These people are a JOKE .. Good luck trying to reach anyone at the location. They have been giving me the run around over medication for my son. My son has always had Asthma and was given a Nebulizer from his insurance due to his condition.They refused to give me a refill on his prescription ! They requested me to go make an "Sick Appointment " for my son so that he can be seen for Asthma . THIS was OCT 2022 .. I was following up on this prescriptions for over five months. They told me son he had Allergies & forgot to place a refill on his Asthma medication. It's now 2023 and they still refuse to get a refill. Called after hours over 4 times in a week and no one responds . They stated per "protocol" I had to bring my son in SAME day to get his prescriptions .. For weeks I been trying to schedule an appointment for my sons physical and gets his shots for school and they never answer the phones or respond back to online request through the portal, I got fed up and called Nemours to switch my son to them and they where able to get my son an appointment right away and when I went into my son portal to get his vaccine records for his new doctor they disabled my account and then finally after 4 weeks of waiting for a response from FCP they decided to call to make an appointment. What a joke this place is very disappointing. I am so beyond impressed with this practice. The receptionists in the front desk today were so professional sweet and very informative. Dr.Roques was amazing !! The staff is terrible, incompetent, rude, and lack the knowledge to work in a medical practice. Billing department does not know how to properly bill for services rendered. I strongly believe this practice is balance billing their patients, which is illegal. If you have an issue, you can call, fax, mail letters, you will not get a response. There are long wait times even if you are the first appointment of the day, there's no excuse for that. You are kept waiting for a long time before getting into an exam room. While there, you wait forever to see the doctor. Most of the doctors at this practice have no people skills, difficult to understand, or barely give an effort to act like they care about your child's health. Several of the doctors at this practice misdiagnosed my child. I won't bring my kids here for anything more than an ear infection b/c that is all they are good for, writing a prescription. read more

I've never had a good experience at this office. The doctor dismissed my concerns repeatedly. He ignored my requests. I told him my daughter has had trouble breathing almost constantly since birth and her sinuses need looked at, possibly her adenoids. The doctor literally rolled his eyes and told me to get otc allergy meds. I followed advice and still had the same issues, and he still gave the same advice. I went to an urgent care where they immediately diagnosed my daughter with a sinus infection and gave her a prescription that cleared it up almost immediately. Dr Allison Klemis is one of the worst providers. My son was taken to her 3 weeks in a row, 3 separate times to be told "he fine". My 8 month old, ended up being rushed to the emergency room RIGHT AFTER leaving the office, he had a 104.4 fever, ended up being transported by ambulance and had a uti, pneumonia, rhinovirus and adenovirus. This doctor is the absolute worst. Claims to be "one of the best" and "such a good pediatrician". She's not. I don't want this to happen to someone else's child. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

They never answer the phone. Even when they finally do, you are put on hold for a long time. They encourage you to use the portal yet the portal always have wrong information. It tells you to check-in and wait in your vehicle but they never call you to come in. You have to find out on your own by just walking in to ask. By then its already way past your appointment time. You request an appointment via the portal and never get a call. If you do its about 3 days later. Lastly you think everything is going well and then get a portal message stating you owe a balance when your insurance information is on file and have not had any payments required only find out it was a system error. read more

