I found him to be very personable, knowledgeable and not quick to say...X-ray, MRI or any of that. He poked, prodded and squeezed my ankle then told me, what made sense, what was wrong! I over did it and my inside tendon was inflamed. Probable with "lots" of time it would get better (I was on 3 months already) but with a shot of cortisone it will feel better right away and the cortisone will reduce the swelling inside my ankle hence the healing could take place faster...bingo- we did it!

After meeting with Dr Graham I felt at ease after his thorough examination and his level of knowledge in the field. His bedside manners are extraordinary. We decided to address one issue that would impact the length of surgery and recovery time minimally while hopefully dealing with my present symptoms and discomfort. Super nice, friendly, and smart about his field and what he thought was best for me. We talked about me and what I do, did, and want to with this body that I have beaten slap to death. Then we talked about him where he came from (local kid) and where he studied and did his residency. He was born and raised here and did his residency in the big apple at the best joint replacement hospital in the country. He chose the this particular hip contraption cause of what I want an need to be able to do with my life and work. I will say that everyone in this office was very sweet and helpful. They know I was in pain went out of their way to make me and the wife comfortable. Never being operated on before I was nervous and scared. Doc I guess felt that and comforted me. I will say that the surgery and before and after included and very good doctors visit. He told me how my old hip was and it wasn't pretty but the new one was all bright and shiny. He even wrote Go Gators on the probe in my leg bone. JK but I feel he would have if I asked. I just returned from our post op visit and I got my first look at my new hardware. I do know it has only been 13 days since I took possession of this hip it is working better and better everyday. I know it is cause of Dr Frykberg's talent. I will also say that he learned today that his one guilt pleasure is Maple Street Biscuit Companies food so you know what I did? Yep the office had breakfast on me this morning and will every time I return. He was genuinely happy when I returned with biscuits for him and his side of the office. The new Physician treated me like a drug seeking criminal. Even though he had records going back years. He knew I'd been taking pain meds for awhile. He had records showing 5 failed back surgeries and still scoffed in my face and said, " you're not a cancer patient, don't you think you're exaggerating?". I was hurt and offended. I wanted to scream- don't you think I'd rather not be here at all? He reduced my medication by more than half and told me I'd be fine. I decided to find someone new. Dr. Caudill treated me like a person. He wouldn't even see me before he had the opportunity to review my records. Thank you for actually taking me seriously.
