Unfortunately, this move was very disappointing, especially considering how happy I was with them the first time. The biggest issue was the wardrobe boxes. The move included two wardrobe boxes, and I had also specifically requested a third one because I had a lot of clothing and other items that needed to be moved carefully. However, about three hours into the move, the movers told me that they had not brought any wardrobe boxes at all. I had to leave the move, drive to Home Depot myself, and purchase boxes so we could continue. I ended up spending approximately $120 out of pocket for boxes that should have been provided as part of the service. This was particularly frustrating because the request had been made in advance and the boxes were part of what was agreed upon. The move was initially quoted at 5 hours but ended up taking 7 hours, I had to pay $400 more. Part of the delay was because the movers did not bring the proper tools to disassemble some of the furniture, despite the fact that I had sent pictures beforehand. They had to borrow my tools, which I didn't mind, but they left them all over the place. The travel time was also much longer than expected. The two locations are approximately a 30-minute drive apart, but it took them about 1 hour and 23 minutes to get to the new location. This contributed to the additional labour time and cost, meaning I ultimately paid for two extra hours. At the new place, the furniture was not properly unwrapped or set up. Much of it was simply left wrapped in the protective film, scattered the garbage in the rooms. I understand that moving can be unpredictable and that not every move will go perfectly. However, given my excellent experience with Ninja Movers in 2019, I specifically chose them again because I trusted their service. This time, I ended up paying approximately $120 for boxes that should have been provided, paying for two additional hours of labour, and dealing with several issues that could have been avoided with better preparation. It's unfortunate because I genuinely wanted to have the same positive experience I had in 2019, but this move fell well short of that standard.

I didn't have a lot of stuff to move and I knew it would not take long to go from my house to the storage unit. I was quoted $615 for 2 hours and 45 minutes. The whole moving experience took 55 minutes. The company is refusing to give me back some money stating that I was charged a 4 hour minimum because that is what I signed up for. I was misled by them. My husband and I booked a few days in advance of hiring this company for the second time in four months (we renovated our home and were living in a rental). We were quoted $163/hour for 3 men in July 2018 which was a little more than the $148/hour for 3 men we were charged in March 2018. Unfortunately the company pulled a major fast one on us and the third mover left within the first 15 minutes of the job starting. His departure was not communicated to us by the lead driver, Jay; rather, I asked what had happened to him. The response was that he had pulled a muscle getting out of the truck when they arrived at our rental house and that his sister had "taken him to the hospital for surgery". I asked about the rate we were quoted and Jay assured me that it would be "adjusted" which i assumed meant it would be somewhere closer to $105-120/hour. As an aside, the individual appeared to be in his early 20s and it top physical condition and was easily 15-25 years younger than the other two movers who were assigned. Upon reflection, it appears highly likely that the driver saw the relatively small size of the job and sent the young man away (perhaps a temporary worker as opposed to an employee) so that he and the other mover would benefit from working a longer day, at likely a higher rate of pay. Needless to say, my husband was flabbergasted when Jay told him that the rate for 2 men was $148/hour. The cost of moving in July was almost $400 more than our original move in March even though it was a significantly smaller amount of contents involved as most of our furniture and other items had simply been moved from the 1st and 2nd floor of our existing home into the basement. Furthermore, All-Rite blatantly over-charged us for 5 mattress covers that should have been $6.95 + HST = $34.75 but instead we were charged $61.60. When I contacted the owner of the company to ask for a refund, he advised that "I should call around and find out how cheap their rates are" and that he would not be reimburse me for anything. He then proceeded to hang up on me. We are pursuing this with our bank as we paid with our credit card and are in the process of disputing the charge with the expectation we will be reimbursed for the overcharge. I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU AVOID THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE DISHONEST AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!

Ahmed and his partner arrived a few minutes early which was very helpful and they worked efficiently and were very careful when handling my furniture and boxes and other items like lamps. Moving between condos means having only so much elevator time and they completed the move within the time allotted. This is truly a company that cares and is always willing to help.I had a problem with opening a couple of drawers in one of my dressers - it's an older solid wood one - and I contacted Pari at the office and asked she knew of anyone who might be able to help. She responded immediately and sent someone over to check it out the very next day. Ahmed came and examined and studied the dresser and worked until he finally figured out the problem. The problem seemed to be a result of the extra humidity in my new place which caused the wood to expand just enough to cause a issue. After Ahmed's help, the drawers now open and shut as they should. Booked this company for a two day move with one day overnight storage. Moving out our old condo on…read moreMonday to move into our new condo the next day on Tuesday because we were getting the keys to our new place on Tuesday instead of Monday. Monday's move out went seamless. The movers showed up on time, wrapped all our fragile items and finished the move so quick. Friendly and efficient! Tuesday comes and the lawyers and banks and mortgage company are being so slow in the real estate transaction. We had booked our move for Tuesday in the new place from 3pm to 6pm. Because clearly we'll get the keys by then....WRONG The movers came to the loading dock of the new building and started unloading meanwhile we still didn't have the keys! We explained the situation to our movers and they said they'd unload and fill the service elevator and loading dock so when we get they keys we'll be ready to move! It's now 6pm and the sellers lawyer of our new condo couldn't release the keys because our down payment for the new place from the sale from our old place didn't get to the sellers bank account in time. Since we didn't get the keys the movers had to put all our items back into the truck from the loading docks and take it back to storage. The moving company called and said sorry for this chaos we're only charging you half the price of our storage fees and we can come back and deliver your items the next day in the evening. So now it's Wednesday, the third day of this real estate transaction. 8am goes by, 9am goes by, 10am goes by. Finally just after 10am the lawyer gets us the lockbox combination to access the keys for our new condo. Meanwhile, I'm frantically calling our new building management all morning because they didn't have any timeslots available for the service elevator and if we didn't move our things in that day on Wednesday with the movers the next available timeslot was SUNDAY. I finally get a hold of our condo building management and they gave us the permission to move in later and that they would notify our security to book the service elevator for us. The movers come back in the evening to attempt to move us again into our new condo and we're unloading into the loading dock and we are ready to move our items upstairs finally!! BUT NOWWWWWW..... because why not... The service elevator stopped working. And one elevator is already broken. So now there's only one elevator with a huge line up to get upstairs. And of course, we couldn't shut that elevator down for our move. The security called a tech to come out to fix the service elevator for us and the movers were so chill and so nice and waited with us over an hour for it to be fixed. Also, the company sent three people for this condo move just to move us and make it go as fast as possible because we're already moving in past 6pm (the cutoff time for moving in to our new condo).  Now it's around 8:30pm/9pm and the service elevator started working and we're finally moving in! Unfortunately, this second experience was very disappointing. 1. Damaged Furniture & Missing Parts During the move, my table was damaged and several screws went missing. I was away in Asia at the time, so my boyfriend had to handle everything with the movers. When I returned, I found the table broken and incomplete. When I raised this issue with the company, they responded that none of their workers recalled causing any damage. They also said that since more than 10 days had passed, there was nothing they could do, which I find completely unacceptable. 2. Incomplete Work (Door Not Reinstalled) They also removed a door because it was in the way, but did not reinstall it afterward, which caused unnecessary inconvenience. 3. Extra Cost & Time Due to Their Issue In addition, I was clearly told over the phone that two trucks would be provided. However, only one truck showed up on the day, and they later claimed it wasn't written in the agreement, so nothing could be done. Because of this, the move took significantly longer than it should have. This also forced my boyfriend to rent a U-Haul and complete part of the move himself. On top of that, even though the delay was caused by their failure to provide the agreed number of trucks, they still charged by the hour.
