I've been shopping at Freyja since 2007 or so, when I first began visiting Fernie, and have spent a considerable amount of money there. A few years ago I received an expensive bag from the store for Christmas. My sister received the same one. They both began to fall apart a mere month afterwards, so the next time I was in Fernie I spoke to the sales associate about the problem, who gave me the owner's email address and was very polite and helpful. I emailed the owner, but my email was returned saying the address was not valid. I attempted a number of different emails with no success, and every time I was in town it seemed the owner was not, and therefore I couldn't get any help with the purse. Finally, after about a year, I entered the store and was able to speak to the owner. She told me, in an incredibly degrading tone, that she knew EXACTLY who I was, and had already "dealt with my family." She claimed to have responded to my email, news to me, and begrudgingly gave me a store credit. Speaking to me like I was a child, she told me not to lose the paper credit, because she wasn't giving me another one. As if I was deeply inconveniencing her store. Since that terrible experience I have dealt with her once more. I received a beautiful coat this year for Christmas (from Freyja), and the fake leather belt was already breaking in half. I returned to the store to see if I could trade the belt for another, and the owner treated me and my sister as if we were criminals. She has absolutely no social skills, of which her idea of "customer service" is proof. Her behaviour might be overlooked in downtown Manhattan, but last time I checked, that was 4000 km east. Time to smarten up or keep losing customers.

Went shopping in Fernie looking for some high end unique items. This store does have them but the…read moreowner was so rude I felt judged by the way I looked. I did not have my bags so I could not get ready to go out for the day (long story). But i did have my $$$$.$$ and found a things I would of purchased. In the change room she got a sign on the wall about pretty woman if you seen the movie Julia Roberts is not served in some high end shops B.Hills cause of the way she looked and dressed. I DID not look like a prostitute I did not look poor, I just looked like a normal person shopping. I spent 1800.00 in other shop that day and was treated very good in the other great shops Fernie has to offer. Checking out the Indigo Spa today l will let you know how that is on next post

I was ready to buy a new set of poles, but a staff member said he could fix it. He fixed it in less than an hour so I could quickly get back on the road (I was just driving through town). Incredibly generous. I'll come back here every chance I get.

Instead, I ended up picking up some new jeans, pants, several tops, T-shirt and a pair of flip flops along with a new piece of hair claw. The fashion items are very well curated. I wish I get to see what their fall collection will look like but will definitely jump online to view later. Aside from being a clothes and gift boutique, they also do hair and makeup for special occasions and carry a great assortment of nail polishes, salon grade hair products as well as bath products. It is definitely my must-stop in every time I am at Fernie. Hands down the coolest boutique in town!

They are a great snowboard shop located right on the main strip in Fernie and have a great selection of boards, bindings, boots and plenty of gear. Staff was really great and helpful.
