My husband and I had a travel agent book us this amazing place in 2015. I fell in love with it so much I came back with my best friend in 2017. It's a very reasonably priced place for everything you endure here. It's a restored little castle that you are encouraged to explore during your stay. It's located on a farm that you are welcome to collect eggs, milk cows and pet the animals (optional). The inside of this place is something out of a Victorian dream or something you see in a movie. Very exquisite interior, sparkly clean, spacious rooms, cozy and comfortable. Water is provided in your rooms, outside food or drink is not accepted (understandably). It's a completely divine experience you will never forget. The hosts are wonderful and deliver such heartfelt hospitality. In the mornings they go above and beyond for a breakfast, milk and cheese made on their farm. They have a lovely menu you are sure to want more. The first time I stayed here, my husband and I were the only ones on the entire facility. The staff had a huge presentation of a delicious breakfast buffet, I was blown away. I had the exact same experience the second time with two other families and it was lovely. I truly can't express enough how much I love this place, I would move here and work here in a heartbeat. I want so much for everyone to enjoy what I can only dream of. I've traveled a handful of countries and many places in the US, I have never had a move gorgeous memory. The hotel was nice. It is very basic but certainly covers all of your needs. The bar inside the hotel serves meals and they were very good. Great quality food at a decent price. The restaurant that serves breakfast inside the hotel also serves dinner but requires reservations so we did not have a chance to eat there. We did however have breakfast there each morning and it was good quality and variety. The pool and fitness equipment are located with in a spa that is on the property. Upon arriving I was immediately greeted by Karen. She made me feel so very Welcome. She explained everything about the hotel and the town. Chelsie also helped me get checked in also. Chelsie made me feel very Welcome also. My room was so very clean, great bathroom, great bed , television , desk and was just perfect. The next morning I had an amazing full Irish Breakfast. Great Coffee and Toast also. The chef Steve is an amazing chef and so professional. He made sure I was well taken care of. He genuinely cares about the guests. The dinning room is very cozy and very well set up. Murphy's Hotel is located in the village of Tinahely , County Wickow. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, lived in the United States for over thirty years and served all over the world with the United States Marines all over the world. Seemed like we were bothering him and he didn't want to be there. But EVERYONE else was great. The room was a little outdated but the bed was comfy, there was plenty of room, the view was amazing. Beautiful Guesthouse but wasted on me…read more. I was attending a wedding in Seafield Hotel and couldn't get a room there. I managed to book a single room in Marlfield just down the road. It is a really amazing place and extremely classy. I had paid for breakfast but skipped it due to my hungover state. Pity I'm sure it would have been delicious. I hope to return someday and enjoy the house and beautifully manicured gardens another time. Very highly recommended for a romantic getaway.
