The service gave me hope for the future of the world through prayer. I love how everything is structured, and I certainly enjoyed the friendliness of the people. They have all kinds of education material, including rosaries that you can borrow or take home if you need one. I love the incense and actually when they were blessing at one time the fire alarm went off and that was kind of fun for everyone kind of a nervous time and then laughter. It just added to the ease of the service.

I have some mixed reactions but I feel this needs to be shared…read more.. My grandfather recently passed away and this was the church my grandparents went to so we decided to do a remembrance service through them.... This is where the story begins. The church is overall fine. It is an old house and is a very nice place... Small but quaint. This issues arise with Pastor Kate and her administrative assistant Cindy.... We did not want a funeral but did want a small remembrance ceremony for closure... This was not the agenda of Pastor Kate. We felt that she was quite wrong in how things were handled... She was constantly looking out for her self instead of following the wishes of the family. We made changes to the program for the ceremony and how the ceremony would go... She changed them back to what she wanted... This happened 5 times. We would explain what we wanted and make the changes and she would change it back to what she wanted. Finally we got the service planned how we wanted and she changed the obituary to an old version and also changed the order of how we wanted donations...we put it in order of what our grandfather would want and she changed it several times to have the church first. In a time of need, the wishes of the family should be followed... If I hadn't been laying close attention, my grandmother wouldn't have had it in her to keep making the changes to make the service what we wanted. She felt overbearing and rude. Also, her admin, Cindy, did not pay attention to emails we sent and did not make changes when we wanted them made. Another point, we had asked for a specific singer and they told us they had called who we asked them to call to get the lady to sing, and they told us they had.... Guess what... They didn't. We ended up having to call. On a side note, Pastor Kate showed up at the funeral home, uninvited, and it felt very overdone... She seems to have quite a big agenda and it feels overbearing and hard to deal with. Overall, the church is nice and she isn't a bad woman, I didn't dislike her as a person but I would honestly never go her or return here for any service... I don't trust her and it was a hard process. In the end, the service was beautiful, but only because of how much work we had to put into it... It shouldn't be that hard. It was our time of need and it felt like we had to work so hard to get what we needed/wanted. We had to work very hard to get what our grandfather wanted.... Ridiculous. One last thing... She made a comment to my father about how it was nice of him to come because he was Jewish... What relevance does that have? That was rude.
