This urgent care is in a really busy plaza, but they reserve the front lot for patients. I was helped by Jared when I arrived. His jokes made the anxious wait bearable. Martin was my main nurse, he was nice and fast. All of the attendees were polite and patient with me, since I came so close to closing time. I chose this location because they had a CT Scan. There was a small wait for the CT Scan but the entire service was quick. the only thing I didn't like was the beds were gurneys. They made my wait super uncomfortable. I'm glad I chose this location, the staff was great and the care was amazing! I will definitely be back. read more

Guidewell on Semoran Blvd. In Orlando is the best emergency clinic I have been to in all of my years living in Central Florida... I have had the privilege of using this clinic on several occasions..The front desk girls are welcoming, polite, and helpful..... Lisa, who I believe is one of the managers is lovely, cheerful, and kind.. The doctors are brilliant diagnosticians, that have caught things that others have missed.. The nurses are knowledgeable and so pleasant.. And having had to have a few CT scans there, I can tell you Emilio is the best, what a kind and gentle man.... I'm sure this all sound like I work there or have a relative that does, I don't !!! If you plan to use GuideWell, be aware: if someone walks in and refuses hospital admission, every medical professional on duty may be tied up for hours. That's exactly what happened during my visit. I had a 10:00 a.m. appointment for severe sinus pain. I was told both the only physician and the only nurse practitioner were occupied "stabilizing" one patient who required a transfusion but refused hospital transfer. Because both were required in that room, no other patients were seen for over two hours. The result: multiple rooms of patients--including me--sat untreated while waiting on what should have been a simple exam and antibiotic. Patients deserve to know that this clinic can be effectively shut down by one case. read more

Cervical Radiculopathy .Upon completion of her assessment & her examination she concluded that my pain was related to bulging Disc & to continue the current medication regimen . I voiced my concerns further showing her actual picture of this parasitic infection & she finally wrote orders for Cephalexin Capsules 500mg once daily for - week thank God finally have at least one drug to begin the process of healing ‍ that infection I'm my left forearm. Got here at around 3pm. Took them around 30 min to get me checked in you have to sign in on an iPad and then finish paperwork on your phone. Then I was sent back, they didn't cover my insurance so I had to pay $200 for the visit which is very expensive visit. Then I was told that they sonogram tech is not on property and they would have to put in an order and she would be there in 40 min. Then the sonogram was $650 which was not the price posted on the wall in the lobby. I waited not for but 80 min for the tech to come to the location. The tech was very professional and nice. Then I had to wait another 30 min for the doctor of the location to see me and discharge me. You have to wait for the main doctor to come see you to be discharged. So I was there over 4 hours. They offered me a bottle of water and a blanket that had stains on it. read more

My son arrived shortly after they opened, got his personal & insurance info. in the system, put him in a room almost immediately and had him sitting waiting for an hour afterwards to have stitches removed. Had a dude (big stomach dressed in all black) come with the worst attitude acting as if he's coming in to take out 3 stitches but instead came and asked unnecessary questions which they already knew. Finally nurse Gabriela & Courtney came in with a pleasant attitude but he was already in such a funk about the timeframe. We know that it only takes tweezers and gloves to remove three stitches and then we could be out the door. No need to hold us in a facility and risk us contracting whatever other customers have that come in. Hence, the reason for the negative feedback. Also, please be mindful of who you hire in your establishment because it can make a lasting impression and you never know who you're interacting with I.e. your customers. Guidewell would not accept my insurance and said I had to pay out of pocket before they would do any treatments. They said my records would be available in two weeks and I could submit for reimbursement. The records they gave me were not what the insurance company required (they need line item charges.) When I contacted them to get these records, they told me they could not release them to me because their system has been compromised since February. I cannot get reimbursed from my insurance company because they will not release the records that I need for payment. So if you have to pay out-of-pocket, I would not go there expecting to be reimbursed anytime soon from your insurance company because they will not give you thedocumentation you need sorry I got this. read more

