**DISCLAIMER: I am a PHYSICIAN myself, but did NOT disclose this in my visit (not until the end). I did not tell his staff I was a doctor so that I could see what kind of treatment I would receive (often, if you tell them you're a doctor, they will kiss your ass). I visited Dr. Hosein on two occasions for general health check ups. FRONT-END STAFF: His front-end staff were helpful, slightly on the informal side, and they helped me find parking in a large facility. SIGNING-IN/WAIT TIME: I arrived 5 minutes late, even though they had asked me to come 15 mins early for my first visit. Still, the front staff were polite, efficient and professional and they even explained patiently what the different forms were for that I was filling out. I was in a rush to get back to my own practice, (I didn't tell them this) and they quickly brought me back for the nursing assessment, vital signs, weight, etc. PHYSICAL OFFICES: The offices were slightly small for my taste, but perfectly clean and professional with useful, health-related posters on the walls. The rooms seemed quiet--I couldn't hear other conversations outside. The bathroom was clean. BEDSIDE MANNER: I waited a further 5-7 minutes before Dr. Hosein came into my room. He was younger than I expected (given his experience), though a very good listener (that is something VERY important in a doctor), and actually had a great sense of humor. He spoke in a clear and soft voice and took notes while taking my health history. He looked up at me as well, maintaining eye contact and seemed like a friendly person. He took a good history, too--I was impressed. PHYSICAL EXAM: The physical exam was thorough, efficient and well done. He explained the reason for doing everything, which I appreciated. I wasn't a 'medically complex' patient, and he spent about 35-40 minutes with me on our first visit, basically getting to know me as a person. It was then I told him I was a doctor and conversation veered towards doctor-talk, etc... OVERALL IMPRESSION: The experience was very positive. I was pleased with his staff, the efficiency of the system, and the physical space. Dr. Hosein was kind, experienced, professional and knowledgable. I will return to him again and--this is a KEY consideration--I would send a member of my family to him. Constructive criticism: there was a long walk from the parking to the office (but it was free), though front-end staff assured me that once the construction was over, it would be easier to park. I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Hosein. I was trying to get a prescription refilled after CVS had already made multiple attempts to contact the office on my behalf. When I finally received a call back, Dr. Hosein spoke to me in a very rude and aggressive tone. He questioned who I was and stated that I was not a patient because he hadn't seen me in a year. I explained that I had been there about a year ago for my annual physical, but the interaction still felt dismissive and unprofessional. At no point was there any effort to review my records or handle the request professionally. I understand that offices have policies, but the way this was communicated was unacceptable. This experience left me feeling disrespected and unsupported. Needless to say, I will not be returning and would not recommend this doctor based on my experience. read more

Horrible office. I had an appointment with Dr. Hosein at 11:45 am. When I got there, they couldn't find me on their system. When they finally did, they said my appointment was at 10: 00 am. So, the assistant lady made the mistake of putting on the wrong time, and told me that I had to reschedule my appointment when I took a day off from work to be there. Not only that. She was very rude, she closed the window at me, cursing, " I DON'T GIVE A F*CK. "... From that point on, I requested to speak to the doctor. He knew I was waiting for him for 1 hour. Guess what? He never came to talk to me. That's how they treat their patients there. The assistant told me he had to go to the hospital when I saw his shadow behind the window. I have been a nurse for 44 yrs. and was in need of a new doctor due to mine retiring. I went to Dr. Hosein. I am very pleased. The office staff is very pleasant and I just loved the persona of Jennifer, the NP. Overall it was a very productive and pleasant experience. They, Jennifer and Dr. Hosein spent plenty of time with me. Even joked alittle. I came out smiling, knowing that I found the right doctor. I will be back. The office appears to be nice and clean. Allow time for several pages of paperwork, if you are a new patient. I, personally didn't mind. Did not wait long, maybe 30 min. as staff returned from lunch. office staff is horrible, you never get an actual person on the phone. then you leave a message and as soon as you hang up you get a text asking is they can help you by text. you text back and get no response. I wanted copies of my file and the rude lady at the front desk said it would be $52.00. $52.00 to get copies of my file. how insane, she has always been rude and I am so happy to see other patients on here saying the same thing. I do not recommend this Dr's office to anyone for the following reasons. I scheduled an annual physical on my first visit I told the front desk lady on check-in that my insurance didnt cover physicals and that I would be paying cash She asked for my ins. card which I thought was routine for a new patient When I went into the room, an assistant said that Dr. Hosein was not available to meet me and that she would do the physical They only asked questions, weighed and did the normal stuff, including blood and urine samples but no EKG. One would assume that you would get results within a week or even two, however I had to call and did not get results for like two months To make matters worse, I got a bill from Quest for close to $900 and another $209 from Dr. Hosein When I physically went to the office to discuss, the office lady in charge of charges was very rude! CHOSE ANOTHER DOCTORS OFFICE AS THESE PEOPLE ARE UNPROFESSIONAL!! read more

