The food was not fresh, soggy chicken kiev that looked like someone had eaten some of it before I got it. Awful, yesterdays veg, wet broccoli that was still hard , turnip so hard it would break a tooth. Baby potato cut in half one half soaked in oil and black lol what is this place .....even in the pictures online the food looks awful and I'm so annoyed I didn't check out the pictures first. Horrific. My son got a burger with some weird liquid that flowed out and soaked the bread. Chips were deep fried like twice and oily and it was so bad Ive never seen it as bad. Came with my family while on vacation. Multiple locals suggested Finnegan's and the food exceeded our expectations! We ordered the chicken curry, chefs salad, roasted chicken and fish and chips. Decided to go with the salmon on this one. Was definitely not disappointed. Everything about the entrée was delicious and pleasing. If you get a chance to check out Finnegans make sure you give it a try. You will not be mad at all. The breakfast as well as the dinner was super on point and there was nothing to complain about. Service and Ambiance was very good. The Brie was outstanding steak sandwich a little tuff, but good flavor.

I wanted to pick no stars or less my family wanted to book my sons christening here went into the restaurant to book two weeks ago - met by a nice young man who said they had a booking later on that day but that there should be enough space for both parties but to email right away before we left the car park - we sent the email then and there one week passes and we hear nothing we ring the number and "Dave" was supposed to get back to us and to email again and he definately will get back to us then another week passes and numerous phone calls and email later we decide to call in and just ask for a update if they had said no we would have looked else where as they already had a booking a young girl comes up and asks if we are okay and we ask about booking the event we have emailed about and she tells us to email and we say we have this already done multiple times is there a manager we can speak to She bring us over to a "manager" who is already sighing as we walk over we explain our suituation and he says he "got wind of that this morning alright" we say great so is there any update a yes or no He says he will have to ask "Dave" but he will call us later We have waited long enough we asked if he could ring him now and get an answer if it's yes or no He begrudgingly does it The same waitress who walked us over then comes back and asks what did we have to complain about? The "manager" then tells her that we are still standing there and she scurried off to the kitchen He then gets a txt message from Dave that it's a no We then ask why Dave did not email us back a week ago with the no the "manager" then decides to let us know that he is only there a month and it's not his fault with all of their awards for customer service on the wall I find it hard to believe thats the very best they can offer read more

What a let down. When I would come home to limerick always went here for dinner and also breakfast with my wife and kids. Home to Ireland on this trip on my own and took my mother and 2 other family members for lunch on a Sunday. Service was HORRIBLE when I got up after we had sat there for 20 minutes with empty plates infront of us and asked the manager, he got an attitude with me for asking why the server SUCKED. Food - salty mash, over cooked sirloin of beef, chowder with almost no seafood. Only part that was with out fault was the sticky toffee pudding. I don't come home to Ireland very often any more but when I do I won't be back that's for sure. read more
