I'm always blown away by their fantastic food, great ambiance and friendly & attentive staff. Some of my favorite dishes and breads are: Potato Samosas - Cilantro chutney and tamarind date chutney. Chicken Tikka Masala - Makhani sauce and fenugreek. Kerala Lamb - coconut, curry leaf and tumeric. Beef Korma - Roasted onion, cashew and cardamom. Garlic Naan - Pumpkin seeds, soft wheat, flaxseed, sunflower seeds, brushed with garlic ghee. All entrees are served with basmati rice. Please note: Reservations are not required, but it does help on the weekends. If you do make reservations, that will require a credit card. Their cancellation policy requires 48 hours notice to cancel if not, a $25 per person cancellation fee will be applied. They also give you a 10 minute grace period, so don't be late! Always a fantastic experience at Ghee! I highly recommend it!

A horrible dining experience at Ghee Indian Kitchen…read more The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. The decor is sophisticated and modern, and the lighting is pleasant, perfect for a date. I also liked that the kitchen is open and integrated with the dining room. However, the service was terrible from the moment I arrived. I had an OpenTable reservation and stood waiting over 15 minutes at the host stand. The host disappeared, leaving me standing awkwardly in the middle of the server pathway while servers carrying trays had to ask me to move. I ordered the tasting menu. The snacks were the best part of the night: * Yellowfin Tuna Bhel: Spectacular, the best dish of the entire night. * Samosa Chaat: Quite good. * Green Papaya Salad: Average. * Charred Corn: Good but nothing special. * Crispy Broccoli: Phenomenal, one of the highlights. * Peri Peri Chicken Wings: Good, especially the sauce. However, after the snacks they made me wait more than 20 minutes with an empty table (the restaurant was half empty) before bringing any main courses. The main courses were very disappointing: * Chicken Tikka Masala: The worst I've ever had. Extremely bland. * Kerala Lamb Curry: Very average and completely flavorless. * Dal Makhani: Decent, the only acceptable as a side. * Turmeric Marinated Fish Curry: Excellent, the only main worth eating. * Seed Naan: Served burnt (they replaced it after I complained). The servers mumbled so badly when explaining the dishes that it was nearly impossible to understand what I was eating. In a tasting menu, having clear and proper explanations of each dish before eating it is very important, and that was completely lacking. I also asked four times for the house spicy sauce to two different servers and it was never brought. To make matters WORSE, when a friend stopped by to say hello and tried just two bites of my food, the staff aggressively confronted and pressured me, insisting that he had to pay for a full tasting menu. Their behavior made me feel like I was being scammed and left me extremely uncomfortable. I went very excited to this restaurant because of the great reviews, but it was a big letdown that completely ruined my date and dinner experience.

We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and got sat right away…read more We had a wonderful lunch and were very pleased with all the different options on the menu. I had the Miami spice menu which consisted of the Chicken 65 starter, Tandoori Shrimp and Kheer Brûlée. The sauce on the chicken had the perfect amount of spice and was so juicy. Along with the chicken we also got vegetable samosas, which were so flavorful and crispy. The tandoori shrimp came with a side of rice and garlic naan and was very delicious and generous in portion size. We also ordered the chicken tikka masala entree which paired perfectly with the garlic naan and was our favorite dish. The kheer brûlée was a perfect way to end the meal; it wasn't overly sweet and the combination of flavor and texture made it a really satisfying treat. To drink we had a mango lassi, which was creamy and refreshing. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, and all of the staff was so welcoming. Our waitress was so attentive and helpful, which truly made our experience great. Overall a delicious meal with a nice variety of flavors. Will definitely come back :)

Their lunch specials are the equivalent of Bento Boxes Indian style. Small portions of carefully seasoned and curated Indian delicacies along with naan, roti, samosa and dessert all for $17. The quality of the food is truly unmatched. The koobideh platter or chicken joojeh platter are typically my first pick; with a side of their salad, rice and sumac sauce, simply made to perfection. You can tell the owners have poured their heart into the business, because the food and the service speak for themselves. Another plus? The pricing. It's so reasonable, I wish more restaurants used great ingredients without charging you an arm and a leg. Absolutely love this spot. If you're thinking of trying it out... consider this your sign.

OK experience eating a ground meat kabob close to our motel…read more Shahs' of Kabob started in 2017, and has expanded to ten locations. It serves halal Persian cuisine in a fast casual environment. This location in South Miami is quite small, with only seating for 10 or so people. One thing we noticed right away was the delicious smell coming from the indoor grill...pretty much told you that the roasted meats were going to be good. I wasn't too hungry so ordered the small plate of Koobideh ($15). The cashier was nonchalant when asked about what to recommend. Once ready, it was brought over to our table. It came with a large mound of saffron rice, which was quite good. A better choice would have been half and half of a small salad with the rice. The koobideh was very similar (even exactly the same to my untrained palate) to a Turkish adana kebab or an Arabic kefta...made with a combination of beef and lamb ground meat, made flatter vs round. It was warmed/cooked over a grill and had that nice char taste that one gets from grilling. I didn't notice there were condiments in ketchup/mustard squeeze bottles until too late...it gives the place a kind of hot dog joint feel which I don't think was the intention.
