Worth every penny! We are purchasing our first home ever, and it can be terrifying. You do your best when you view the house. You walk through and notice some dents and other surface damages. The house seems pretty good, and you make an offer on the house. Great! These surface/cosmetic damages are not what is essential, and you realize that after you make the offer. That is when it gets really scary, and you don't know what you are going to be spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on. We were told by our parents, "Never go cheap on a house inspector." We saw the solid review on Yelp and decided to call Final Analysis. I spoke with Dan, the owner, first. He gave me his undivided attention and answered all of my questions. He understood it was my first home and made feel at ease that he was going to find out exactly how good a condition of the house was. Dan was professional, knowledgeable, and down to earth. He explained that he worked for me and not the realtor or loan company. He also told us there is not a good, better, and best home inspection package. Final Analysis was going to give it there all for a fair price. We also were not required to pay until after the inspection and we were 100% satisfied. If we were not, we would be offered a full refund with no questions asked. I called back to schedule the appointment and spoke to Adam. Equally as professional and knowledgeable as Dan and gave me the same information and price. On inspection day, Zach came arrived before we did and started right away on the inspection. He, like Dan and Adam, was professional & knowledgeable. He was focused on his job, but encouraged us to walk with him and answered questions as we went along. He pointed out things along the inspection and continuously took photographs and videos. He looked at things that I would never even think to look at and inspected things that I had specific questions on. I laughed when he started pulling out the gadgets during the inspections (collapsable ladders, thermal imaging, microwave radiation detectors, and moisture level meters). I never knew they had those types of things and was impressed he was ready for everything. In the end, Zach gave us a decent rundown of the house and said he would have the report on the website in 4 hours. Folks, this is where it is worth it. I have never seen a report so detailed in any profession. Two of my family members that are house inspectors were blown away at the level of detail and photographs of the home. The report is easy to use and has a checklist feature that allows you to determine what type of things you want to be fixed. We used the report and repair request to send to our realtor, and he was blown away as well. We found about $10,000 worth of immediate need items to be fixed to include moisture issues, crawlspace damages, and drainage issues. With the level of detail provided the sellers knew they had some repairs on hand. Lastly, we received followup phone calls, the opportunity to discuss the report further, general recommendations on repairs, and a handwritten thank you note in the mail. This is the most amazing inspection company I have ever worked with! They were courteous, informative, prompt, and thorough. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dan, the owner, and Reuben, a key inspector. Final Analysis Home Inspections actually conducted two home inspections for me within about two weeks. The first home had numerous issues that were apparent, and Reuben found more! When we went to the sellers to ask for additional funds for repair of the additional issues Reuben found, the deal fell through because the sellers refused to repair the issues or offer funds for me to repair them. So, I found another home for purchase, and of course, I chose Final Analysis to conduct the inspection on the next house too. Dan was great to speak with on the phone and to communicate with by email. I hope this helps someone avoid the frustration and stress I've been dealing with. Lesson learned: never rely on a pest control company for your termite and moisture inspections. Over the years, we've used three different pest control companies for our home, which is 4,200 square feet. My biggest issue? Every technician spent less than 10 minutes inspecting under the house, and every time, their report was the same: "Everything looks good." Last year, one company even noted on their report, "Client isn't happy with the amount of time we are spending on the inspection." This year, they came out again, spent less than 10 minutes under the house, and repeated, "Everything looks fine." Well, everything wasn't fine. I knew it wasn't because our living room floor was about to collapse. That was the breaking point for me. I decided to fire the pest control company and look for a licensed home inspector who also specializes in termite and moisture inspections. That's when I found Final Analysis Property Inspections They sent two inspectors who spent over three hours thoroughly inspecting our home and identified the source of the issue, along with some minor repairs we need to address. They provided a detailed report, complete with photos, and even gave me peace of mind. I first used Final Analysis on my first house in 2012 and was blown away by the attention to detail, the dedication to quality work, and the expedient service, both in the detailed work that the team does and the turnaround time for the report. I was so happy with my experience, it was a no-brainer to use Final Analysis whenever I was considering a property. As I write this, Final Analysis is inspecting my 5th property and I can feel the stress of home-buying already lessened because I know they will do a great job identifying any potential problems or current deficiencies so I can know as much as possible about the property to make informed decisions. As a first time homebuyer, I was unsure of what to expect for the home inspection process, but the team at Final Analysis was absolutely fantastic and made me feel at ease during the entire process. I was able to make an educated decision on whether to move forward with the home buying process on the property and I feel very satisfied with the decision that I did