We had the folks from another company who had been doing the job for years out and it was a disaster, nothing was done. As a result of their outstanding work I signed up for a maintenance contract so now they will be doing the annual service on our fireplaces and our furnace. I had an appointment scheduled for May 21st. When I made the appointment, she said they would call the day before to let me know what time. They did not call. The day of the appointment, I waited until mid morning to hear from them--no call. I called and learned that a technician left early that day and they were unavailable to service us. I suggested that they be proactive and inform the customer and she agreed. She added me to the calendar for the 24th at 8:30 in the morning. Guess what...at 9:00, no technician! I called and Lilly, who had made the appointment, explained that we had not been added to the schedule. My time is too valuable to do business with a company who cannot manage their schedule better. I bought a new fireplace with uogrades for our familyroom. We were given a written warranty "full raplacement parts and labor for two full years." We live across the line in Idaho where they aren't license so they said we would have to get a licensed contractor to install. WE did. The fireplace was defective and wouldn't light. We had to buy a new gas valve. After 8 months of wrestling with them they paid for the part but refuse to honor the warranty on labor even though the fireplace was defective on arrival. There are too many options where to buy. Go Elsewhere. There's no need to buy from people with no integrity. read more

I needed service to my insert fireplace so I call the Fireplace Center. THIS WAS IN SEPTEMBER 2024.....it is now January 4th 2025. Months of different parts and prices. Hasn't work to heat my house.....I have purchased over $400 in space heaters. And still.....it doesn't work. I would NEVER recommend this business , nor their service center. Horrible. I contacted my Attorney on the 3rd. Been in the Gallatin Valley since summer of 1988. And it's really sad to see Montana become what so many left back in the 8o's and 90's......no longer the last best place in America. read more

A lot of business is lost due to the INABILITY of the Fireplace center. Unfortunately they are primarily your only choice and that of your sub contractors. It's hard being in the trade and AVOIDING DOING BUSINESS WITH them IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. Thought was with new ownership things should change IT DID NOT!!! After being ignored on 4 separate, previous occasions, reluctantly TODAY 8/20/24 tried once again Dialed and redialed every extension, & every selectable menu option, NOBODY, NOTHING, on a Wednesday at 10:45? Don't go there over good reviews, there definitely should not be any. Ask the tradesmen. read more

Our fireplace needed parts at our vacation rental last January, and the Fireplace center did the restoration work on our unit. As can be the case with vacation rentals, something went wrong and recently I discovered the flame was nil to none, so when I contacted the team over at the Fireplace Center, they were quick to respond and were able to get it fixed in a jiffy. read more

We ordered a fireplace for our new home. Arrived damaged. We alerted dealer and ask for a replacement. Dealer came back out to install "new" fireplace and it was same damaged model. Had removed and now being told will take two more weeks to get replacement. Dealer will not answer question on why didn't order a new one when first alerted to damage (March 24) or why tried to pass off damaged model as a new replacement. Update. Spoke with owner and while we still have delay on install he did offer a discount which was appreciated. read more

We purchased the most expensive stove (Stuve) on their floor. When it was delivered the delivery men dropped it from truck damaging parts of the stove. Once installed we had continuous problems with the fire liner. After many calls the store owner called and suggest that he repurchase the stove without reimbursing us for install. They ended up sending us bricks for the fire liner for us to install ourselves. All we asked for was the stove we purchased to be operational and were treated poorly. We so not purchase from them again, nor would we recommend them. read more

Nick was great! Completely knew what he was doing. This was my second try getting my gas fireplace fixed. The first place told me I would have to rip up my wall, did nothing, and charged me $100. Nick fixed the issue in mere minutes. read more