I needed to switch Doctors after loosing my insurance and Dr Portugal was on the list. I heard great things about her but she is never there. Today my daughter was very sick, they could get her in (Saturday) but they said they couldn't verify insurance (my insurance is the same as the last time we were there) because is not business hours so I would have to be SELF PAY. I've been going there for a couple of years and that's not the 1st time they want to charge me with that exchange. Funny thing is that I just got back from another Dr and they were able to verify insurance online! I AM NEVER GOING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! PS: I am sorry Erika but I am not your patient, you cannot say you did everything to accommodate me! You can't tell my last name, you have no idea who I am... so that non sense response is ridiculous!!! Was on my appointment with my infant who wasn't even a month old that I scheduled as an emergency because he was sick (keep in mind I called and asked if I should just bring him to the ER they told me no, to come in) My infant began throwing up and choking on the vomit in the car so I had to stop to check him and clean him up, I wasn't even 10 minutes late. I cannot explain the level of dissatisfaction that I encountered today in the Dr. Phillips pediatrics clinic. This is now the second year that I take my child to this facility the first year I had an amazing doctor that answered all my questions, and really heard my concerns. My child's yearly appointment came up and I was informed that my previous doctor was no longer at that location but had moved to the Poinciana location. They recommended I use the doctor that is now at the Dr. Phillips clinic. I will say I have never been more offended any doctor like today. My eight-year-old left crying because the doctor called her obese. Dr. marlee bisono was insulting, cursed in my child's face and said she would wake up feeling shitty if she continued to gain weight. If this woman felt like there was an issue with my child then she should have addressed me or her father. Not address the 8 year old and literally tell her that all drinks except water was poison. Her tone was disgusting and offensive. I am at a true lost for words with the professionalism of this woman. read more

I am surprised at the number of negative reviews. We have had a very positive experience with this practice so far. We have been going to this office since our daughter was born (she is now 14 months). We have never experienced unusually long wait times. As first time parents, we were very anxious the first couple of times that our daughter was sick and the office was able to fit her in immediately and ease our worries. The doctors are amazing! We have been seeing Dr. Muhumuza and he is wonderful, caring and compassionate. He speaks in terms that you will understand and takes as much time as necessary to answer all of your questions. I don't mind if the wait times are longer because I know that means that when it is our turn, we will get the full care and attention that we expect. As a first time parent, I am comforted by the fact that they answer all of our questions instead of just try to rush people in and out and I understand that in giving that much attention to each patient, I might need to wait a little longer. I am also comforted in the fact that if our daughter is having an emergency, they will see us immediately. Again, I don't mind waiting longer if another child is having an emergency and I am just there for a check-up because I am comforted in the fact that when it is my child, they will make sure she is seen immediately. read more

So let me start by saying i liked this office... I really liked this office a lot until i didnt like them. So my son received his 2 months vaccinations. 2 days later he began having seizures. The seizures got progressively worse so I told them i would hold off on the 4 month vaccines. I kept being pressured and i ultimately said i would not further harm my child. My baby is 6 months old now and has had over 100 seizures since then. He was harmed by the vaccine so why would I do it again. Because I chose not to we were dismissed from the practice. I am disgusted at the pressure we were given. If my child died from the 2nd vaccine would they take responsibility? No! Now i cant work anymore because my child has seizures everyday and I had to deal with the stress of starting over with a new pediatrician that would accept us. The stress of frequent doctor and hospital visits. This place is disgusting. Im so disgusted that all they care about is pushing a vaccine and not my childs health. read more

