Convenience: 5/5 A commute with a streetcar is no problem on Queen. If you're driving, good luck. Service/cleanliness: 5/5 Stella was my artist and she made me feel comfortable being it was my first ever tattoo. She had showed me her renditions of my inspiration and listened to my feedback. The parlour itself is beautifully renovated and decorated with witty figurines. Washrooms could be better but meh. Skill: 4.5/5 Stella is hands down a professional. We communicated through IG and booked an appointment within hours. Didn't give it a full 5 because apart of my tattoo wasn't up to my satisfaction. They say you need an average of 6 treatments every 2 weeks and then once a month for up keep. The first aesthetician/student I got wasn't very informative and didn't talk much. The second time I went I got Casey, who let me tell you girl, is GRREAT. You know when you search forever to try and find a hairdresser who you vibe with and does a great job? That's Casey. She became my micro girl after my second treatment. She was very informative and down to earth. We get along so well and she always does a great job. I'm super sad she is graduating and I will have to find a new person to do my up-keeps once a month. However, I'm glad I got the majority of my treatments from her. Most people don't know, but the Humber spa is open to anyone. Their prices are AMAZING. Micro is only $60! Sometimes they go on special for $40! Can you find any other spa that offers these kinds of prices? I know some people might be skeptical because they are students, but these are students in their final semester ready to graduate. The info is fresh and they also have supervisors guiding and watching over them. The best thing is that the facility is CLEAN. You can guarantee that. That's something that's really important to me. TIP: If you find an aesthetician that you like, it's totally okay to re-book with them! They actually encourage that, so students know what it's like to get repeat clients. Also, there is no tip option on the machine when you pay. It's not expected, but if you do want to tip, it's cash only. One last tip, even though they only accept CASH TIPS. they ONLY take debit, credit or gift cards as a form of payment. Totally recommend everyone to try out the Humber Spa. I am going for my final treatment in 2 weeks and my face looks AMAZING.

You have to keep in mind that these are students so it takes a little longer than going to a regular spa, but it is cheaper too. Don't forget to tip, the students don't get paid for their work at the spa, so tipping is especially important. I will be back, I really enjoyed the procedures, and the same day service was a really nice touch.

She walked me through the entire removal process using saline, explaining the healing stages and setting realistic expectations. She shared that some people need two sessions, others three and in my case, it took two. Throughout that entire process, she was patient, incredibly precise, and fully in tune with her work. I never once felt rushed. She gave me her full attention every single visit. Once the removal was complete, she started fresh. A clean slate. She carefully mapped and drew my brows first so I could clearly see the shape, size, and color before anything was done. That level of care and collaboration meant everything. We then moved into the first session, followed by my touch up 8 to 10 weeks later. What truly stands out is her consistency. Even during my touch up, she remained just as meticulous, methodical, and detail oriented. She does not cut corners. She does not rush. She treats your face like a piece of art. Her customer service is honestly some of the best I have ever experienced and I do not say that lightly. I am very particular, very detail driven, and not the easiest person to please. Marcie actually trains other people for a company and has been doing this for quite a while. One of her fav procedures tho is colouring aureolas for survivors or if you just want a change. She also does eyeliner tattooing, tat removal etc. Marcie maps out your face, similar to what a plastic surgeon would do. She spends a lot of time, measuring and then drawing in the brows before starting the microblading. She can adjust them if you want them a little flatter or more arched or thicker etc, but she knows her stuff and little adjustment is needed. I felt confident knowing what the finished product would look like before she started blading. I just finished the second of my 2 part microblading sessions. My hair is white as are my brows, so I decided to micro-blade. I usually just tint my brows, but I have less hair now to tint. The micro-blade results are fantastic, and I am leaving my brows white, the result is a salt 'n pepper effect. The procedure was pretty much painless, it feels like a pin scratching your skin, and Marcie uses a topical anesthesia on your brows. The healing process was trouble-free just keep the new brows moisturized with a cream that Marcie supplies.

I made a same day appointment with Bianca for a classic set, I had some technical issues trying to book the appointment on my phone so they sorted it all out for me and booked the appointment. I came in for my appointment sat in the waiting room while filling out all the necessary paperwork. Bianca was the lash tech and she was super patient and didn't rush! They definitely take their time in order to ensure everyone who leaves loves their lashes. They specialize in putting a lash on each and everyone of your natural lashes so they don't cheap out like some other salons that limit the lash amount per eye. Over the next 2 weeks next to no lashes fell out I'd say I probably lost less then 20 lashes which is totally normal with your natural lashes! I booked a fill appointment 2 weeks later and came in to get my lashes filled again with Bianca and she did an amazing job filling once again! I left and my lashes look amazing! Super full and fluffy. And I know they'll be on for a while. Like with most things I find you get what you pay for, so yes although they may be an investment just know if you go to BxD lash you'll walk away with the best lashes, the best service and having the best quality products available used!
