I received great customer service when I visited Finisher's Warehouse. The team provided me with great information on my cabinet staining project, and they even tested stain colors on the door I brought with me. It was immensely helpful to see the way the wood took the color. The store also carries quality products! They removed my review on their google page, that's unfortunate. You could resolve this review by providing better service, not by sweeping it under the rug. Brought a piece in to have color matched. They call me a week later and it's ready. I drive there to pick it up and they have my order - the stain and 3 cans of lacquer aerosol. I ask how the lacquer aerosol is involved. The workers sort of look around and shrug. They grab someone from the back who says I'm supposed to use it as a base, and then stain over it. "You wont need much", he said, as I explained its 12" long, "would 3 cans be enough?" Okay, sure. I get home and attempt to do that and the stain won't adhere to the lacquer, but clearly in their test piece you can see there is a white base. I call them, tell them my process and they tell me the aerosol lacquer isn't part of the stain match... So why did they sell it to me as part of it? They don't know. Why did they tell me it's part of the stain match when I was there? They don't know. The person on the phone informs me that they did the stain match and the stain is all I need to achieve the color. But then they tell me there is some wood bleach that's supposed to be part of it? But before they said the stain is the only thing I need for the color match. That makes no sense. At the same time I purchased a very expensive 2k Renner clear coat system. As I sprayed it, it looked like it was "frosting" my pieces that I was spraying - meaning there was a white textured haze on the surfaces that were sprayed. Weird. I call and ask about it and they have no idea what the problem could be... That's great... It only costs me $450 for the system you recommended and $160 for the spray gun, and you offer no diagnosis of what the issue could be? Okay. I figured it was a fluke so I went again to buy supplies. I order ez vinyl white and pre cat white. On my way out I'm told I only need the ezvinyl white for what I'm doing. Why didn't they tell me that before I checked out? Whatever, I'm sure I'll use the pre cat white lacquer in the future. Well, 4 days have passed and I used the ezvinyl white with great results, but ran out. Oh! I have that gallon of pre cat white. I open it up! And.... It's not white. It's like a 90% transparent white. It's a 50 minute drive from me. This gallon costs $55. The 3 cans of aerosol lacquer that I didn't apparently need cost me $30 + tax. This place is a disaster in terms of their staff. They are all in different pages. No one seems to have a good grasp of what's going on. This place will take your money and sell you things you don't need. They won't fulfil the orders of what you actually need. The two women that work there seem to be attentive and caring - they are great. Won't be going here again. Plenty of Painters Warehouses around that won't screw up my orders every time I go there. Also, not a good look to leave your Glock on your work desk, which is immediately visible when you enter the store. It's extremely irresponsible and unprofessional. Hide it. UPDATE: Despite all of that, I went back, again. I felt that maybe it was just a few strokes of bad luck and maybe this time it would work out. I was hoping to write a better review this time, but unfortunately they made it even worse. What I originally liked about this place was they would take me in the back room and show me how to spray a certain finish, let me sample the stain on a piece of wood I'd bring in. I was needing to do that on this trip, and was hoping this would be a trip of their redemption - to move on from the prior mistakes. I was told by Dylan I could return the lacquer that didn't get colored. Dylan wasn't there when I went to return it, some other young guy was. He said it was opened like that was a problem. Of course it was opened, that's how I figured out it wasn't colored like it was supposed to be. This is also the same guy who didn't color it the first time. Maybe he remembered? Whatever, he allowed the return. But what I really liked about Finishers Warehouse, was that they always allowed me to test stains on sample pieces of wood that I would bring in. This is what was going to bump my rating up to 3 stars. However, that same young guy tells me "we don't do that". Well we did that 2 weeks ago when I came in. We did that 3 months ago when I came in. We did that 4 months ago when I came in. We did it 4 times, now you don't do it? How am I supposed to know its the right color if I can't try a dab of it on the wood I brought in? Samples are only on red oak and maple - hardly the color of white oak, cherry, etc. "I'll allow it this one time" he says. Wow, okay, thanks. He then proceeds to put a cotton ball size dab of stain on the sample. I didn't need a full 6' piece stained, but idk, maybe 5"x5" would be nice. Now I won't be buying anything at all from you today and won't be back. So much for customer service. Don't get upset with me that you messed the orders up and I left a review. read more

Great Staff here. You have questions? They have the answers. Been a long time finisher and there's always something (many things) I do not know. In the 30 minutes I was in the store... 3 store workers came out, greeted me and made sure when I walked out that door I had immense knowledge of the product I was buying. Friendly and knowledgeable staff with a quick turn around on fulfilling orders. They are able to answer questions and suggests products that will create a great finish, even for a do it yourself home owner. So glad I found them in my area. read more