At the end of the month last month, my 6 month old son tested positive for Covid. We didn't know where he could've gotten it from since all of us were negative at home. I message the office through the patient portal and ask them when he needed to be retested again because my job needed a negative test result from him and myself in order for me to go back to work. They never replied, instead called me and said that I needed another appointment to follow up on simply because the insurance was not going to pay for the test without an appointment. I work for a doctors office, so I know that this happens the way it does. So I make a follow up appointment for Friday the 8th at 9:15am and the doctor doesn't get on the call until almost 10 AM. The doctor was really confused as to why I had an appointment with her and I had to explain to her that my son had Covid (since the provider I had a follow up with on the 31st never wrote in her note that he was COVID positive, only wrote that he had an upper respiratory infection) and I needed this appointment to get him re-tested per what the office told me. She was confused throughout the entire appointment and said "OK when you get tested let me know what the results are." I said "Aren't you guys supposed to let me know?" And she said "Yes you're totally right I'm sorry." I knew something was going on when the doctor kept asking me why he needed to get retested. What was supposed to take 20 minutes took almost 2 hours. When I finally knocked on the back door and asked the nurses why they were taking so long, they told me that they didn't know why my son needed to get tested and that my insurance didn't cover the retest and they were unsure why. I work at a doctors office and we work with plenty of Medicaid plans and I have never heard of Medicaid not covering a test that a patient needs. When I ask them why it wasn't covered, they said that they didn't know why and that insurances usually do not cover Covid retest. I ended up paying $100 out of pocket to get him re-tested because I needed to have those results to return to work this past Monday. They wouldn't test him if I didn't pay first. Once I paid, I got my results in 10 minutes. I kid you not. Thank goodness I work at a doctor's office and I know how these things work, and I decided to call his HMO plan and see if this information was true or not and I was told that he can get tested as many times as he needed to, and that they cover any and all tests at 100%. I even got a reference number and all. As you all know, Medicaid plans cover anything that is submitted to them, which is probably the reason why they all lied and said that the insurance didn't cover it because they never submitted the test claim in and most likely I paid them more than medicaid would have. I paid $100 out of pocket and I'm sure Medicaid is only paying them 25% of that. I find it extremely unprofessional that this claim was not ever even submitted to the insurance and even worse, that they have to lie to patients to get extra money for something that insurance covers. I totally would have been reasonable if he was negative to begin with and I wanted to get him re-tested for fun. Unfortunately, that is not the case and he NEEDED to get re-tested. Working in an area where their patient population is children that are covered by Medicaid and they are making parents that are probably out of work and not making money because their kids are COVID positive, pay out of pocket for testing that is covered by their insurance. It makes me sick to my stomach, and I don't even want to begin to imagine that them, fully knowing this information, are charging parents this kind of money. Thank goodness I only have one, I truly feel bad for those with multiples that trust their word and care and don't know this information or are not knowledgeable enough to know they can call their insurance provider and ask if their insurance covers this test. They did it anyway the first time, of course, leading to abnormal result. On our most recent visit, again they want to do cholesterol blood test without telling us ahead of time, we declined. I have been going to this Dr. office since January, never had a problem. Then today, it was the 18 month check up for my baby, YEAH! WELL, I got there 10 minutes early, ( don't want to be penalized for being late) sign in and I take my seat with my 2 lil girls. At 9:45a, mind you the appt was at 9a, I get up to ask what is going on. They have already called back 2 ppl that came in after me! I was told there are 2 Dr.s working at the time and they are calling pt's back for both Dr.s. 10:05a I decide that now that 4 ppl that have come in after me have been called back, that I will just reschedule, as I was on time, but now I have sat here for 45 minutes, I have better things to do with my time. At 10:10a as I was still at the reception window rescheduling they were going to call me back. I asked to speak to a corporate office as they have 3 locations, there has to be someone to talk to. She offered to have the Office Manager, Nick, to come talk to me. Nick came to speak with me and told me that 30 minutes is not a LONG time to wait in a waiting room with 2 toddlers, waiting for the Dr. to see us. As that may be true, I watched 4 ppl who came in after me go back before me. He then proceeded to tell me that the Dr. was ready to see me and trying to convince me to stay for this appt, even tho I had already rescheduled. Now he wants me to stay here longer! Nick then tells me that going to the park with my kids should not take precedence over a Dr. appt that was now 1hr ago, and that he should charge me the $15 cancellation fee! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I was on time, I have watched others who came after me be called back while I sit here with a 3yr old and and 18 month old. I mean how late can I be before you charge me $15 and make me reschedule,,, should I really sit in the waiting room and wait longer than that time so see the Dr.?! read more

