I've been to this church a few times over 2 decades. In the 90s I came to a wedding here. It was…read moremarvelously decorated. The bride had been baptized here and it was her longtime church. Family and friends filled the place. Even then I was struck by the beauty. I was back recently for a funeral. Again I was impressed with the beauty of the place. It's really lovely. The organist for the funeral was terrific and the acoustics quite good. The occasion was tragic, and again it was filled with friends and family, from far and wide. I'm not a mass goer, but I love churches. The grandeur. The history. The stories. I love them. This is a good one. They have plenty of parking. There is also a large meeting space for receptions and the like.

In the design of a cathedral…read more Out growth of St John's RC. (later re-established on west side of town) Pipe organ. Bell tower. Stain Glass windows. Currently the interior ceiling has been lowered for better heating efficiency so some of the interior splendor is gone or at least muted. It's still pretty high. Two lower alters appose the main vaulted alter. A throw back to another time.

This is a small, independent, Baptist Church that has approximately 25-30 regular adult members…read more The members of this church might not seem many in number but they are extremely friendly and inviting to new attendees. I find that in the larger churches the amount of time that can be spent conversating with the Pastor gets smaller and smaller the larger you get.
