My family and I spent a night here after having to leave our other rental a day early. We left in a massive thunderstorm. The management was very accommodating with an early check in, so we didn't have to wander in flood waters until 4pm. The place was VERY cool. It's a perfect blend of history and modernity. It's a short walk to the beach and they have two pools and lawn games. I wish we were staying a day longer. We'll be back!

We arrived after the hurricane and they were the only ones open in our location. Our fist hotel Post card Inn had to cancel due to damage. But our airline refused to let us reschedule. Emma was amazing and upgraded us to a king kitchenette since no restaurants were open. Amanda at the front desk was so helpful to us since we were new to the area. The beach is walking distance and you could still access it. We were able to see a manatee and a pod of dolphins. We will be returning after everything rebuilds as all the people in town were amazing. St Pete's Strong sending prayers and love to you all

Newly renovated room in boutique hotel was perfect. The kitchenette was useful for a quick meal or warming leftovers. The separate bedroom also helped accommodate different sleep schedules. The location was only a block or so from beach access as well as restaurants and shopping. We were able to ride the loaner bikes on the beach. The only disappointment was that one pool was closed and the 2nd pool wasn't heated.

We originally chose this motel because the Post Card Inn was all booked up, and in retrospect, I'm so glad it was! This place turned out to be a total gem. Luckily, we popped in early to check in, which is good because the office is not open all day/night like most hotels. It's got a real mom-and-pop feel. They've really revamped/modernized the old Dolphin motel while also keeping its retro charm. We were more than happy with the grounds, the pools (yeah, there are somehow two on this tiny property), our room and the awesome amenities like free bike rental, free beach wagon rental, lawn games and more. Our room featured a memory foam king sized bed (a little too soft for us, but that's just personal preference), a bathroom filled with top-to-bottom marble, a large flat screen, a kitchenette...pretty much everything you could need on vacay. Oh, did I mention it's like a 30-second walk to the beach? Safety Tip: We locked the door and were about to walk away before I (my paranoid self) jiggled the handle and noticed it didn't lock properly. Just be sure to double check since this is an older building with its quirks.

So sweet! They gave me a bday card

I felt like I was back in 1975 while staying there and it's a great thing! St. Pete Beach Suites is a lovely and unique inn with a cool retro vibe right across the street from the beach. The rooms have been renovated and have a beachy modern decor while also maximizing space. I had a pool suite on the first level that includes a king size bed, sofa and table with four stools along with a kitchenette, including a mini fridge and microwave. The bathrooms were also super cute and clean with a tiled shower. I looked at a lot of hotel properties on Booking.com trying to decide where to do a midweek stay while celebrating my birthday with my daughter. I actually had another place booked but I wanted to be closer to some of the popular beach bars, so I made the switch to SPBS because the price was right. As soon as we pulled up and entered the office to check in, I knew we were going to get that hands on customer service from former days that barely exists anymore. Miss Diane was efficient yet warm and explained in detail the amenities, which includes complimentary bike rentals and beach gear. She also gave us an extra cloth bag for my daughter because she knew us girls would want our own. Then I mentioned it was my birthday and ten minutes later we heard a knock on the door. Miss Diane brought me a card and a HUGE bottle of Riesling. I was amazed and really appreciated her thoughtfulness. I adore this area so I know I will definitely be back to stay at SPBS with my family and friends.

I was a little worried when I checked in. The office was the the size of a closet, but the owner/manager was wonderful, explaining everything going on. My room was spacious and clean. Couch, king size bed, small kitchenette, table, bathroom, big TV. I remember thinking I could vacation in the room and go to the beach myself (instead of the big group I was with) and be happy. Cons about the room: the microwave was high. I'm 5'1" and would have a very hard time using it without a chair. There were a few broken blinds I was worried about someone seeing me - until I realized there were shades too. The sheets weren't good quality. They were scratchy. Pros - the room was clean, NO bugs, comfortable, good temperature, had everything I needed, and was decorated nicely. The amenities were nice. A few pools to hang out in. Some games to play. Bikes and wagons to use. The motel is a block from the beach. It had a nice, beach feeling to it. I would go back here.

So charming. I will be returning. Steve was amazing. Rest of staff was nice and maintained property well. Rooms are remodeled and beautiful. Quick walk to beach and restaurants very convenient. They had pool and beach supplies. This was my first visit I will return. I was able to distress alone. It was the break I needed. I will be back. Also mom and pop owned.

We had the pleasure of spending 3 days in St. Pete Beach. We found St. Pete Beach Suites online and booked their 2 room suite. We had such an amazing time! This hotel is so much fun! They have restored the property back to its hay day. The room was clean and appropriately stocked with sensible accommodations. The hotel offers so many incredible amenities that include lawn games, wonderful outdoor places to sit, relax, and enjoy the FL sunshine and breeze. They offer free to use Beach gear like chairs, umbrellas, and carts to haul the items to the beach. They even offer bicycles to check out for a bike ride. There are two great pools on property. There are several great restaurants in walking distance. The beach is only a short block away and includes a restaurant and chair/umbrellas rentals (if not using the hotel's items). Above all, the staff is awesome. They are friendly and so helpful. We will definitely stay their again.

