Honestly, I had no clue what to expect when I walked in there. I was also an exhausted mother of a newborn so I'm sure I was a sight to be seen. Lauren has the studio set up for a queen. Seriously, somehow she has created an area that makes you few pampered while your little one gets photographed. She even said I could close my eyes and nap if I needed to! Loved that. As for her pictures, in that first session, she somehow captured my newborns sweet personality with each shot. I was floored by her gentle way with my son and I immediately wanted more pictures. I scheduled Lauren to take pictures of my son over the course of the year-3 month, 6 month, 9 month and his cake smash (as well as family photos during the year). I contacted C.A about prices and packaging (since we were also interested in engagement photos). I was surprised to 1.) Get a prompt response from an ACTUAL PERSON, 2.) learn of C.A's GREAT pricing! I asked for a portfolio, and for the first time in the process of looking for a photographer became EXCITED about a vendor. For both our engagement and wedding pictures, my husband and I both had relaxed. It was such a relief to know I could depend on the photographers and not worry about them being reliable. Everything from the first email to the wedding day was a pleasant experience. The correlation with Marisa was easy and my husband and I both feel like we made a friend out of the experience. Working with Shannon was one of the easiest and stress free photo sessions we have ever done as a…read morefamily. She is quick to respond to questions, kind, and great at directing both parents and children in a friendly way that produces AMAZING photographs. During the session, I was free to only worry about myself looking at the camera, and she was able to work with my kiddos to get them to do the same. We used her twice this year, once for my daughter's one year photos and again for a family session on Kyle Field. Both sessions are unique, do not feel "formulaic", and it is apparent when you are working with her that she desires to give you the absolute best in her time and talent. When we received our gallery of images, they are truly some of the best pictures of our kids and family that we have ever had. Our pictures on Kyle Field equally showcased our family and the amazing new facility. We purchased prints, canvases, as well as some of the limited edition holiday gift items and are nothing short of impressed with the quality and attention to detail. The canvases are beautifully done, with great attention to each detail of the photo. The prints are well above what you can get from the drug store around the corner and for our mini-accordion albums, we got a full proof before it went to print that allowed us to see exactly what we were getting.
