For context, he hadn't filed a claim in decades and had a clean driving record. Liberty Mutual notified him that now he was single and, I guess, considered more risky, the entire auto policy was going to increase by $800 per year, above what he and mom were currently paying. Unbelievable and unethical. Needless to say, he switched providers for both home and auto, but it was really the last thing he needed given his recent loss and is a prime example of why customer loyalty is exploited rather than honored. By the way, their Doug and Emu commercials (and all the others) are the worst, and I cringe every time they pop up.

My insurance carrier was amazing, they had me in a rental car immediately, paid for my medical bills out of pocket, and helped me coordinate with the other carrier to get money to buy a new car. Took a day off to go to a new Allstate agent because my agent of 25 years failed to return my calls…read morefor over a month. Allstate suggested I find a new agent. This guys office sat with me for almost an hour. Then 5 hours late calls me back to say he can't write my policy because another agent already has my account.. So I guess according to Allstate agents protect other agents. Even if the suck. I'm done with Allstate after 45 years. Company lost $6000 in policies..it's a wonder they stay in business.
