If it weren't for the dogs we would not have found all the birds in the corn, maize, tree lines, habitat and grass. Beautiful birds. Fun shooting and safety was first and foremost an important subject. And no problems arose.

If you're all bougie and fancy, don't stay here and then blast them with a crappy rating and complain about it. It's not for you. Drive another hour to Pierre and stay there instead. But if you just need a place to sleep, it gets the job done. It's clean. It doesn't smell. They take care of the property as best they can. Reservations are made by phone. You're in South Dakota, so you're going to get flies in your room. There's a swatter on the wall. There's a mini fridge. You can make yourself a coffee in the office. My one and only complaint is the pillows. They smell like sweaty dudes. Management needs to run every pillow they've got over to the laundromat once in a while to clean them out. I took a hand towel from the bathroom and slid it between the pillow and pillowcase and was just fine. Or, just bring your own pillow.

The rooms all have microwaves and refrigerators. If you are a colder person and like warm rooms, request to stay upstairs. If you can't sleep in the heat, request a room downstairs. I go here every year and will continue to stay here. I could find a chain in Pierre but this is much nicer and you support the local businesses.