make because of how thorough and professional they were during my appointment. They are super detail oriented, professional, always available no matter what questions I had and extremely thorough with their inspection and report. The entire process from scheduling the appointment to the morning of the inspection was streamlined and painless. On the day of the inspection Anthony was very helpful in the entire home inspection process and gave me a very detailed debrief explaining all of his findings. Dan, the company owner was on his way by from another inspection and even stopped in to introduce himself. A few hours later i recieved an extremely detailed report of not just important items that i may want addressed but also many overview pictures of every area of the property as well as general information such as ages and sizing of all equiptment (i.e. hvac, water heater, ect). My husband Don and I contacted the folks at Final Analysis to do a presale inspection of our home of almost 30 years. We have recently retired and have decided to move into a smaller house in a more rural mountainous area of Virginia. We made an appointment that was scheduled for Tuesday February 27 at 9. Anthony arrived about 10 minutes early so he could speak to my husband and I and explain what he would be doing. He was quite personable and patient with any questions we had about the process. My husband and I were ready to purchase a home in Virginia Beach; all that was left was to get an inspection. We were offered to use an in-house inspector from our buying agent, but we decided to use an inspector of our own. We saw many great reviews, and we decided to give this company a chance. Dan from the company did our inspection for us and he did not disappoint. I would say Dan went above and beyond. They found 33 problems with the house, all which came with videos with explanations of each the problems. The problems were even separated into categories of normal findings, actionable findings (critical), and maintenance findings. To put the cherry on top, they even took the time to discuss their findings in addition to the report. The inspector comments were very detailed and included health hazards and possible dangerous situations. There were even recommendations on whether or not something needed to be replaced - there were high risk and low risk comments as well. What is important is that Dan and Anthony make you feel like they are truly looking out for you and your family. They go over every little detail and don't skim or skip things. This is important when buying a new home. It's so important to have an honest company like this, especially when making a big investment. I can never say enough nice things about Final Analysis! They saved me from making a huge mistake on House #1-which also helped shed light on a dishonest realtor). I received an even more thorough inspection of House #2! It is absolutely worth the cost! Here is the thing I appreciate most about this company: their totally unbiased inspecting. First of all, our family was just looking for a quality home inspection company to assess our property to find out both the good and bad in preparation for listing it on the market. Like everyone else we started looking at online reviews to check out potential inspection companies. There was a company with a perfect 5.0 rating that had over 1K some reviews and ZERO complaints so we had to check them out, Final Analysis Property Inspections. I couldn't be more pleased with Final Analysis Property Insp. and their employee Emily Washington. Emily was extremely thorough when inspecting my home...top to bottom...side to side...crawling in crawling out. She took detailed notes, including videos, explaining her findings and analysis along the way. Turns out her dad was an electrician and she grew up helping work in and out of houses and has a lot of institutional knowledge! She took even more time after her inspection to explain anything I was concerned about. I felt like I was being taken care of like I was her family...truly. Funny enough, her vehicle's tire deflated while she was inside inspecting and the company's owner swung by to replace it...he was great too! Didn't have to, but he walked around the house for second and we chatted...an owner taking this much time and taking care of his employees gave me a great impression. Just a solid team all around. In fact, I closed a few weeks ago and am still referencing the report now as I repair my house...so detailed and clearly laid out. This company should be the model for all home inspection companies. We have bought and sold multiple homes, but this is without a doubt the best inspection and report we have ever gotten. Right from the beginning while speaking with the owner, I knew I had reached out to the right company and it sure did not fail my expectations. Although the house to inspect was further than the VA beach area where they are located at, the owner was kind enough to schedule the inspection in Yorktown and I did not even have to wait but one day. Our inspector Zach came early and ready to do his job, he was well prepared and made sure to keep the area clean as well. He climbed on the roof, and also used an infrared to check the walls. After the inspection was completed Zach took the time to explain to us his findings and answered all the questions we had in a manner we could understand. I would 100% recommend Final Analysis Property Inspections to any of my friends and family. For some background, I wanted to hire an inspector to do an inspection of our home about 6 months before we rent it. I was willing to pay top dollar for someone who would give me great service and a full report; spoiler alert, 100% satisfied! Anthony was very easy to speak with and asked great questions about our concerns, what we wanted out of the inspection, etc. They were very easy to schedule, and even provided text reminders. We are in the process of buying our first house so this whole process is new to us. I've never had a home inspection done before so I was a bit nervous. We had our appointment set up for 9 on Friday morning. Of course, they were there a few minutes early so they were off to a good start in my book.