I've never done a review but it is necessary for me to let parents and caregiver know the how business oriented is this place and not committed to care for children. I called to schedule an appointment for my 3 children and was told I needed to fill out a prescreening online and that someone would call be within 24 hrs. To my surprise I was called within an hour back and at the moment I was very impress with their quick response. The lady started asking me questions about each child and their medical history, wanting to know if they have any pre existing conditions. My oldest is 17 not turning 18 until December but they informed me I needed to reach my insurance and ask for another doctor since he will be 18 in 3 months ( not understanding because he is currently 17 and if I needed him to be seen next week he is still under age). Then it came down to my youngest. My 8 year old has a heart condition but gets seen by a cardiologist ( nothing major) and they told me I needed to change insurance to CMS. My 4 year old has a pre existing condition , chromosome unbalance and she has about 7 specialists that she sees. They lady told me that because of my daugter's complex medical history they are not able to see her because they will not be able to meet her needs. She then proceeded to give me numbers of pediatricians in Celebration that provided care for kids with special needs. I was in shock. I asked her are you telling me that you are denying care for my daughter because she is a child with special needs and you can't meet her needs? What other needs other than seeing her for an ear infection, an annual physical or a common cold. That's why she has specialist to see her for her specifics conditions. I can't believe a PEDIATRICIAN office discriminates on kids and chooses who they can see and who they can't see. My daughter has every right to receive health care as any other child. While I believe their physicians are detailed and competent I was not pleased by the feeling that they are more concerned with billing than patient care. I needed a refill for my son and they were insistent that I schedule a full physical and then a separate ADHD appointment before they would provide a 30-day script. They are not flexible for working families - needed to take time off work because they would not offer a later appointment for an ADHD follow-up. My oldest daughter didn't go here . My middle child did because her father chose this place because when we met , his son went here . I HATE IT . I'm always waiting a long time and I never know if I should go upstairs or downstairs . Dragging my kids and the car seat and all my bags up and down is a pain in the ass ! Extremely unprofessional front staff and management. The call hold time is always extremely high, not to mention the wait time in the lobby to be called back. They have non clinical employees make clinical decisions like whether your child gets a referral or not. They are just disgustingly rude and unprofessional and they try to act like they are polite but they have NO manners, respect, or sympathy. They talk about your child out in the open violating HIPPA. The only good thing about this place are the doctors and the MA's at Semoran location. Not to mention they charge for everything! DON'T TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE!!!! I can not say this enough. If you feel your child needs a second opinion with a specialist and you need a referral, unless they feel the situation fits a "protocol" they will not give you one and then they will discharge your child as a patient if you disagree with the doctor. The doctor walked out of the room in the middle of the conversation because I told her she didn't have a right to prevent me from taking my child to a specialist just because she didn't think anything was wrong. Just because you don't thing anything is wrong, it doesn't mean that there isn't. A specialist may disagree w/ her. Because of being cut off while trying to voice my concerns, more than once I actually had to request to allow me to finish speaking before being interrupted. I was even told to give her medications as trial to see if it works without even doing any diagnostics to find out what is wrong first. So I'm suppose to give a 7 year old medications that have side effects in hopes that her symptoms resolve. Seriously, is that how medicine is practiced, give medications first and ask questions later. Despite giving me blood work orders. my child was let go from the practice, now how am I suppose to have her follow up if she is not allowed back. Why give me blood work orders if you're going to discharge my child from the practice. I can't speak for any of the other locations but both doctors at this location have no bedside manner and treat the parent as if they are crazy. Their egos are so big that if you disagree with them they will fire you from their practice. Now I have to find another doctor, in the mean time my daughter will continue to suffer. SMH!!! read more

I have on multiple occasions not been able to schedule a same day appointment for him. Then with an appointment and a sick child,they sent me to the Oviedo office, which was a 40 minute drive, but if that meant he could be seen I was willing to do that. We then proceeded to wait TWO AND A HALF HOURS before they saw us. One hour of which was in the exam room with my other two children in tow. He is having severe migraines and sinus pressure and body aches and they did absolutely nothing to test him to see what it could be. She didn't even perform a standard exam, then asked us to do a Strep culture and sent us on our way. The Rx she said she ordered for us never got sent to the pharmacy. When we tried contacting them to get a new one and figure out what happened all their phone lines were down for TWO MORE DAYS. No apology. No effort. No care. I would like to say it's only the one location, but we ran into the same issues at the Kissimmee office. Run, don't walk the other direction from these people. read more
