I think the old adage "you get what you pay for" applies here. I can't complain about Joe as a person, because he was a nice guy, but his office was pretty disorganized, and I had to take the initiative to reach out numerous times to get status reports and updates rather than his office keeping me apprised. Also, at the actual closing, he sent some random attorney that I had never met before without even giving me a heads up that someone else was going to show up to my closing. It really wasn't appreciated right before the largest purchase of my entire life to that point, and I just stood there like, "who the hell are you?" until she introduced herself. Last thing that turned me off was that literally the day after I got the key to the house, the ceiling collapsed from a roof leak that the owner lied about, and when I called him to ask him for his assistance, he basically told me that I should call a litigation attorney, but that it wouldn't be worth it and there was nothing much I could do about it. That very well may have been the case, but for an incredibly distressed first-time homebuyer facing an emergent $20K repair the day after buying the house, it was a very not-compassionate response. This was my first closing, so maybe all real estate attorneys handle the "small apples" cases the same way, but I definitely got the sense that I was just one faceless, nameless person for them. Personally, I would not recommend this firm.

The first time he took a history. The second time he reviewed the contract my ex a lawyer husband wroteup which he made no changes all i wanted was to have 2 things changed in the document he didnt even try to negotiate and my husband said he never even contacted them. . I called once freaking out broke when my furnance broke in the middle of winter and my ex would not pay he never called back. I was upset and he got nasty with me threatened to fire me. Then he kept charged me again saying the retainer was used up. I'm not sure how since he did nothing when i kept asking for child support for over a year and was broke. He also kept wanting me to go to court because my ex has alot of money. i refused because my children didnt want to. We had 1 court date I was online. All he talked about was how he wanted to get paid. Nothing about child support which I had to live on credit card debit for over a year. He also didnt object to the lies the other lawyer said not once. It was just about him getting paid. And im not sure what he is on but he was shaking in court something my husband and his lawyer also noticed. He also told the judge we were proceeding to court I was horrified because I told him absolutely not prior. I called him after and asked why he went against my wishes. e said its the best option but it was against my wishes. After both my husband and his lawyer went to the judge to tell them that he was double billing. But he threatened to sue the lawyer who then didnt want to deal with it. My husband told me him and his lawyer were making fun of him that he was so bad, shaking and illegal billing . My husband told me his lawyr said he is a low class lawyer that does not deal with high end clients which he claims. Then he put a lien out on my house which my ex felt so bad and paid despite he was scamming me. So all that stress and money and him being nasty and going against my wishes he never got me 1 cent in child support in over a year or had 1 change to the contract but went way over the retainer. . He also told the judge he wanted a forensic accountant which I prior had also told him no. The the judge ordered me to pay 1/2 of it but I had not a cent and didnt want it. Again against my wishes. He should be disbarred.
