This summer, my son received a full scholarship (completely free training!) to a prestigious four-week summer intensive in North Carolina. Both of my children have been accepted to some of the best summer intensives in America, including Boston Ballet, the Bolshoi, and American Ballet Theatre. They are receiving excellent training. Their training has improved not only their dancing, but also other aspects of their lives (such as school) that require discipline, focus, and commitment. We have been so happy with the conservatory and are grateful to Caitlin Kelly, the owner, and all the other wonderful teachers who are caring and kind but also hold the dancers to high standards.

My daughter has been apart of Dance Plus for the last 2 years and before then had done for a year (around 7 years old) They have done such an amazing job with her (she is legally blind) and have always been very accommodating. The attention to detail in the development of each student's technique is what helps each kid rise to the high standards set, and take pride in their accomplishments. Never once the entire year and a half my child has been there have I ever received an answer to my emails, or facebook messages. If you call and leave a message good luck getting that returned as well. My daughter barely learned her routine in time for recital which was another $150 for fees and costumes. They have all year so what they were waiting for I don't know. And she still hasn't learned classic french positioning names. The main saving grace for this school is I can say my daughter is in ballet and it's less than $100 a month. Wish other schools in the area would come down some on their prices and we'd switch. Maybe if hubby gets that promotion we'll switch this year. And there is no where for parents to sit. Brand new studio and there are no mom rooms, no benches, they just throw a bunch of chairs here and there. They really should have had done more research on ballet studios before they built out the new space. And if someone brings a friend or their mother, forget it, you the paying customer have no where to sit. All in all, if you can afford it, go to queindit ballet or performing arts in the villages of stone oak. If you are on a budget and just want your child in ballet, then this is ok.

I shared with a close friend (she used to be in ballet and her daughter is practicing competitively) and she mentioned that Mrs. Rena's practice of ballet is a highly regarded one and it was a good studio for my daughter to go to. Fast forward to today and my daughter is loving the school. Mrs. Rena takes pride in teaching her students the right methods of ballet, while also teaching them how to be a good person through manners, patience and practice. She takes her curriculum seriously and is always trying to find ways to make it better.
