They even have their service on the internet which was nice for when I was on bedrest. The people were welcoming a not pushy. A very middle of the road church.

Immediately after sitting down, I realized that I was in the right place. I felt so touched and inspired, and encouraged to explore my spirituality and connection to God beyond the confines of a Sunday morning. As Christian churches go, they have their religious tenants that tend to put them in the "conservative" camp, but as far as churches go, I do believe that this one is fairly progressive and accepting. Things to expect: messages concretely tied into real life, excellently performed contemporary music - some of it original, overhead presentation of what's occurring on the main stage so everyone can see, occasional use of videotaped messages when the pastor is traveling, coffee before the service and donuts after, and kind people all around.

To me there is no more a beautiful place on God's earth than Trinity Lutheran Church in Soulard. My mother was a very major role player in this church back in the day and her life was celebrated in her funeral at this church in March of 1990! The original church of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and C.F.W. Walthers was this churches pastor for 49 years, as well as the 1st founding president of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. The original offices of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod were in the basement of this church. This is the oldest Lutheran Church west of the Mississippi River.

This church has an amazing youth ministry for all ages. We have been blessed to serve in different areas through the years. This is a special church and school, filled with amazing people! I have a ton of tattoos. (Some not too church friendly) And, I hear church people can be the most judgmental people on the Earth. I stumbled upon the pastor of this church by chance, and he invited us to go. Still hesitant, after a few months pass, one day I went and we have been every Sunday since. They have been nothing but great. Everyone has been welcoming. People that dont recognize my face come over and introduce themselves to me and say they hope to see me again. I havent felt one evil stare at my tattoos. My kids love it!! They have get togethers for the kids beyond Sunday classes which are extra special to my kids with the lack of family we have. Men and Women teachers for positive role models of both sexes. I can go on and on. This was definitely a good choice as a church, and I wish I would have made to choice to go back sooner. Fear was holding me back for nothing. I highly recommend!!!!!
