It's been ages since I got my haircut and it's been even longer since I have walked out thinking I've wasted my money on a cut. I called ahead of time and got lucky that they had a time slot open on a busy day. My stylist was a bit rude and a bit too pushy of the Aveda products in store for my taste. I'm already there getting my hair done, please ask me if I want to hear about it. Don't demand I need to purchase this product in order to have great hair. No offence but I can't afford to spend $50+ a month on shampoo or conditioner (hi I'm a student). After being told by my stylist that they didn't want to cut my hair any shorter than I had asked because "it takes time to shorten it up (whatever the hell that means)", I was pretty damn irritated. Next the stylist curls the bottom end of my hair (because it's what their other client likes) and I can safely say I hate it. During the entire hair cutting process, I keep talking to the stylist about my ideas and keep getting shot down. Great. Thanks a lot! So in short, if you like pushy overbearing stylists that will do what they think is best for you - this is your spot!

I went to first choice and Draga, an AMAZING hairdresser not only fixed the awful dye job, but gave me the white blonde highlights i originally wanted and a beautiful haircut that was all one length. I am soooo happy. Also Tonyc charged like $500 to fuck up my hair and first choice FIXED it perfectly for $200. Didnt ask if she wanted it dried (it was washed) and just said all done, and left in the back with her friends. when I came to pick her up, she was sitting there with wet hair.

Booked online through setmore (check out his Instagram Page to book - @cutsbymez) and arrived promptly in time for my appointment. He took me right away, but they have some waiting seating as well. He charges $30 for a cut, and it's well worth it. The salon itself is pretty hype, very nicely designed and spacious. Chairs are comfortable too. The parking situation is a little limited (there's street parking and a small parking lot at the back...can easily park in a nearby parking lot if you can't find). I'll definitely be back soon for a haircut from Houman!
