Because of covid you need to buy tickets ahead of time and you get a time slot to go enjoy the farm. The entry fee is 10$ per person. Once you arrive you get a bracelet and can pick up any prepaid bags for you apples or you can pay for them there. You can then check out some of the farm animals or let the kids use the slide and climb around the play area. Once your ready to pick the apples or pumpkins or even corn, you hop on the tractor and then pick your stop to get off at when they announce what fruits/veggies are available. You get to pick them and take them home ! They have washing stations for the veg as well. Once your done wait for the tractor to pick you up and head back home and bake your heart away !

Once you're in the farm, you can go see some cute farm animals. There is also a big kiosk where they sell products made in-house, those are extremely overpriced! A truck brings you to a pumpkin patch. There are various kinds of squash and pumpkins, all priced very fairly. There was also apple picking available, but that is also overpriced. It costs $11 for a little bag, which is 3 to 4 dollars at the grocery store! Perhaps bringing the price down would entice people to buy more. In general, it's a nice farm with very friendly workers. A great place to go with your significant other, family, friends, kids, anyone! You just have to choose what you want to purchase.

Went here for what was considered the last weekend of this years season (October 1). Was a 35 minute drive from the plateau. Each tree has a color marker on it to tell you which type you're getting. We arrived around 12 pm. It was definitely full...but not obscene...big gravel parking lot with helpful parking attendants directing traffic! When we left around 2pm things were starting to get a good amount more full... Upon arriving they give you a big plastic bag and you can fill it with 20 pound of apples (18 $). You grab a little tractor ride into the fields. When we got off the tractor, they told us a good area to focus our search in. Lots of trees and ladders made for a fun time with friends and some cute photos :) Only negative for me was that it was a bit of a free for all, kids were hanging out of trees, people swinging ladders around...I am not sure if it is like this everywhere though?

This place is a hidden gem as it may be the closes apple orchard to Montreal. We love it because it's 15 minutes from our house! I've been coming here for 8 years and my wife has been coming here for 15 - 20 years. They had a great selection of apples and our favorite is to come in August when the apples are nice and tart! It's a family run business and their main time when they have tractors taking you deep into the orchards is in mid September. During this time it's a great family activity on a weekend and it gets pretty packed. They do have a good selection of local jellies and some apple and maple products. Also if you are lucky some fresh pressed apple juice. Price this year for a large bag of apples was $15. This is for a 10 pound U-pick. Selection of apples is cortland,lobo, macintosh. The Mcintosh are our favourite. I'm not sure the pesticide that they use but it would be a strong recommendation to wash them very well when you get home! Definitely a hidden gem. If you like the apples firm and tart in taste come in late August. If you like them more sweet and softer come later in September.

Lobo apples are delicious! There's ladders for those hard to reach apples and plenty of children's parks around and even a little farm with goats and chickens so a great day out for all the family!

It's our annual tradition to go apple picking and while you could probably get great apples at…read moreother orchards with less crowds, you'll miss out on the restauraunt, boutique, bistro, live band, park, petting farm, and picnic grounds that makes Verger LaFrance so popular. If you go during peak apple picking season in September, expect to find large crowds everywhere! If you go in the beginning of October, it is much less crowded and you may even be able to find an available ladder in the orchard. I personally prefer visiting in the first two weeks of October since you can pick Cortland apples as they're the last type of apple to ripen and they keep really well. In September, it's too early for them and they're usually very small and unripe. What to know about visiting during covid is that you're not allowed to eat the apples in the orchard but then again, there's no enforcement of it so people do so anyway. There are lines to go into the boutique and bistro but you have the music of the live band to keep you entertained while you wait. They make some sought after apple donuts and the best place to pick up the donuts are at the Bistro. You can get them fresh out of the fryer and it's 6 for $13.75. They're not as appley as I had hoped, rather they're very doughy and cinnamony. They're best eaten fresh. We warmed them up in the oven the next day but not as good. So my advice is to get what you can eat immediately. If you want honeycrisp apples, those are available outside the boutique already picked, available in 3 sizes: 3lb, 5lb and 10lb. You can also buy other pre-picked apples and mini sour apples. There's a very tall sour mini apple tree located at one of the intersections in the orchard and the kiddies love eating them. If you're going during peak season, go early because the crowds swell as the day progresses. There's tons of parking around so that part isn't a problem. Since they're open year round, you could save the visits to the boutique for another time and avoid the crowds.

When asked why the oranges were not good at all, was informed they're Egyptian grown and sub par. When asked why not, as in the past, import Jaffa oranges (btw grown by both Arab and Jewish Israelis) was told new owners say if the product is from Israel, they won't buy it. Very disturbing to know that this place will not procure the best fruit and/or vegetables if it's produced in Israel. Next door is Chez Louis and they source the best fruits and vegetables from countries around the world, including Israel. They supply Montreal's finest restaurants.

It makes the perfect last minute stop when you're not in the mood for rush-hour at IGA at Cavendish Mall. The parking is a little difficult to maneuver and very often lacking as it is shared with quite a few other places in the tiny strip mall but it's a good spot with friendly service and it's beyond easy to pop in and out quickly to get whatever you may need.

The veggies and fruit are always in great shape, no hidden half rotten ones in the packages. The tiny shop is stacked with all kinds of treasures, delicious pesto, oils, teas, chocolates, pastas. The best thing about this shop though is the owners and staff. They are so warm and friendly, they pop their heads around the corner to see if you need help finding things, they wave when you walk by, and they are always outside making their fruit displays shine. Super happy to have them in the neighbourhood!