Pool deck: had plenty of chairs, shade and fun toys for the kiddos.

We stayed for several days and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a suite, with a kitchen and roll out bed. It was perfect for our family. We cooked and really liked having the fridge and stove. The hotel was CLEAN and decorated so nicely! Modern simple feeling. We will be back. It is a short walk to the beach. It is one block over. The hotel has a wagon to borrow and haul your beach gear over. They also had chairs and toys for the kids.

This place was disgusting! The floors were filthy, dead bugs wrapped in the wash clothes on the counter, toilet barely flushed, found a blanket in the closet (supposedly clean) had dried blood on it!, the pools haven't been cleaned, under couches and beds were filthy with dust and crumbs, our feet were black after walking in the room for 5 minutes. When I approached front desk with the problems, she had an excuse for everything, and just said "sorry I can't believe it or no way they left it dirty after cleaning" we had a big group of us and we got two other rooms as well and ALL OF OUR ROOMS WERE DISGUSTING!! We made the best of it because it was our first vacation with our little ones and first trip to Florida ever! But never will stay here again.

The cutest little hotel!! I was so happy with the customer service we received. I called to get an early check-in and I believe I spoke with Melissa(?), she was so friendly and helpful. Check in and check out were a breeze. Clean and modern rooms, adorable atmosphere. I wish I had known how cute this place was, we would have stayed longer.

We were excited to discover that the hotel is just a short walk away from one of our favorite beaches, Upham beach, which made the trip even more special. The property had a fun South Beach feel with plenty of seating to socialize, a cute pool with bright flamingo floats, a hot tub, and a great outdoor pool bar. Natalia was a great bartender, she was friendly and gave the most awesome recommendations off the menu. She did not miss a beat! Randy was a fantastic host. He was in communication via text as soon as the room was ready and greeted us immediately as we arrived on the property which does not require you to check in as they send you your room number and code to get in. Unfortunately, the noise level significantly impacted our stay. We were in Room 28, and directly behind the room is a hallway used by staff from the upstairs bar. Throughout the first night, we heard a heavy door repeatedly slamming and staff using rolling carts to transport trash. The noise continued until about 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. The next morning, I expressed my concerns to the front desk. He was polite, apologized, and said he would pass the information along. However, the noise resumed again the following night. Around 11:30 p.m., I stepped into the hallway and observed someone pulling trash on one of the carts; they did not appear interested in engaging when I tried to address it. Closer to midnight, after another loud door slam, I spoke with a different staff member who was very receptive and respectful. After that conversation, the noise level did decrease. I understand that hotel operations continue behind the scenes, but for a property positioned as an upscale boutique experience, I would expect better late-night noise control -- especially in rooms directly adjacent to service areas. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, due to the repeated overnight noise disruption, I would be hesitant to stay in that location of the property again.

It was quiet, clean, and the view was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed walking right out onto the beach, and the beach was not busy at all! We were able to find a sand dollar and some shells. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk team was very friendly, and the lady who checked us in offered us a top floor with a great view. I would 1000% stay here again!

We had a warm welcome from Kayla at the front desk and a very efficient and informative check-in. Really nice smile and genuine hospitality. If you are in a studio, one bedroom, or two bedroom, you have one car pass for the group. If you have a three bedroom, then you can receive two car passes. Due to its small footprint, parking is limited but sufficient. And the room was absolutely spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and everything was in working order. Very comfortable and a cool respite from the unrelentless sun. When leaving the unit, it is recommended to always draw the blackouts to help conserve the energy and the AC's function. You'll be glad you did. We did not get a chance to utilize the pool, but it looked like it was being put to good use with lots of happy people. It was easy to walk out to the beach so we utilized the beach every day of our stay. The hotel is easily walkable to John's pass Village and all the restaurants and shops there. The breakfast served each morning was fresh and tasty and always well-attended by the hotel guests. I would recommend getting there earlier versus later to avoid the crowds (7-10 AM). In addition to Kayla, Gavin was quite friendly and helpful at the front desk. All around, the the associates we encountered in any of the areas of the resort were engaged and interactive with the customers. Quite a guest-centric team. Remember to take your room key with you anytime departing your unit as it is required to enter both the beachside building as well as the front desk/lobby building. A 10 out of 10 stay!!!

