Hubs ordered the blackened chicken with warm potato salad. This was incredible as well! The potatoes are mini, smashed and then deep fried. I could have eaten an entire plate of them! First, let's start with the Pineapple fried rice, it looked great on the plate and it was and had all the things mixed but the flavor was a 3 out of 10, it was almost as if they didn't salt the food at all which I thought was bizarre but I was hungry so I ate half of it. Now to the general tao chicken, typically this is a very reliable dish here in the states but at this restaurant it felt like someone purchased popcorn chicken from a grocery store and put some fresh veggies on top and added some strange sauce which was a mixture of sweet and sour sauce and fish sauce? The flavor of the chicken was also 3 out of 10 and it was very difficult to chew because the pieces were quite hard. Maybe this was just a bad day for for the server because she didn't even bother bringing me any sauces for my rice, she never returned after dropping off my food and I had to get up and get my own to-go box while she helped other customers. Everything is made to order, so don't expect to whip in really quickly to grab something unless you have called ahead. I found the menu to be a little confusing at first, because until you get up to the counter to order, all you see is the chalkboard with their specials on it. But once I realized how it worked, I got the hang of it. they have daily and weekly specials for breakfast and lunch, as well as daily soups that are made in house!