The female doctor who treated me today, Saturday, in Winter Park, confirmed I had an upper respiratory/sinus infection with a fever, but REFUSED TO GIVE ME AN ANTIBIOTIC, because I wasn't sick long enough. 2. I explained that I have a history of sinus infections and my Allergist of thirty years, (recently retired), always stated that I need an antibiotic and steroids to cure my infections. This female doctor STILL REFUSED. 3. I explained that I was in town to care for my daughter who had sinus surgery two days ago, but I am too sick to care for her. This doctor STILL REFUSED. 4. I explained that I am not a child but a 65 year old woman and to please trust my judgment. SHE STILL REFUSED. 5. I told her I thought she was making an error about the treatment of my infection. SHE DISAGREED and STILL REFUSED. 6. I left and called my internist in PB County (where I live) who confirmed that I needed an antibiotic and steroid, and called it in. 7. This female doctor was the most arrogant, narrow minded, uneducated, and insensitive doctor I've ever encountered. 8. A good doctor shows compassion and sound intuition for each patients' needs. Don't know what's in the air but I got it. Place didn't accept my insurance which was no big deal since I really wanted to feel better I'd pay the extra $$. I arrived an hour early and was seen around the time of my appointment. All nurses and staff were very accommodating. Left with some prescriptions and ready to rest for the next few days. I noticed that they didn't prescribe anything for my cough which keeps me up at night. I called and spoke to a lady 30 minutes ago that refused to prescribe me something for my cough because "they don't do that" and I should try OTC instead. I simply told her the reason I went in is because the OTC cough medicine I was using wasn't working for me. She didn't give me a reason as to why "they don't do that" other than that statement. Needless to say I learned my lesson... $200 later...go to the place that accepts your insurance and will most likely give you a valid reason as to why they're going to refuse your care. read more

However as soon as we were back in the waiting room they became so rude and treated us like we were just another patient that they rush in and out and get paid on. They were very dismissive and made us feel as if our pain and discomfort was inadequate, they were not patient with us at all and rushed us, they opened the door and crowded the room with 4 people during a time of vulnerability. I'm so glad I found this place! Every member of the staff from front of the house to back was so friendly and pleasant and easy to talk to. I made an appointment,was brought back almost immediately and was in and out in a timely manner.Instead of first waiting for the doctor to come In and evaluate and then order a chest X-ray which I needed,he ordered one before he even saw me because he actually read my history first and knew I would need one.They immediately put any prescription you might need into the pharmacy also. Everyone is sick now,the urgent cares are crowded,no one is going to get in and out quickly,but if one is going to have to be there at least it can be in a clean,friendly environment. Dr. Quinonez was kind and patient with my husband since he becomes anxious in any situation that needles may be needed. The young man that was taking care of him was fantastic to him. The staff was very professional, I made the appointment online early in the morning and they had availability for the same day. I completd all the forms, added my ID and I surance Information. I arrived a few minutes early, pay my co-pay and I was in the examination room in less than 10 minutes. Very unhappy with our experience with Guidewell Tampa. The nurses there were incompetent and it took 3 horrendous attempts and lots of tears before they finally sent in a nurse who was experienced enough to actually draw the blood. As she did, though, she lectured my son the entire time for being "tense." (He was in tears because all the attempts were so painful and drawn out). When I received the bill, we were charged an extra $1,000 for an extended stay. The extended stay was a direct result of the incompetence we experienced while there. I called and left messages with the location manager, as well as submitted it for review with the billing company. I never heard from the location manager, and the review was denied. I have zero problems paying for what we rightfully owed, but we did not owe the extended stay amount. That should have been removed. I am very unsatisfied with the Guidewell staff and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I was having issues getting my COVID meds called into my pharmacy and she reached out to me and made herself available after hours to ensure I got the medical help I needed. Go here! I was trying to get in to see my primary care doc or my ENT for a cough and sinus headache that had lasted 3 weeks and both docs were booked on a Friday afternoon. Was going to go to Centra Care when a coworker suggested Winter Park Guidewell with marked enthusiasm. They are a walk-In Emergency care facility and since I didn't want to suffer all weekend decided to give them a try. I called to see if they were busy and they said no, so I drove over and was checked in and seen by a physician's assistant within 20 minutes of my arrival. The waiting room is clean, comfortable and well designed. The woman who checked me in was friendly and efficient. The PA was concerned about my cough's duration so they x-rayed my lungs, too. These folks were very thorough in their exam and were compassionate and positive, too. If you are sick or hurt, skip the ER and head to Guidewell! read more

This is the greediest most unprofessional group of medical advisors I have ever witnessed in my entire life! I went in for flank pain and a kidney infection. I was charged $199 before even being evaluated. Before any exam or testing were done, I was told I was required to have a CT scan among other tests to amount to over $1000 and I must pay upfront before treatment can begin. When I told them I could not afford an $800 CT scan, and could they process the urine sample and prescribe antibiotics if needed, they refused and advised me to go to the hospital emergency room...which I did and received excellent treatment! My BP was 222/101 and they sent me away!!!! At that point they became very rude, sent me out with paperwork and kept my $199 for NOTHING! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! read more

