The presentation is straight out of a magazine, the ingredients are all delicious, and it packs a serious wallop. "In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. Eventually we went to vodka and tonics, for the same price, but with much more alcohol, and some nice Grey Goose or Absolut. The nice thing about the cocktails is that they weren't made to measure -- a careful, wobbly pour of 35 ml takes some of the magic away from cocktail making, so it was nice to see the barman just put a great dirty slug of vodka in the glass, and properly lemonung the rim of the glass as well. The smoking area/garden is very nice, coming up some stairs to a terraced area with tables and chairs. But the really special bits are the little tucked away rooms with fab candle light, gorgeous comfy leather sofas and intriguing patterned wall paper.
