Just quality items without the sticker shock. Best of all, the advice we received from the owner, who has been in business for 50 years, was invaluable. We would not have come close to getting the advice or what we needed from another retailer. Roberts closes for the winter but is opened Spring through Fall. The place is crowded with all types of lights - hanging, chandeliers, lamp posts, wall lights, in door lights, outdoor lights, weather resistant lights, etc. Go there to get ideas and talk to the knowledgeable staff. It's pretty expensive stuff but that's because it's high quality and many are made in the area. They also have a bathroom and will let you use it (unlike the Visitors Center/Chamber of Commerce!)

I took a ride to their facility in Exeter, NH to look at samples of available finishes. I was greeted by a very pleasant and helpful woman who worked up front. She showed me examples of available finishes and introduced me to their Operations Manager, Dustin Almon. Dustin was kind enough to take me for a tour of the facility. I was fascinated by the machinery, number of staff, and detailed processes by which the fixtures are designed, assembled, polished, inspected for quality, and shipped. I worked with Dustin to design an exact replica of my oversized lamps, which took roughly 10-12 weeks to complete. John Phelan, the Custom Team Lead, communicated their progress regularly and shared pictures of the new fixtures. I could not be more satisfied with the quality, construction and overall look of the new lamps. The artistry, craftsmanship, commitment to excellence, and exceptional customer service is impressive. We just don't see this anymore! It was great to support a small, local business, and to receive a quality fixture that was truly "Made in the USA"! Mike came for the first round to work with our contractor to discuss the needs of the new kitchen, including GFI updates, kitchen island outlets and pendants, new LED recessed overhead lights, and under cabinet lighting and floor heating. They also made recommendations based on new codes coming into play over the next couple of years so that we would be compliant. That kind of attention to detail was most welcome. John, the Master Electrician who came to the house later, easily guided two young apprentices over 2 days of full-on work. John was amazing, listening to my questions, assisting me in last minute decisions, and making certain the customer was happy. John was very insistent in making sure we were happy and pleased with their work. His knowledge and background was priceless while I worked through the list of my wants and needs, he was very patient too, as I asked endless questions. They put in long days and protected our home while working cleanly and efficiently.
