They did, however, still believe in water hazards (which can be problematic for those like me who have some difficulties getting loft in your shot). There are 2 18-hole courses: Cimarron National and Aqua Canyon. Cimarron is harder with water hazards coming into play more often. Both are great to play. My favorite is Aqua Canyon. Pros: courses are well-maintained and employees are always pleasant. The KEY pro: it's NEVER busy! You don't have to worry about people crowding you, nor do you have to worry about creeping up on folks in front of you and having to wait. I've never had a problem with getting a tee time on the weekend (either by calling a couple of days ahead or same day). The clubhouse is nice - standard golf course fare. This one does have a kitchen that will make a tasty grilled cheese and tomato sandwich for the vegetarians. Price is pretty much what you would pay (or less) for a course in the city - $105 for 3 rounds of golf and 2 carts. The only con I would list is the drive time (though for me, it's not, as I enjoy road trips (even if they are "mini")). The courses are in Guthrie, so it's about a 30 minute drive from NW OKC, but it's absolutely worth it if you like being able to play at your own pace.

Received my acceptance email while I was out of state and couldn't wait to finish signing up and using the practic range. This is a GREAT course. Ready for any skill level. The course is in outstanding shape as are the practice facilities. I encourage anyone wanting a top flight private course, this is it. You'd expect to pay much more for this guality and I've played some of the best around. They have a beautiful club house, chef rated resturant and bar. Pool, tennis and pro shop...all top shelf. I parked the bus in the casino parking lot nearby. There are lots of things to do inside, and there was a lot of space to do it. Seriously, it could handle a huge crowd with multiple parties happening. There is a lot of space to walk and move. You pay for everything at a central location. The glow in the dark mini golf is 9 holes and has very thoughtfully painted displays. It doesn't look like an elementary student's diorama. There is also a place for someone to have a party gathering inside the glow room. Very cool. There are lots of bowling lanes and pool tables. There is a lazer tag area. I didn't play, but my students had a really fun time. I know there was a group of 15 that played together. The arcade was good, and I appreciated the amount of walking space among the games. It had several driving games and lots of ticket-earning games. One of the air hockey tables was out of commission. All the games required a swipe card, and tickets are saved to the card for redemption later. Food is available. Standard concession stand fare. Employees were helpful and easy to find.
