There's also signs in the window advertising cheap beer, cider and alcopops - which makes it a dream destination for teenagers and drunks. I've popped in a few times for bottles of Sol and Corona when the other off licenses in the area were already closed but I wouldn't touch most of the wine with a barge pole. With such cheap prices, I'm imagining most of it probably tastes like battery acid. You can probably find a couple of decent bottles if you look hard enough but I'd rather go to an off license with a passion for good wine and liquor.

When I was in urgent need to send a fax back to the USA they were there and helped me to do it without any issues. Whilst I like to browse this store I do find the prices to be quite high and I find it very rare that I find anything that suits my requirements.

I often seem to end up here on my way home, if money's tight, picking up some cheap grub, and for that this store is absolutely fine. Just don't expect anything too fancy: it is just a convenience store. Run by the same people that run All Sorts across the road, North Street Food and Wine is definitely the better of the two shops. They have more on offer, not just booze and magazines, and it can legitimately replace a cheap food shop if you're just looking for microwave pizzas and crisps. I have to admit the occasional horrible food binge: every now and again, food like that is all I really want, making this the right place to go. As stated above, this is a convenience store: don't expect the world from the stock. If you're looking for anything beyond cheap, tasteless snacky bits and pieces, you should be shopping elsewhere. Also, offering lots of cheap food but smacking on a huge card handling fee is not my idea of a fair deal. Especially when it seems to change depending on who's serving... In the end, North Street Food and Wine is convenient and has a larger stock than most convenience stores, so it is a lot better than many of the convenience stores that dot Brighton's shopping landscape. Just don't expect healthy food, or anything out of the ordinary.

If so, then this store is the better of the two (although lacking an internet cafe, but then why would you need another one 30 seconds away?!). Here you'll find your usual array of cheap snack foods, as well as a few basic grocery/household items. They also sell individual fresh fruit pieces, displayed outside, which can be quite handy if you're on the go.

Between the Lines is situated on North Street in the centre of Midhurst. It has a great, really varied selection of cards (including lots of cards for special events, anniversaries etc). It also has a good selection of gifts (by people such as Emma Bridgewater and East of India) CDs and wrapping paper,. The prices are reasonable too, in comparison with London prices.