We checked in on Thurs., Dec. 10th and stayed until Tues., Dec. 15th, coming into the Tampa area to witness and celebrate our daughter's graduation from USF. To begin with, checking in was a breeze, the grounds are incredibly clean and well-kept. The tropical foliage, palm trees and landscaping create this Utopian effect and you feel, well...relaxed. The resort houses approx. 35 - 45 condo-style units that give you a far better value than some of the competing hotels. I completely spaced taking pics of the interior while there but I can describe it as being fully furnished with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast dining area, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and approx. 1000 sq ft. The master bdr features one of the most comfortable king size beds I've ever slept on and I woke up each morning, feeling entirely refreshed. I'm gonna need to know the brand and style of mattress that was, when you read this, Westwinds! The place was super clean, fully stocked with a variety of towels, spacious and had a nice layout to it. The wildlife surrounding the resort were also quite the sight to see, as were the multiple dolphin sightings at the rear of the resort. The pool was crystal clear, heated and very clean. The only issues we encountered were very minor and weigh nominally on this review. Our shower head seemed to have a mind of it's own by spraying multiple directions due to some hard water build up in the shower head jets. When I adjusted the water flow to a more powerful stream, it worked fine and I just had to adapt to a thinner, high-pressure stream. The other notable issue that may also require 10 mins of attention by the maintenance tech, would be to adjust or replace the toilet lever. In order to accomplish a full flush, the handle had to be held down for approx. 3 - 4 seconds, rather than a press and release. Lastly, in the front guest bedroom, the ceiling fan was off-camber and made a significant humming noise, no matter the speed. Once again...minor issues. The service provided to my family and I, by Leslie, was nothing short of wonderful. Leslie is the main property manager and seems to do it all on the grounds. She was awesome. So awesome, as a matter of fact, we took her down some homemade taco soup, prepared by my wife the evening before. We felt genuinely welcomed and valued the entire time we stayed. We will be back and we will be staying at Westwinds once more. This place was great!!! Thank you! SCORE: 4.5 STARS!!

The views are beautiful, and the location is right on the beach. There are plenty of spaces in the lobby for working, plenty of meeting rooms (or ball rooms if you're there for a formal event), and areas to just relax or work. The resort provides live music various days of the week as well. I will say that I was surprised about the lack of dining options. There is a lobby bar (which doesn't open until 3pm), and just two restaurant options. Maritana is only open a few days a week and not open until 5:30pm, although the lobby bar does serve a few small plates. The Society Table has a bar within their restaurant (Rowe Bar I believe), and I experienced both as they both have different menus. The lobby bar menu is small but great; the Wagyu Sliders and charcuterie board were both delicious. The wine list is fairly extensive as well. I dined at the society table for lunch on the day that I left and I got the Gumbo with jalapeño cornbread. This was very delicious; I do feel there should've been more than a few pieces of chopped up shrimp. My waitress was wonderful though and very kind as well as the hostess. For the days we were provided food by the resort for the work conference, I was very impressed! All of the breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were incredibly extensive, fresh, and delicious. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The room service menu although overpriced and included a $5 "delivery charge," is very extensive and tasty. For example, an omelet with toast (small salad included with the omelette), was almost $60 including tip. That being said, it was the best omelette I've ever had. The guest services for room service and the cleaners were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Evan! Do note that this is a cashless resort. There are a few shops on the first floor for souvenirs, basic necessities for traveling, and then an adorable little shop/café with ice cream, coffee, wine, snacks, and drinks. On to the room! I really enjoyed my room. I feel like for one person or even two, it's a pretty spacious room. The bed was very comfortable as well as pillows. They cleaned my room each day, and provided new towels. The bathroom was clean and a decent size for one person. All of the events that the hotel put on for our conference were outstanding. We had a welcome party and a beach party, and I was incredibly impressed. The food was delicious, the staff incredibly attentive and kind, and the music wonderful! The Don CeSar was the perfect place for our conference and I would highly recommend a company conference there. Between the delicious food, impeccable service, beautiful resort, and location right on the beach, I would recommend this spot for an event, quick getaway, or staycation.

The service in this hotel is very good overall. The pools and the beach are superb. We chose this resort as a special anniversary vacation, and this is part of the lower review. We ultimately felt the hotel discount promotion and phone sales was misleading. Ambiguous communication led us to believe we would receive a free night, however we later realized and were told that the discount was already built in to our price, although no sign of discount was found anywhere on our invoice. I'm self employed and I've managed business for 35 years, and I've not seen discounts that don't show on an invoice. Se beware of promotional discount offers as it may not be what you expect, and you'll be left with no way to disprove the phantom discount because it's not on your invoice, apparently is just spoken. Overall service was very good. We had a minor blip in the maritana, which was the wrong dessert brought to us, and presented as "happy anniversary" with a chocolate that said that, but was strangely charged to us. The waitress handled it like a pro. I would advise the chef to either ignore birthdays and anniversaries and that sort of thing, or offer a small free dessert. But definitely don't bring out a "happy anniversary" dessert then charge for it. Also had overcooked hard poached eggs at the society table - no big deal just no runny yolk. If not for the price, who cares? But with such a great menu and fantastic chef, they should get eggs right. No discount offered. But I ate it so... All of our food was great, and really well developed and complete dishes as if it were Michelin rated. Cheers to the chef. Just two very minor fails. Overall it was a nice stay but we won't go back mainly because ultimately they didn't step up over a $600ish discrepancy over a 5 night stay. Look at my reviews. It's very rare I don't write 5 stars. I'm not one of those people that gives a bunch of bad reviews. The highlight of this resort is the beach, the pools, and the menu. Service is good overall. So definitely some good.
