But lately there's this girl named Angelina with red curly hair she's not friendly or helpful, very short and almost rude. ATM only. I wasn't sure which line to stand in (other places have diff lines for edibles, vape, etc.) and asked a guy in the other line if that was the only line. He wasn't sure either. After he answered me, a woman behind the counter loudly asked, "Ma'am, do you have a handicap" something. I cant remember what word she used. I replied, "No" and she told me I was in the wrong line. No problem, I'll just go stand behind the other guy. But then she keeps loudly explaining, "I'm JUST saying" blah blah blah. I got it. I was in the wrong line. Maybe some signage would be good? The only sign was one that was in several places saying something like, "You're hot, you're almost there"! Almost all the staff know me and I adore them. They're such great people! They often run 30% off store wide, which is insane! The selection is the best you're gonna find anywhere. The wait time can take a little longer here during peak hours but that's cause they have a huge selection to choose from. I was helped by an older thin lady with tie dye leggings. She was super helpful in getting me what I needed and knowledgeable in the edibles and flower strains I was interested in. It's a sad day, as I will never return to firehouse again. The staff has changed, and apparently so have rules. Now it is a requirement for you to "Pull down your mask so the security cameras can see your face". I've worn a mask EVERY TIME I've gone in (weekly and sometimes twice spending $400+ every visit), and I know lots of the staff by first name, yet they told me for the second time to do this. Funny how COVID is making a comeback, and this is the start of the germy season, and they NOW want you to expose yourself to the coughing and sneezy people? I don't see NOR smell ANY attempts to sanitize ANY area, and NEVER have I seen anyone cleaning. If i could leave a 0 review i would. They took forever to verify my medical card. When I know my card is valid and doesnt expire till next year. Once they said "it worked" they pulled me out of the store and said they needed to "verify my name". It was not only embarrassing but completely unnecessary. I've been going to this dispensary for over a year. I'll start with the good. They are conveniently located with decent prices. They have a large selection, always super pleasant customer service, a line for handicapped individuals, (standing in a line for me causes me pain that lasts at least 2 days due to my many medical conditions), and a couple of very knowledgeable employees. Now the bad. When I say a couple of very knowledgeable employees, I really do mean two. Everyone else who has helped me although they are pleasant and kind, they really don't know how to answer the questions I have about cannabis in general. The place us just way too loud with the music in there that more than often I struggle to hear what the employee is saying because of it. Also, if the music is loud and the employee is looking at the product trying to give me information but their back is turned to me because they don't want to turn back around so I can hear them, I have to ask them to repeat what they said more than twice, they tend to get upset. That's not my fault. Please turn the music down. I do love that you have a parking lot of your own, but please make it one way in and one way it of the parking lot. Often times I find people getting upset at each other in the parking lot. It's as simple as having arrows painted and possibly slanting your parking spaces. My biggest pet peeve about this place is that there is absolutely no way to contact them. I live two hours out of town but I'm in Turlock half the time. On more than a couple occasions, I've ended up at home when I finally try a product and it doesn't work. There is no phone number that you can call to actually speak to someone, let alone leave a message for someone to get back to me. They have no email either. I even tried googling the owner for an alternate way to reach someone but that failed. Oh, I also tried contacting the City of Turlock and they had no contact information for them either. wtf?! I still like going here and can usually find what I want, but I don't mind driving to Empire to get it. They are knowledgeable there and even though they carry a lot less product, it's a quality product and still a decent price. read more