I took my 19 year old son to Guidewell because he was having brain fog and felt terrible. They didn't do one test and said it was a psychological problem. We went to an ENT the next day and after a CT scan, was diagnosed with terrible sinus infection and scarlet fever. I'm so happy we found out what was physically wrong with him. They were no help. I came in here 2 days ago and was here for a total of close to 4 hours just to be neglected by the doctor multiple times. I am here again now with my boyfriend since I got him sick and the same thing is happening. I had been going here for a while, but had the worst experience recently. While my visit wasn't bad, my insurance got billed $1,200 for a sinus infection. I spent no more than 30 minutes in there and the doctor did the bare minimum to diagnose me because that's what was necessary. Now I'm supposed to pay almost $500 (plus the copay I already paid) for basically having a cold. This is beyond anything I have experienced, even attending this same urgent care for the same reason a few months prior. They didn't diagnose or treat anything, but said we should go to another GuideWell facility to get an X-ray because their X-ray machine was down. I went to this clinic and had such a bad experience that I swore I'd never go back then I got a phone call from a supervisor telling me that they were upset to hear I had a bad experience. She told me they refund me my co-pay and if I had any more issues to come back they would not charge me for the visit. To this day I have seen no refund and everyone I have spoken to at the Palm Harbor location has been RUDE , this is why I will never be going back . Terrible experience at this location. I was being seen before i pinched the tip of my ring finger with a tool. I had no puncture wound but it did swell up really bad two days later. First of all they said my insurance didn't pay much so they required that I paid out of pocket first. As a health insurance agent unless you call in to verify benefits there is no way to look at a carrier an now coverage they have. There can be over 30 plans. I was than seen by a lady who advised a tetanus booster because I said I don't when I last had one. I just had a physical early this year and my PC never said anything about a tetanus. The NP finally saw me after being there for an hour. The NP looked at my finger and hand pulled on it and I had pain. She immediately said I had an infection and needed to see a hand specialist for surgery. She than tried to recommend I get a shot of antibiotics for $260 that they said would provide relief. They took and an xray never read the results even though I knew it was broken. I felt like it was a big money grab attempt. I ended up leaving refusing the tetanus shot and antibiotic finally getting to the specialist that same afternoon after being at Guidewell for 2 hours. I didn't have an infection or need surgery just got treated for a bad case of tendinitis. The staff at Guidewell left me with a bad experience and I would avoid the Winter Park location if you can. read more

This place was a complete waste of time. I tested positive covid and don't feel well. My doctor in my hometown told me and a friend who is an ER doctor told me to get on Paxlovid . I called this urgent care to ask if they have it and they said yes and they made an appointment. I just wasted 2 hours. The doctor did not want to take a covid test as she said I took one already. When I asked for the paxlovid she said she would have to see if I qualified. After 2 hours of sitting and waiting there a nurse came with a EUA for prophylaxis which is for pre exposure and is NOT relevant to me. She said I didn't qualify for it. BRILLIANT - how could I qualify for something like that if I have Covid. I felt I was in a foreign country where we did not speak the same language. When I ask for paxlovid she said they don't have it. How about prescription. No response. The just wanted to sign and pay and leave. Do NOT WASTE your time here. I wish I could remember names of the staff who assisted me because they were all incredibly understanding, kind and informative throughout my experience here. I was so scared I was in tears going there and after the comfort and care of their doctor and nurses I was smiling on my way out of the door. I'm a healthcare provider I went here for a sinus infection, my ears were hurting, fever, cough, and headache. The Dr had me stand facing a wall so he could listen to my lungs. Never checked my ears, did not palpate lymph nodes. This place practices a do not touch the patient and do not do a complete assessment on the patient. It's very expensive and I have insurance too. The workers esp the doctor are very "COLD" and they do not listen to the patient. I personally would never go back again because they do not care. read more

I came in with abdominal pains. The first part was fine, they checked me in quickly, did an abdominal contrast, with an IV and left me in the room for an hour. No one came to check on me. I got up once with IV attached and the nurse assistant came in and said they were waiting for results . Again another half hour but no one came in. I could hear social hour outside my room. Had to use the restroom, again no one stopped in to check on me I opened the door to the exam room and they all looked at me wondering what the problem was. After three hours got out of there with three prescriptions The next day I called as one of the prescriptions made me really nauseous. The person I talked to said they would have the nurse call me back that they are very busy. Now it's 4 o'clock and no return call. and they are closed. I would never recommend this place read more
