Beautiful course that went through a major renovation in the past few years. We brought our family out to play during the IFYR in Shawnee. We are golfing cowboys and the staff was great in helping us out all day! They were even kind enough to borrow us a couple drivers when we had a golfing mishap with ours. My husband and daughter went back the very next day and the same kind of treatment. The greens and fairways are beautiful. Carts are top of the line. Great snack bar including a good selection of beer and a full service bar. The course was not too difficult to play for rookies, but having golfed with some serious golfers at work events, I can confidently say it's a great course for that demographic, as well. I have no idea why one reviewer below complains about finding the course. This was our first time there and we drove right up. Maybe she should try Google Maps next time or quite possibly it's just user error. Thank you to the staff at Firelake Golf Course for giving us a great experience during our downtime at the rodeo. The superintendent was a not nice what so ever, don't recommend he was really rude we accidentally cut infront of someone(that was on the hole behind us) we explained nicely he had a complete power trip read more

I cannot recommend this place. Golf courses should not allow 5-somes in the middle of summer. Also, the grill should have more than hot dogs and a premed turkey and cheese sandwich. Sorry, you guys have to do better read more

Whoever the old guy is that is running the place is an ASS! He was provoking our group the whole round and was blatantly lying saying he was seeing things that weren't happening, even went to lengths of calling the tribal police because we were "backing people up". We let the ONE group behind us pass and saw not one other group the whole back 9. This is only a couple of things that he was saying. Overall terrible experience, don't recommend. read more

Very nice course well maintained. Greens were fast but very consistent. Very friendly staff, reasonable rate. I was visiting from out of town played as a single and the pro shop was more than accomodating. The practice greens and drivng range were nice. I would definitely recommend to any other golfer. read more

I'm glad I called before driving out to the Firelake Golf course in Shawnee! Starting Sunday April 17th, the golf course will be going under renovation until June or July and will be closed until then. Fire lake is the only golf course that honors the golf discounts from the Grand Casino Hotel and Resort (FYI). This is 5-star information. read more

Not good. The course is not the easiest to find if you're using Apple maps (don't follow the instructions, it'll take you out into the middle of corn fields on a gravel road - total "Children of the Corn" moment) - and if you live in OKC, definitely not worth the hour drive. I think the place is under construction, so the course doesn't have a club house, instead, you get a worn down mobile home. The grass was WAY to high; the fairways were more like other courses' first or second roughs. Putting was more like a round of ping-pong, as the greens had just been plugged (which is actually not the course's fault, as all of them have to do it at one point or another), but even so, the quality of the grass was still no bueno. On a bright note, the holes were short (I'm a fan of less than 300 yards par 4s) and laid out in a fun manner, but again, the fairway quality was just atrocious. Do yourself a favor and play somewhere else. read more
