BEWARE OF FOX DOORS…read more I had an extremely disappointing experience with Fox Doors and would strongly caution anyone considering using this company. I purchased FIVE commercial garage doors from Fox Doors for approximately $34,000 cash based on representations made by Daniel Vorobiov and Eddie (Eduard) Vorobiov. Their written quotation specifically stated: * R20 fully insulated Canadian-made doors * All new tracks, springs, and hardware * LiftMaster commercial-grade operators * 10 YEAR WARRANTY on all panels One of the conditions of the sale was that they would arrange installation after I paid cash upfront. After the doors were delivered, I was then told they could not provide an installer for approximately two months, forcing me to find and pay another installer myself just to complete the project. After installation, Fox Doors later claimed the doors required "fine tuning." They charged me an additional $2,000 to send one of their own technicians to adjust the doors. During that visit, their technician broke a torsion spring and another operator was left malfunctioning afterward. I have photo and video documentation regarding the condition of the doors and equipment. When I contacted Daniel and Eddie regarding the damage caused during their service visit, I was told I would need to pay for a replacement spring myself, even though their technician broke it. After multiple attempts to resolve the matter professionally, I was eventually told I had no warranty coverage despite the written quotation referencing warranty coverage and new spring/hardware systems. In my experience, the communication, accountability, and customer service were extremely poor. The agreement and expectations changed significantly after payment was made, and I was left with damaged equipment, additional costs, and unresolved problems. Buyer beware. Make sure every promise, installation commitment, service obligation, and warranty term is clearly documented in writing before making payment

Throughout the construction process, Wendy frequently changed the contractors assigned to the project--ultimately involving four to five different teams. I was present on-site regularly and personally observed these changes. The subcontractors engaged by JP Lucky often delivered substandard work. Once deficiencies were identified, JP Lucky would dismiss the existing team and hire new subcontractors to continue. Although I fulfilled my obligations under the contract, JP Lucky failed to complete the project on time, and the work completed was defective. Due to these issues, I submitted a claim for adjudication through the Ontario Dispute Adjudication for Construction Contracts (ODACC), Case No. XXXX. On December 18, 2024, ODACC issued its Determination, providing copies to both the Respondent and me. The Determination ordered the Respondent to reimburse me $XXX,XXX (including HST) and $X,XXX (including HST), representing 50% of the adjudication fee. Despite my repeated demands, JP Lucky has failed to comply with the Determination or remit the required payment. While Wendy and JP Lucky initially present themselves as amicable and reliable, their conduct reveals a failure to act in good faith. Despite receiving payment for services, they have refused to return funds for work that was either unfinished or materially deficient, thereby disregarding the interests of their clients.

Their wages aren't competitive and they do not value their labourers. They promise a wage, but then they do not ensure that at least a minimum will be paid to their employees. Example : worker is promised X wage. But then the real factor is how many rain days are in a week, or the religious holidays that aren't paid, or the simple fact that there isn't enough hours to provide for even a workers basic lifestyle. Ok the service that they are offering are mostly covered by subcontractors. So I ask you : Why not just save yourself and call the guy doing the work instead of a company whos primary purpose is to profit off the worker, then never call the worker again once they find a cheaper way to carry out a job. My overall recommendation is find a company that is more service orientated , not so focussed on how much they can make off of you and your properties. Yes they have been around for X number of years, but how many workers did there job but got fired so this company never had to pay any benefits to them : fired before the 3 month probation.

Spoke to Joe about my requirements for the door. We went back and forth for a few times, Joe is very patient with all my questions, requirements, and provided me with a number of updated quotes after a few changes. Finally the order was placed in late August. The door, with 2 side lites and multi points locking system, was ready, Joe called to confirm installation date. Ken with his installer, along with Joe came on August 6 to install the new door. They did a fantastic job in removing the old door and installing the new door. They cleaned up all the debris and left with a spotless space! In the next day, I found out that the door bottom sweep needs to be adjusted, emailed Joe on this. Within 2 days Ken and Joe came back to adjust the sweep, as well as providing 2 additional corner seala ensuring the new door is tight and no cold draft coming in. Overall, we are very pleased with the service, attention to details, and after install service with Confidence Door. They were the only one that didn't upsell into more than what was needed. They arrive on time and have worked together for years. They are polite and keep the jobsite clean. The owner is on-site working with the crew. They listen well and treat your property as if it were their own.
