While I appreciate the resolution and communication at the end, the overall experience was mixed due to earlier challenges and some coordination issues between teams. Overquoted a small job by $2,200. I requested a quote for installing a 21 sq ft. one piece fireplace hearth. They quoted me $3,000 for fabrication and installation, not including purchase of the stone. Next company gave me a quote for a little less than $800 for fabrication and installation. read more

Jonathan from MAJ Countertops gets 5 plus stars. We have been working with him for a couple weeks to select quartzite for our huge kitchen island. We wanted something more dramatic than our white quartz. Jonathan met with us at various stone stores to point out what size slabs we needed and what slabs were of better quality. We selected our quartzite slabs and when they arrived at MAJ Countertops, he refused them. He called and said there were many fissures in the slabs and 8 out of 10 times they would break apart. They could be repaired, but with the leathered slabs we chose you would see the shiny repair material. Jonathan apologized multiple times. Are you kidding me? We were so thankful he was meticulous in looking out for us! So...we went shopping again. Back to Arista where they graciously moved slabs around for us to make our best choice. Jonathan taped off our chosen quartzite so we could visualize the final product. We were told no other fabricator meets with clients at showrooms, gets slabs moved around, and steers clients toward a finer finished product. And ta-da, here it is... read more

One of the most professional installers I have dealt with--he is courteous, prompt, keeps his appointments, takes pride in his work and is open to negotiation--what's not to like! I was dead set on a really "fat" thick countertop and island--that's just what I wanted. Other installers told me that they "weren't able to do a thick countertop with my chosen 3 cm slabs." I found out that this is not true. It is possible, but it's more work! This guy and his crew are not afraid of hard work! He will do his best to deliver! We are very pleased with the end results.
