phone! No, I sent them a check in the mail. They can wait like we had to. We did receive a $25.00 referral check in the mail because of our neighbors. They do that for every referral, so I hear. WHOOP WHOOP!!! Will most assuredly go elsewhere next time.