I have made 5 visits to this office - it is only because of factors outside my control that I have kept on visiting after the first visit. I'll first begin saying Dr Hosein is ok. He is not bad, but he isn't that great either (doesn't follow up or do due diligence himself). Really if this review was just on him - I'd probably give him 3 stars. However his nurse is deplorable. If one can't understand diagnostic test results one really shouldn't comment on them. She scared the crap out of me with a very wrong interpretation of some results, only for me to later to find out (after much research online about understanding diagnostic test results) that she was as wrong as one can be on interpreting the test results. She also does not respect patient confidentiality. As she discussed my wrongly interpreted test results in the presence of the receptionist. She does not take her responsibilities seriously. I had an appointment with the nurse at 9:00 am. However when I arrived, I found only a locked door and no one to open it - I left 30 minutes later...the office still locked.... Like the CEOs of banks Dr Hosein should have a better understanding of the details going on in his practice. read more

Avoid this Doctor at all costs This Doctor has no sense of urgency and does not respond to follow up after repeated calls. I went in for a minor injury and he recommended an XRAY. The XRAY was faxed to his office and he refused to tell me the results. I called a number of times each day and was on hold for over an hour. The staff claimed the gave him numerous messages but he has still not replied. What a mistake it was for Dr Cheatham to turn over the practice to this individual. Dr. Hosein correctly diagnosed a special condition that no one else diagnosed in three years of consulting. In addition, he arranged for a specialist's consultation for me that same day! I could not ask for more and have already recommended him to others. read more

I was referred by Dr. Cheatham since he moved out of state. The most incompetent staff!! Stay away! Was there for blood work. After waiting for 4 weeks and calling almost everyday for my results, they finally let me know that the sample was submitted too late to the lab and could not be tested! Never did they apologies. Dr. Hosein was the hospitalist assigned to my elderly father when he was admitted to the hospital. He barely took any history, cut us off while answering the few questions he did ask, and did not make eye contact. He became very defensive and rude when questions were asked about what could be done for my father. He rapidly escalated to "you can take your father somewhere else if you want" and "you are wasting my time". He told me that I was "interfering" with my father's care because I requested a consultant(in the field involved with his diagnosis) to help me and my family decide whether or not to intervene on a terminal illness since he has other substantial medical issues. I have spent the last 18 months providing care for my father, and look out for all of his legal, financial, personal,and medical needs as he directed me to do before he became ill. I am the one who took him to the hospital to be assessed. I found him to be insensitive, impatient, and lacking in empathy. To me he seems burned out. read more

This doctor is a POS he was my mother's primary doctor for 14 years out of the blue my mother's insurance company called her and told her that dr. Hussain no longer wanted to be her primary doctor will not treat her anymore which is a violation and is called patient abandonment we recently had another run-in with this so-called doctor Hussain where he was the attending physician at the hospital Broward Health North where my father had recently been taken for taking a fall and injuring his shoulder dr. Hussain was very rude and obnoxious as usual he forced my brother his wife and myself to leave the room while he examined my 85 year old father as he examined my father he did not realize that we were only standing on the other side of the curtain he proceeded to tell my father that he would not be allowed to leave the hospital until he had surgery my elderly father visibly shaken up and upset signed himself out of the hospital and we brought him to Northwest Medical Center where the emergency room doctor and orthopedic surgeon explain to my father and us that surgery is not required for this injury and that they would treat it with a sling and body to arm wrap for this so-called doctor to put that kind of pressure on my father is ridiculous he should have his license revoked read more

I was admitted to the hospital overnight because I thought I was having a heart attack. The experience I went through was terrifying, and I desperately needed answers. All my vitals were normal, but they wanted to monitor me overnight and give me a stress test in the morning. I dealt with an ER doctor, a cardiologist, and several nurses who were ALL tremendous and wonderful. Unfortunately, I was stuck with Dr. Hosein as my "observing" physician. He came to see me in the middle of the night. I was exhausted, and not thinking clearly because I had to wake up to speak with him. I explained everything that had happened, all my symptoms, and because it was early January, I told him that I may have had a little too much over New Year's (you know, like the REST OF THE WORLD!!!) I told him every little detail I could think of, including my extreme premenstrual pain that requires me to take vicodin (that I have a prescription for, of course) and I told him in detail about my blood clotting disorder, and explained how carefully I manage my health, by testing my own blood weekly or more frequently if necessary. I told him everything, every detail, because I wanted to find out what the hell had happened to me. It's possible I rambled a bit, because like I said, I was exhausted. They had also given me ativan, to help calm my racing heart. The next morning, when I was discharged, I was eagerly awaiting some sort of assessment of my condition, some information, anything. The nurse brought me Dr. Hosein's discharge instructions. They were: "SEEK DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE COUNSELING." He talked to me for 15 minutes and wrote me off as a middle-aged junkie. His discharge instructions set me off into another panic attack (which, I'm guessing, is what had happened to me). I am a social drinker, and I take vicodin to control monthly hormonal fluctuations because I can't take hormones with a blood clotting disorder. I am NOT addicted to it. In fact, my tox screens for opiates, marijuana, cocaine, etc. etc. etc. all came back NEGATIVE. This doctor is a cold, misogynistic asshole who doesn't give a shit. Avoid him at all costs. read more
