    Cannot say enough good things about the service, display and flexibility from this catering company at Sunstone winery. Stacy from Fire to Fork was soo wonderful to work with!! She went over and beyond with her display and checking in on all our needs from the minute we walked in. The olives, fruit, sandwiches .. everything was delish!

    Hors d'oeuvres

    I reached out to Stacy after finding her on Yelp to cater my wedding that I was planning myself. Right from our first email I could tell how warm and helpful she was. She sent me all the options for our catering and tailored it to our wedding. Even in the last week we had to up the number of guests and add hors d'oeuvres and appetizers and she did it all so quickly. My guests raved over her food and apps. Stacy truly went above and beyond for me as I didn't have a wedding cake and she arranged a DELICIOUS cake from a bakery nearby and even picked it up and dropped off at venue for me. I can't express enough how happy I am with fire to fork. I've never planned a wedding and her guidance was truly treasured. She is easy to contact and quick to email back. She arranged the times and walk thru with our venue seamlessly. She was amazing. We had to do a lot over the phone and over email because our wedding was in Santa Barbara and we live in the LA area. I highly highly recommend you use fire to fork for your catering needs. They are affordable, amazing people, and they made my wedding special. The pictures I have don't do justice since everyone ate everything so quickly!

    my son in law surprismy daughter for her birthday renting a house for several friends. I decided to have a chef come in and make a birthday breakfast. I sent a message that went to a few different chefs and I decided to go with Fire to Fork. Now that the event is over I am so glad to know I made the right choice. communication with them prior was always pleasant and very satisfying. We had to deal with a couple of different food allergies and I was informed no problem at all. I have received messages from my daughter's friends stating how awesome everything was, from the food to the friendliness of the staff. I even received one that said the best gluten free coffee cake she has ever had. If I am ever in need of a chef in this area again I would absolutely reach out to Fire and Fork.

Communication went smoothly from start to finish. When he arrived, he took safety precautions and kept his distance and mask on (something that I really appreciated). He brought the dinnerware, table decor, and even printed out a nice menu at our request. Food was amazing and I loved that we were able to mix and match from his Farm Table menus. We had the butter lettuce salad (could eat this everyday!), the sweet corn soup (amazing flavors- sweetness of the corn was complemented with a kick of chili oil), the petit filet, and raspberry torte (with a sparkler to make it celebratory!). Every thing was amazing and perfectly portioned. At the end of dinner, he cleaned up which is such an added plus! Mattias is very personable and made the occasion so special. Will definitely look forward to working with him again :)

Kathryn accommodated our request to have dinner on the patio, and her presentation was amazing! Kathryn's warmth and friendly personality extended to the evening of the dinner as well. Kathryn's food was SO delicious!! Everyone gobbled everything up, and my kids couldn't get enough of the tzatziki! The wines that Kathryn chose for the courses paired very well. The fish was soooo good that there was nothing left on anyone's plates! Everything was delicious - shrimp fritter, tzatziki / pita, pomegranate salad, orange roughy with veggies and cous cous, and the chocolate mousse that was so light and yummmmmy! We had the full service meal option, and Kathryn explained all the courses and the wine nicely throughout. Communication was inconsistent, and it was often difficult to get a response. As a bride planning a wedding, you want to feel confident that your vendors are organized, reliable, and prepared. Unfortunately, I never felt that level of confidence throughout the process. After multiple follow-up emails, I reached a point where I considered hiring someone else simply because I was unsure whether my event was confirmed. Payment was requested in full through a QuickBooks invoice, but there was no formal contract or detailed service agreement outlining expectations. I believe implementing a more structured booking process with contracts and automated forms would greatly improve the client experience. On the wedding day, Ashley arrived nearly two hours later than the arrival time she had provided. She arrived while I was getting ready, which added unnecessary stress to an already busy day. As for the food, there were some highlights. The steak was excellent, the prosciutto sandwich appetizer was delicious, the wedge salad was very good, and the chocolate mousse was well received by our guests. However, other dishes missed the mark. The unagi pasta was largely untouched by our guests, and the halibut was bland and lacked seasoning. The steak was served warm, but the mashed potatoes underneath were cold. My biggest disappointment was the level of service. I had expected a fully serviced, plated fine-dining experience, especially for such a small and intimate wedding of only eight guests. Instead, many details felt overlooked. We often had to ask for basic service items, poured our own wine, and even packed some of our own leftovers. Despite specifically requesting that leftovers be saved, a significant portion was discarded. Overall, the experience did not match the level of service I expected for the price paid. While some of the food was very good, the communication issues, late arrival, service shortcomings, and lack of professionalism throughout the planning process overshadowed the positive aspects. I would not hire Chef Ashley again.

However, the very next day she sent me all the information she had researched on it, and also took the initiative to find someone to show her how to work with a wood-fired pizza oven. Because of her research and initiative, she was able to show me via texting and Facetime, how to properly cure the oven a week before the party and then when it came to the actual day of the party, Josie & her assistant came down to cook and put the oven and her newfound wood-fired pizza skills to the test...and everyone LOVED it!!! The pizza was honestly some of the most delicious pizza I've had. And it's all because of the prep work Josie had done before and then when the time came, like a master at their craft, she just let her experience do the rest. And clean-up was a BREEZE!!!!! She and her awesome assistant were constantly cleaning as they were working, so by the time they had to leave, everything was already cleaned up and put away. I am SO GRATEFUL for Josie. She makes my clients very happy and that makes me extremely happy and also, my job that much easier! She is truly one of the best people you will ever work with.
