We had a fantastic dinner here! Great location right on the water so it made for a very nice sunset dinner out on the deck. The weather was perfect. We shared the fresh salmon sashimi, a salad and their signature fish and chips. The fish was really fresh and the chips were piping hot! We also shared the tiramisu and some caramel truffles for dessert. Not sure if we'll ever get back to Lakes Entrance but if or when we do we'll be sure to eat here again! read more

Honestly the biggest disappointment on our trip from Sydney to Melbourne. They're highly recommended in lonely planet but I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The menu has limited seafood option, I would have expected more (scallops, crabs etc...). We ordered the seafood platter, part of the dish was salmon sashimi - came with sweet soy sauce and bones. The slices were pre-mixed in ginger already, just not good at all. Oysters were average, nothing spectacular. The warm slice of bread was a chef's miss. Thick slice, toasted on each side but never got crispy and it was doughy in the middle. It was very average despite the recommendations in our guide book. Expensive for the quality. The inside can definitely use some renovation as it looks like an old ship from a bad movie. I would never recommend it and I will never go back. read more

I always believe in starting out with the positive- so I did enjoy the view and the fresh oysters. Beyond that, for a seafood cafe the seafood platter we received was below average. I wondered to myself a couple of times if the ingredients are fresh- which is never a good thing at a seafood restaurant. We are seafood lovers and we walked away and left half of the platter. The sashimi was pre-mixed with ginger and we left most of it behind. The service was average at best and same with the decor. The bill we received and the quality of food we received were not comparable. read more
