There aren't other wineries around. The host seemed to be the owner and was very friendly. I got in too late for prepared food but they do platters all day and I had a local cheese platter. It was cheddar and pepper cheddar, none very sharp but they were fine, and came with nice preserves, apple slices, and crackers. I asked for recommendations for my tasting. A bit to my surprise the wine was actually all quite good. Nice Riesling, nice Gewürztraminer, the Sauvignon blank smelled just like passion fruit. There's only one red available now, a cab sauv that I didn't love, but it definitely wasn't bad. They had a nice fortified red, too, and j didn't try the moscato but someone else came in and tried it and bought two bottles immediately, so I assume it was decent. There are nice wooded areas around it and you can walk down to a lake to wait off your tasting.
