The staff gave my 3 year old a bear. That part was pretty funny... he didn't want one at first and after the mass.. another staff approached and tried to give him a bear. At the burial sight, a canopy and chairs were set up. After the farewell, they closed up the burial site, added the grass back on and moved the flowers. The whole process was seamless Apparently, grandma already had her burial plan all set up so the funeral home followed it to the dot.

She was extremely kind, prompt and professional. She explained exactly what paperwork was needed for various government institutions and how long everything would take. She let me leave notes and flowers with my loved one. She even allowed my dogs to visit our loved one, which meant so much to us. After numerous emails attempting to expediate the cremation, with offers to pay any amounts not covered, I was told today cremation could take up to another three weeks. We have immense grief and want some closure. When I first spoke to you an indication of the time frame should have been provided. Also, as the Ministry informed me that some funeral homes commence before approval the response of "unable" is at best inaccurate. I appreciate you are in a business but I feel we were pushed to the end of the line because it was being paid by the Ministry. I guess when you are extremely busy compassion may not be required.

Alex and his team at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel did a great job from the beginning. Alex explained all the options. Everything from the slideshow to the wreaths was handled perfectly. He was very accommodating when I kept making changes to the list of names presenting the wreaths. When the relatives arrived, they were impressed. Great song selections and speeches. It served as a tribute to my mom.
