Situated right on the Gulf of Mexico, you are merely steps away from experiencing one of the most beautiful, soft-sanded beaches in the area. The Gulf is clear and warm. If the beach isn't your thing, take a dip in their clean, sparkling pool and relax to the sounds of gentle waves just beyond the pool deck. Guests of this hotel are also treated to a front row seat to the most breathtaking sunsets you will ever see. Don't miss it! Not only are they a quick 2 minute walk to the bus stop, they are within easy walking/cycling distance of several great restaurants, a nice local brewery, and a few shops, including a well-stocked CVS. We woke up to what my boyfriend thought was some kind of mysterious skin condition. Half asleep, he kept brushing little specks off the bed and himself, trying to figure out why his skin was suddenly shedding like a snake. After several minutes of confusion and mild panic layered with hysterical laughter we discovered it wasn't his skin at all--it was termite droppings literally raining down on us from above. Nothing says "vacation relaxation" quite like lying in bed while insects droppings fall from the ceiling. The hotel apparently believes in immersive wildlife experiences, and they definitely delivered. The pool bar service was exceptional however the poolside service was exceptionally bad. The servers were not only elusive but they were bothered and actually argumentative. It should be mentioned that we were ordering buckets of canned beverages and nothing that required an eye roll, fruit adornment or a blender. It couldn't get any easier than our order and watching her crash out when we asked for a chicken quesadilla kind of made our day. Imagine our nerve... The front desk guy handled it like a champ. I'm no Inspector Gadget but his lack of surprise and the sealant all over the ceiling in our room leads me to believe this wasn't the first time Russ heard this. I recommend checking your bed before you unpack your belongings and if you plan on utilizing the servers at the pool I'd suggest you have thick skin as they are not for the weak. On the bright side, we left with memories we'll never forget and a newfound ability to identify termite droppings on sight.

We had the carriage house which is a small studio and beautiful just for two people for a few days. Since It was Halloween weekend, they left us a little bucket with Halloween candy and two T-shirts which I thought was a really nice touch. I highly recommend Sarah's Seaside. I spoke to Janet when making my reservation, she was wonderful and very helpful. They have lounge chairs on the beach with the great pillows, cabana (no charge) bikes if you want to ride also free, a washer and dryer if you want to wash your clothes, and yup free. Everyone is very accommodating. Staff a wonderful, Janet my contact at the resort cane by and introduced herself, showed us around. Overall a wonderful experience.

Rooms are spotless and very comfortable, well decorated and all the supplies for cooking your own meals if you want. Pam and I stayed in the Carriage House while my 2 sons and family with 3 children stayed in the Governors Main where the porch is shaded with great view of the beautiful sunsets. Great place for family vacation or reunion. Owners and staff and very nice, welcoming and available for any special needs. They will make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your time. Each unit has some type of gulf view. We stayed in 201 and had a view from one bedroom and also to the side from the large patio. It was fine as it's just a minute walk from the unit to the sand. There is a nice pool area with plenty of chairs and a separate hot tub area with a tiki area if you want to grill out. The resort offers plenty of Adirondack chairs to take out to the beach. The beach area here is very wide and clean. It's more of a residential area so very safe and not over run with tourists. The staff are very helpful. I'd actually confirmed 2 different units for consecutive weeks and they were able to work out our not having to move. There are several restaurants within walking distance and plenty up and down a gulf blvd. if you have a car. Tons to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again!

My daughter's feet were super filthy after walking for just a few minutes. - water pressure/shower heads weren't the best - no beach towels provided in the room, we got 3 at the front office - only one elevator on our side was working the whole time, and upon departure when we're trying to bring all our stuff down, all elevators on our side stopped working - beds were overall comfortable but you can tell are getting old, you can feel and hear the springs in the sides of the bed The positives: - the front office service was SO nice, especially Teresa, she is absolutely excellent! - the balcony with view of the water park was super nice and made the little one super excited - sheets and towels were clean - water park was super fun, so much to do for young kids We loved our experience so much, but having clean floors would really have made it a ton better.

Calling Health code inspectors have you inspected this Motel and passed it? This place has many health code violations. My kids couldn't sleep or takes showers because of roaches everywhere... bugs in the bed and no shower head in a dirty bathroom. The motel owner gave one of them a towel with poop stain. The motel needs to be SHUT DOWN ASAP.
