i'm 100% with Amanda M. We also came after Hurricane Milton. Our Usual place is closed due to the storm damage, so we booked here as they are one of the only places open with full Kitchenettes. Most of the Restaurants are still closed, Publix is open. CVS is open, Walgreens is open. Enough places to get essentials. Sir Hubbers & I drove around the whole hotel, the side streets surrounding this hotel are apocalyptic. I have never seen anything like it. Everyone has been flooded. All the gorgeous St Pete beach homes have been gutted & the entire contents of everyone's homes are on the street. It looks like a war zone. However, when you come into this property it looks immaculate. This place was somehow untouched. The two pools are gorgeous, the rooms spotless & our King Suite was super comfortable. Perfect in every way. Our King Suite has a full kitchen with a full size stove, full size refrigerator & a full size pull out couch with separate AC & fan. The separate King Bedroom & bath were divided by a sliding barn door with its on walk in closet, walk in Marble tiled Shower, it's own AC & fan! Our King bed & bath were super comfy & gorgeous in every way. We even had all brand new towels. Honestly, we can't find one thing to criticize about this place. They even have a wall of "Beach stuff" to use to take to the beach. WOW. This place is just perfect for us. Covered all our needs. We also met the lovely Amanda, she is super friendly, service was excellent. We LOVED our stay at "St Pete Beach suites" & can't wait to return. We have finally found our home away from home OuiOui. My family and I spent a night here after having to leave our other rental a day early. We left in a massive thunderstorm. The management was very accommodating with an early check in, so we didn't have to wander in flood waters until 4pm. The place was VERY cool. It's a perfect blend of history and modernity. We arrived after the hurricane and they were the only ones open in our location. Our fist hotel Post card Inn had to cancel due to damage. But our airline refused to let us reschedule. Emma was amazing and upgraded us to a king kitchenette since no restaurants were open. Amanda at the front desk was so helpful to us since we were new to the area. The beach is walking distance and you could still access it. We were able to see a manatee and a pod of dolphins. I would give them a 5 star review for cleanliness, friendly attentive staff that I loved chatting with, lovely pools, and proximity to the beach. Our room had a well stocked kitchen area, but overall, it was teeny tiny, so minus the one star. The bed was very comfortable but there was no dresser to put away our clothes so we basically lived out of our suitcases for 4 days. The bathroom was tiny with no place to put toiletries. Newly renovated room in boutique hotel was perfect. The kitchenette was useful for a quick meal or warming leftovers. The separate bedroom also helped accommodate different sleep schedules. The location was only a block or so from beach access as well as restaurants and shopping. We were able to ride the loaner bikes on the beach. We originally chose this motel because the Post Card Inn was all booked up, and in retrospect, I'm so glad it was! This place turned out to be a total gem. Luckily, we popped in early to check in, which is good because the office is not open all day/night like most hotels. It's got a real mom-and-pop feel. They've really revamped/modernized the old Dolphin motel while also keeping its retro charm. We were more than happy with the grounds, the pools (yeah, there are somehow two on this tiny property), our room and the awesome amenities like free bike rental, free beach wagon rental, lawn games and more. Our room featured a memory foam king sized bed (a little too soft for us, but that's just personal preference), a bathroom filled with top-to-bottom marble, a large flat screen, a kitchenette...pretty much everything you could need on vacay. Oh, did I mention it's like a 30-second walk to the beach? Safety Tip: We locked the door and were about to walk away before I (my paranoid self) jiggled the handle and noticed it didn't lock properly. I really don't like giving bad reviews but Iwhen you're paying this kind of money and and you haven't slept all night I feel this review is extremely necessary. - place is oddly furnished and really not comfortable everything is pushed against the wall it's just odd -The walls are literally paper thin - you can literally hear everything when someone walks by your room and people are coming in after the bars close at three and they stand outside and have total conversation -you can hear televisions you can hear peoples conversations you can hear people in the next room going to the bathroom! -It's the most uncomfortable place I've ever been read more

We only stayed one night but we would definitely stay more. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this place. It was very clean and smelled great. It might seem like a small thing for a room to smell good, but if you've stayed in any hotel that smells like a hotel you understand how comforting a good smell can be when you're not at home. I felt like I was back in 1975 while staying there and it's a great thing! St. Pete Beach Suites is a lovely and unique inn with a cool retro vibe right across the street from the beach. The rooms have been renovated and have a beachy modern decor while also maximizing space. I had a pool suite on the first level that includes a king size bed, sofa and table with four stools along with a kitchenette, including a mini fridge and microwave. The bathrooms were also super cute and clean with a tiled shower. I looked at a lot of hotel properties on Booking.com trying to decide where to do a midweek stay while celebrating my birthday with my daughter. I actually had another place booked but I wanted to be closer to some of the popular beach bars, so I made the switch to SPBS because the price was right. As soon as we pulled up and entered the office to check in, I knew we were going to get that hands on customer service from former days that barely exists anymore. Miss Diane was efficient yet warm and explained in detail the amenities, which includes complimentary bike rentals and beach gear. She also gave us an extra cloth bag for my daughter because she knew us girls would want our own. Then I mentioned it was my birthday and ten minutes later we heard a knock on the door. Miss Diane brought me a card and a HUGE bottle of Riesling. I was amazed and really appreciated her thoughtfulness. I was a little worried when I checked in. The office was the the size of a closet, but the owner/manager was wonderful, explaining everything going on. My room was spacious and clean. Couch, king size bed, small kitchenette, table, bathroom, big TV. I remember thinking I could vacation in the room and go to the beach myself (instead of the big group I was with) and be happy. Cons about the room: the microwave was high. I'm 5'1" and would have a very hard time using it without a chair. There were a few broken blinds I was worried about someone seeing me - until I realized there were shades too. The sheets weren't good quality. They were scratchy. Pros - the room was clean, NO bugs, comfortable, good temperature, had everything I needed, and was decorated nicely. The amenities were nice. A few pools to hang out in. Some games to play. Bikes and wagons to use. The motel is a block from the beach. It had a nice, beach feeling to it. I would go back here. read more

We had the pleasure of spending 3 days in St. Pete Beach. We found St. Pete Beach Suites online and booked their 2 room suite. We had such an amazing time! This hotel is so much fun! They have restored the property back to its hay day. The room was clean and appropriately stocked with sensible accommodations. The hotel offers so many incredible amenities that include lawn games, wonderful outdoor places to sit, relax, and enjoy the FL sunshine and breeze. They offer free to use Beach gear like chairs, umbrellas, and carts to haul the items to the beach. They even offer bicycles to check out for a bike ride. There are two great pools on property. There are several great restaurants in walking distance. The beach is only a short block away and includes a restaurant and chair/umbrellas rentals (if not using the hotel's items). Above all, the staff is awesome. They are friendly and so helpful. We will definitely stay their again. read more

We stayed for several days and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a suite, with a kitchen and roll out bed. It was perfect for our family. We cooked and really liked having the fridge and stove. This place was awesome! We stayed for a week and didn't have any issues. The pictures are exactly how it looks both outside and inside. Our room was cozy and clean and the bed was super comfortable and pretty big. There was no daily housekeeping but that was fine because they have extra towels and other supplies in a storage hallway that you have access to anytime you need anything. Both pools were clean and they have pool toys that you can use. The "play area" where the outside games are were definitely a plus for some fun where you are bored. This place was disgusting! The floors were filthy, dead bugs wrapped in the wash clothes on the counter, toilet barely flushed, found a blanket in the closet (supposedly clean) had dried blood on it!, the pools haven't been cleaned, under couches and beds were filthy with dust and crumbs, our feet were black after walking in the room for 5 minutes. When I approached front desk with the problems, she had an excuse for everything, and just said "sorry I can't believe it or no way they left it dirty after cleaning" we had a big group of us and we got two other rooms as well and ALL OF OUR ROOMS WERE DISGUSTING!! We made the best of it because it was our first vacation with our little ones and first trip to Florida ever! But never will stay here again. read more

I would give our stay at St Pete Beach Suites a 3.5-4 star review. Let me say that the staff was professional and gave us a nice welcome even helping getting our things out of the car when we arrived before a Florida afternoon shower hit. It is an older property but well kept. My favorite feature is that there is ample parking and it is one block from the beach. I was able to go to the beach anytime I wanted during our stay and with an almost 2 year old he was able to walk to the beach which make the trip enjoyable. My main complaint is that the WiFi never connected properly during our entire stay. It was very frustrating as we had to use our own data for all of those days even as I saw multiple WiFi's from the hotel showing. None of our devices could connect. The other issue was the shower not being hot. One morning the shower was literally cold which was so annoying. We loved the pool and overall we had an enjoyable stay but those issues need to be addressed. read more

Great stay! We are definitely coming back. We had a one bedroom apartment by the pool with the king sized bed. Also, this place allows pets! There is a $30 fee per night for the pet and you would be staying on the ground level by the pool. Great facilities! Clean, comfortable, convenient, one block away from the beach. They have bikes, beach wagons, ice, fresh towels daily, vending machine and showers outside to rinse off the sand. Our apartment had 2 TVs. The wi-fi is fee and kind of slow but we made it work. We had a full kitchen, dishes, pots and pans in case you wanted to cook. There are 2 grills outside of you decide to BBQ. The bathroom vanity was very small, but we made it work. We stayed here for one night after a visit to the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. It is a great old style beach hotel with two pools, a nice lawn with games, and a short walk to the beach. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was a small suite with a kitchenette including a small fridge, stove, sink and microwave (which unfortunately was on a shelf way too high for anyone under six feet to reach). Everything was very clean, but a little old-- the stove top had some loose burners, one of the kitchen cabinets was chipped as was one of the blinds. The bathroom was large and very clean. The water pressure in the shower was weak, not much more than a trickle. None of this mattered too much to us as it was clean, convenient and comfortable. If we had been staying longer, these issues might have been more bothersome, but overall if you want a fun, comfortable and convenient place to stay at the beach this should fit the bill. read more

Never been here before, but this was a nice cozy spot to spend a few days. Reasonable prices, two blocks walking distance to a beautiful beach, two ver nice pools right outside the rooms, and plenty of restaurants, clubs, bars, or whatever you want within 10 minutes or so walking. The buildings have obviously been renovated and the rooms are modern and very clean. Ours had a kitchenette with an almost full-sized fridge/freezer. My fiancé and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was one of the most amazing experiences. The staff was beyond friendly - special shout out to Lisa who helped us when we arrived at 6:30 am! They have free bike rentals, we rode to the beach and back so easily. The room was clean, spacious, and included hair dryer, iron and board, coffee machine and more! There are 2 big pools and games all around the property!! Such a great stay overall and will absolutely stay here every time I come to St. Pete! read more

What made this place nice was the friendly staff. The pool was beautiful and I loved the dolphin water feature. We stayed New Year's Eve and they provided champagne, wine, orange juice with cookies (very nice). The suite was clean. Hot water took a long while in the shower, which I don't care but you might. It is an older property and it needs some work but was not in disrepair. (We had a 2nd floor suite and the flooring was not solid feeling,etc.) I believe it is pretty reasonable, there were bikes, beach chairs, towels, etc. It is a short walk from Upham Beach which you can see from the property. Loved the pool and location. I looked at another place next door and it was alot more in cost. Nothing is cheap in that area (that you would want to stay). Great place if you have a family and plan on making meals and enjoying the beach. read more

Definitely a little disappointed. This hotel was a little bit falsely advertised. We thought the room was going to be a little nicer, and the pictures online were pretty misleading, considering it was almost $300 a night. The location is great and it is just a block from the beach, but there were some problems with the actual room. Most of our lights did not work, all of the food from the guests before us was left in the fridge and freezer, our door got stuck on lock and was very difficult to open and all of the dishes and silverware were very dirty and had to be washed again. All in all, this is basically what you would expect out of a motel room, just for a steeper to price. I wish it had been advertised that way, I would've spent the extra $150 to stay at a nicer place. read more

But when u ask to look at the room and the manager comes up which 100 different why's you can't ..... yea that's when we should have walked away ... but we needed a room ! And that's where we messed up ! I was ok with the furniture we committed to it for 3 days ! It is what it is ... but when you drop a earring in floor and seen what I did ...that's just not right! ! Plus the noise across the street is crazy !!! Dogs barking 24/7 !! Plus no water pressure good luck if you got thick hair ! And if you got more than 2 people it takes forever to flush the toilet! They have water running very slow to feel the toilet up !!!! Maybe another room would have been better ‍ but this is a very old place that they remodeled did a pretty good job another than furniture and not cleaning the rooms properly ! Trust me they give you room 309 run away !!!!!! The property grounds, the pools, are nice !!! But for what we paid there shouldn't have old puke in the bathroom floor !!!! Nasty Nasty!!!! I cannot recommend this place enough! My friends and I were blown away by the quality considering how affordable it was. Our room was clean and beautiful. We loved the decor and having a full kitchen. We were also lucky to have a room right by the pool which was very convenient. You can tell the owners thought of everything when they opened the place: the kitchen had all necessary plates, cups, pots, etc; they have laundry facilities; they have two closets stocked with extra towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc we could help ourselves to; and they had plenty of beach chairs, mats, noodles, and toys we could borrow. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating, as well! The location was also a huge plus. We could easily walk back and forth from our room to the beach.
